Then, After dealing you a death, We resurrected you for those among you who would be grateful (to Allah).
Tafsir
(Then We brought you back to life after your death, so that they may give thanks from amongst you), as I have mentioned in the above verse, was to show them the existence of Allah's Essence in the afterlife, which is beyond death, spiritually, like a dream world, so that those who will return amongst them may worship Allah and give thanks to Him without associating shirk with Him. Allah's miracles were not for the people of that time, but that they might be a reminder to the people who came after them.
What is said in the video
Having learned this much, we return to our lesson. Yes.
Then We revived you after your death, so that you might give thanks, it says. What does it say? So that you might give thanks. The people of the Children of Israel said: unless we see Allah Almighty openly, we will not believe. In this case, Allah Almighty sent people to an unseen realm. Now, our Lord says this in the Holy Quran: if this were made up by a human, many words that contradict each other would be found in it, He says. Now, if Allah Almighty sent us to an unseen realm, and if seeing our Lord in this realm is not possible, now, if Allah Almighty, to the people of the Children of Israel, had seen (?), this matter would amount to contradicting words, and Allah Almighty would be a (?) with a deficient attribute.
That is, He would have committed a deficiency. In this case, what does He do? Allah Almighty created us that way, with an eye by which He will be seen only in the hereafter. We will see Him only in the hereafter. Therefore, before dying, a person will hardly be able to see Allah Almighty. Before dying. In this case, now a question like this comes to my mind. Hodja, you used to say Allah is seen, didn't you; look now, them (?) with the eyes in your head you cannot see. What does it say? He sees, perceives; perceives, you cannot see. We will open those up to you too, the time will come. We only the spiritual one, spiritual: do you see your soul in your body?
Sir, that is a spiritual state. Now, without going further and without scattering our topic, let us continue with the verse. What does our Lord do to them? He kills them with a thunderbolt strike. He kills them. Then, after manifesting Himself to them with His Self, after showing His Self, what does He say? Look how beautifully He says it. Then We revived you after your death, so that you might give thanks. So after Allah Almighty took them, after taking their souls, after killing them, they have gone to a realm like the realm of the hereafter. Of course, by then he has died. Isn't that certain?
And there, spiritually, after seeing our Lord, then so that you might give thanks (?). Yes. You are the Truth. Allah is the Truth. There is no god but You. It is You who gives death and gives life. Yuhyî ve yümît. It is You who gives life and gives death. Saying this, sir, so that you might give thanks, so that you might know Me as Lord, We again it says, revived you, it says. Again. Yes. Plus, with this event Allah Almighty, to all the peoples who will come on earth after the people of the Children of Israel, that is, to people, the people who will come until the Day of Judgment, that His Self has power over all things, has made known. What does Allah Almighty say?
There is not a single living being to come until the Day of Judgment of whom We would not know what he will not do. So, to the people who will come until the Day of Judgment as well, since the Holy Quran will address people until the Day of Judgment, again to the people who will come until the Day of Judgment, He shows the miracle He performed on the people of the Children of Israel as an example.
He gives death and He gives life. Yes.
