Translation

At one time, Moses told his people, “Allah is Commanding you to slaughter a cow.” They said, “Are you mocking us?”. And he (Moses) said, “I seek refuge in Allah from being ignorant.”

Tafsir

In the people of Hazrat Moses, someone killed a man, but the perpetrator was unknown. So his people said to Moses, 'Tell your Lord that we may know who killed him. Thereupon Moses appealed to Allah (swt). Allah (swt) orders them to slaughter a cow. The people at first hesitated to believe this and said, "Are you mocking us? Then Moses turned to his people and said, "I seek refuge in Allah from being among the ignorant.

Prophets do not mock their people, they do not lie, they do not tell jokes to deceive them. They do not say anything that is not in the name of Allah. In this respect, they are people who can be trusted for the truthfulness of their words. In this respect, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is Muhammad'ul Amin. Finally, his people believed in Moses and asked Allah to tell us what kind of cattle it was.

What is said in the video

they tell of the miracles of His verses. Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 67: Moses had said to his people: Allah commands you to slaughter a cow. A cow.

He had said it, and they had said: Are you mocking us? And he had said: I seek refuge in Allah from being one of the ignorant. In one narration, they kill a man; his killer

is not found, the culprit unknown, and they want to find his killer. Just then Allah Almighty says: Slaughter a cow. Why does He not say an ox, or rather, not an ox, why does He not say a camel, not a sheep, not a goat, but: Slaughter a cow, He says.

In ancient Egypt and among the Arabs there was cow worship. So, both to prevent that worship by having the cow slaughtered, and also to show them Allah's oneness and that He is capable of everything. What are we saying? Among Moses' people someone kills a man. But the culprit is unknown.

Thereupon his people say to Moses: Tell your Lord, so that we may know who this is, they say. That is what they say. Look at the unbelievable adventures of this Jewish nation. We will call it an adventure anyway. What is it? Its unbelievable adventure. What is this unbelievable adventure? He saved you from Pharaoh's oppression. He freed you from the killing of your sons. He brought you across the Red Sea. He drowned Pharaoh in the sea before your eyes. In the desert of Tih He fed you quail and manna. So that you might have shade, He raised the Mount over your heads and gave you shade. And still: Moses, come on, tell your Lord to let us know this.

His Lord, our Lord, when He told Moses that a cow be slaughtered, then Moses, to his people, having shown so many miracles, although he knew he was a prophet, although they knew it, they say: Are you mocking us? Although they knew that a prophet would not lie, their insolence.

In fact, their talking like this is because faith had not settled in their hearts. One, that they still worshipped the cow, that there was a love for it in their dealings; two, that after a cow is slaughtered, sir, how could the dead one be found? Indeed these are events that only the God-fearing, those who believe and have faith in Allah, people who take refuge in Allah and trust Him, would believe; all the more if it is a prophet, all the more if in Allah's sight he is (?) and sinless, if what comes out of their mouths Allah Almighty will fulfill, if, because He has charged them with this duty, He will not make them out to be liars before His servants, then in the face of this a person's tongue is tied, his tongue, to say: Are you mocking us?

A people who had gone this far. Yes.

Thereupon Moses prays intimately to Allah Almighty. And Allah Almighty commands them to slaughter a cow. The people at first hesitate, not believing this event. Hesitation.

What will happen if we slaughter a cow? Or rather, some of them worship the cow anyway. They hold it sacred. Thereupon Moses turns to his people and what does he say? To them, a cow (?), what does he say? The people at first hesitate, not believing this event. Thereupon Moses turns to his people: I seek refuge in Allah from being one of the ignorant, he says. That is: I am telling you the truth. Am I one of those ignorant ones who lie and do not fear my Lord in my Lord's sight? he says. But who tells lies? People who do not fear Allah tell them. Yes, they tell lies. They hold back from Ahmet, they hold back from Mehmet.

Sir, he lies in his presence, but before Allah, who keeps him under constant watch and knows his every state, he tells the lie without shame. And without fearing Him he tells the lie.

Prophets never mock their people. You know how they say: Are you mocking us? Yet prophets do not mock their people. Who does the mocking?

Who does ridicule, making fun of people, looking down on them? Ignorant people whose nafs has not matured do it. He sees himself above people. In this state he looks down on people. Either with his money, or his property, or his children and family, among people he considers himself (?). Yet a person's standing lies between him and Allah. You cannot know how people's standing is. You cannot know that person's state with Allah. So your standing is not with matter, money, wealth, not with mocking people; it is knowing your Lord. So a prophet absolutely does not mock his people. Because he is in the position of their father.

He always approaches them with compassion and mercy. It is as a father approaches his child. Because the people of his nation are created from his spirit. He knows that these peoples are my children. Is there a verse? There is. Which verse? To Noah. What does Noah say? Let me give you my daughters, he says. Lot (peace be upon him). Lot (peace be upon him), yes. Lot (peace be upon him). What does he say? Let me give you my daughters, he says. My daughters. You know that homosexual people. Those who consort with men, sir. So thereupon, when he says, let me give you my daughters, how many daughters does he have to give to that people?

The women within that people, the women, since they are from his own spirit, are his daughters. A question like this might come to your mind. If they are his daughters, he marries from this people; is he not marrying his daughters? Although they are his daughters, they do not come from his loins, from his back. They are from his spirit. So each of us, although we are from the spirit of the Prophet (peace be upon him), so many people marry. In the position of his children. He married too. The parting of spirits is one thing, the law of coming from one's own loins another. Yes. Good. Listen. We are sorting out here the questions that will come to your mind.

Maybe there are some to whom they do not come; there will be some, and we still sort them out. Yes.

What does Moses say to his people? He had said: Allah commands you to slaughter a cow. Yes. We are reading the verse. We continue with verse 67. Prophets do not mock their people. They do not lie. They do not make jokes that would deceive them. They do not make jokes that would deceive. Above all, they say nothing that is not on Allah's behalf. The qualities of the prophets. In this respect, by the truthfulness of their words, they are people worthy of trust. By the truthfulness of their words.

Well, Hodja, except for the Prophet (peace be upon him), do they never, toward people, well, we know that Moses also killed a man. Do they never commit any shortcoming? What is in a person's mind? Sir, they do. They do. But they do not make a mistake that the people would notice, or that would corrupt morals, or by which they would abuse decency and manners, sir; they do not make such a mistake. How do they make the mistake? He makes it between himself and Allah.

Yes.

He knows that mistake and knows his helplessness. With that mistake.

In this case, in this

respect, by the truthfulness of their words they are people worthy of trust. The Messenger of the Almighty, Muhammad (peace be upon him), in this respect too is Muhammad al-Amin. Muhammad al-Amin. Why? They call him Muhammad al-Amin. Even his enemies called him Muhammad al-Amin. His enemies. Since childhood, through the decisions he gave and his being a friend, being truthful, he earned this title. Even his enemies, even the unbelievers, the idol worshippers called him trustworthy, Muhammad al- Amin. He speaks the truth. But when prophethood came and he set out to call to Allah, with their rebellion against Allah, with the covenants they gave in denial of Allah, because those characters were written for them, although they knew he was Muhammad al-Amin in the world too, they could not give up the whims of their nafs and follow the Prophet.

Because they said: We found our forefathers on this path. Even if your forefathers were wrong? says Allah Almighty. Even if they were wrong? Although they knew the word that says, even if they were wrong, they said: We do not believe you. Why do they not believe? Have you not seen the one who takes his nafs as a god? Because their nafs found themselves in a kind of greatness, they could not give it up. In this case, these people, sir, could not escape

from the swamp of unbelief.
