Who is a greater oppressor than the one who prevents the name of Allah from being used in Allah’s mosques and works towards destroying them? They may only enter mosques in a frightened manner. For the deniers, there is despicableness in this world. In the Hereafter, greatest punishment is upon them.
Tafsir
According to the Ayat al-Adwwwallahu wa adwwwaqum (your enemies and the enemies of Allah), since people are enemies of Allah, those who rebel against Allah in the eternal afterlife in the address of Elestu bi Rabbikum, those whose hearts are buried in the darkness of shirk and disbelief, since they are enemies of Allah, they are enemies of the places where Allah is mentioned. In this respect, the disbelievers who think that by eliminating the places where Allah is mentioned and where Allah is known, they will extinguish the fire of hatred in their hearts, in fact, they increase their own disbelief with a scattered and restless heart, deprived of the light of Allah, by igniting the fire of hatred in their hearts. They do not know that this world is programmed until doomsday. No one can disrupt this program of Allah. But they wrong their own souls with their disbelief and their actions.
The enmity of people against Allah never reaches Allah and cannot harm Him, and everyone lives his destiny according to his covenant, while the leaders of disbelief harbor the people of disbelief who follow behind. They cannot harm the people of faith and they cannot turn them from their path. Just as you cannot bring people of disbelief to faith, you cannot bring people of faith to disbelief.
No one is capable of breaking the covenant of man with Allah. Even man himself cannot break his own covenant. Because it is a program. His destiny is programmed according to his own desire and will. Imagine a computer. Accept that this computer is man himself. It is not possible for the computer to change a program loaded into it. Only the one who installed that program is capable of changing it. Because the one who installed that program in the computer installed it according to the computer's desire and will, that program has become the destiny of that computer. It is only when the computer is used that the program in it is seen for what it is. The use of that computer is man's witnessing himself against the covenant he made with Allah when he was born into the world and lived his life.
Who is more unjust than those who forbid the masjids of Allah from the remembrance of Allah's Name in them and work for their destruction? Such people have taken such a power and force against them that they can never reach Allah with their evil deeds, but who can be more cruel than one who is cruel to his own soul, with the burden of the greatest sin that he has committed by associating shirk with Allah, and who is cruel to his own soul than the people who have taken Allah against themselves by disbelieving in Allah, by rebelling against Allah?
When these people approach the masjids or mosques, they see a shiver and fear in their hearts. The reason for this shuddering and fear is that with the blessing of reason that Allah has given to human beings, they know their Lord, and in this consciousness, they realize and fear their own sins in their subconscious consciousness, under the burden of sin that they have committed by not being able to eradicate the seed of disbelief from their hearts.
Allah says of those disbelievers that they will be disgraced and humiliated in this world and will have the greatest torment in the Hereafter. What are their disgrace and humiliation in this world? Allah has created man very honorable. In this respect, He says: "I have created man in the most beautiful form". In this respect, He has made human beings (Ashraf-i mahluk). By creating human beings close to Allah (swt), Allah (swt) wants them to have honor, dignity, dignity and strong character. Therefore, in order for people to live in this way, He has sent His laws to them and has informed them with His Verses how to protect their honor and chastity. If people turn away from these Verses and disregard their honor and dignity, their honor and chastity, which are the most sacred things in the world, and do not protect them, then they are in a state of humiliation and contempt among people who know them. Allah (swt) says to them in one of His Verses, "They are like animals and even more astray in their course".
Thus, when people think that they are living in a state of humiliation and degradation with their enmity against Allah, and in that life they become proud and grandiose, deifying their ego and running in the direction of their own lustful evils, they have an inferiority complex in the presence of people of good character and chastity who are ruled by the commands of Allah. They consider themselves very low in the grandiose appearance of people who call themselves Allah. In order not to be humiliated and degraded in the presence of such people, they try with all their might to turn them in their direction. These are the ones who will suffer the greatest punishment in the Hereafter. May Allah protect us all from such a fate.
What is said in the video
We come to verse 114.
Who is more unjust than those who prevent Allah's mosques from Allah's name being mentioned in them and strive for their ruin, He says. More unjust. To abolish Allah's religion, than those who strive to turn its meeting places, His houses, the houses of Allah, into ruins, who could be more unjust? They could only have the right to enter the mosques in fear. The mosques in fear. And look, non-Muslims visit mosques like this. They really do enter in fear. They are afraid.
When we enter their churches, we are not afraid at all. Why do we go in? To see their state. What nonsense they submit to, what they believe in. Is there any god besides Allah? They set up idols and worship them. What do you pity people for, then? We are not afraid of them at all. But when they enter the mosques, they are really afraid. Look, you see such a state of timidity on them.
For those unbelievers there is humiliation and disgrace in this world. And in the hereafter the greatest punishment is theirs too. Isn't there humiliation and disgrace among the unbelievers? But theirs is: spit in their eyes and they think it is raining from the sky. Where do their disgrace and humiliation come from? When they say something, they do not stand by their word, they show no faithfulness. They turn now this way, now that way. Because they have no concept of morality, misery seizes them by the collar. For that money, that material thing, they do a thousand somersaults in front of one another.
This one lords it over that one, that one lords it over this one. Insult and disgrace between them reach the skies. These are in human form. That is, human in form, but what they live are not the qualities of a human. "İnsan" in Arabic comes from the verbal noun "üns". Üns: capable. Allah Almighty created the human being very honoured. That human being must be worthy of that honoured creation. Yes. For their actions of this kind, Allah Almighty says: the greatest punishment is theirs too. In a verse, according to the verse where He says "your enemies and Allah's enemies", according to it: your enemies and Allah's enemies; yet in this verse, how do they explain it?
Your enemies and those who are Allah's enemies. (?). Allah is no one's enemy. Allah's power suffices for everything. Allah created no being that His power cannot handle. That is why Allah is no one's enemy. But people are enemies of their own selves. And so they are enemies of Allah. According to this verse of His, when people are enemies of Allah, in the eternal barzakh, at the address "Elest-i Rabbiküm", those who rebelled against Allah, that is, those who do not know Allah, those awaiting the lord of their own imagination, those whose hearts are buried in the darkness of shirk and in unbelief: because these are enemies of Allah, they are enemies also of the places where Allah is mentioned.
They are enemies also of the places where Allah is mentioned.
For this reason, the unbelievers who think that by abolishing places where Allah is called upon and made known they will extinguish the fire of hatred in their hearts. In fact, by inflaming the fire of hatred in their hearts, deprived of Allah's light, with a scattered and restless heart, they increase their own unbelief.
So when He says their hearts are restless and scattered, then, to be able to dispel that restlessness, inflaming their own hatred and, within that hatred, to satisfy themselves, those who attack Allah's houses, those who strive to abolish them, say they have satisfied themselves. In fact, within a loss, caught in a whirlpool, they leave their lives, in an even more abject state, condemned to be lived in such darkness. Deprived of Allah's light, with a scattered and restless heart, they increase their own unbelief. They do not know that this world is programmed until the Day of Resurrection.
This world is programmed until the Day of Resurrection. Allah Almighty has programmed the worlds according to people's desires and wishes, within times, until the Day of Resurrection. There is not a single living being, not a single living being to come until the Day of Resurrection, of which We do not know what it will not do. In this case, however far a person goes in oppression, even if this whole universe gathered and united in oppression, they could not harm Allah. In this case, even if this whole universe gathered, they could not break Allah's program either. That program will continue until the Day of Resurrection.
What does Allah Almighty say? Did they think that with the blowing of their mouths Allah's light they would extinguish? Allah will complete His light until the Day of Resurrection. Yes. They do not know that this world is programmed until the Day of Resurrection. No one can break this program of Allah. He only wrongs his own self with the unbelief and deeds he has done.
People's enmity towards Allah never reaches Allah and cannot harm Him. Not only people's. As I said a moment ago, even if men and jinn gathered, if all created beings gathered, they could not harm Allah. The reason: Allah Almighty says in His verse He has power over all things. If He has power over all things, Allah, who created all things, who created these beings, from the atom to the globe, who created these worlds, created them within His rule. That is why no being, no being, no being can harm Allah. Even if they gathered.
While everyone lives their own destiny according to the covenant they gave, the pioneers of unbelief also harbour the people of unbelief who come after them. What is that? While everyone lives their own destiny according to the covenant they gave, the pioneers of unbelief, who are these pioneers of unbelief? In our time, certain taghuts. Those who do what Allah said not to do, and who judge by their own reason; you know how once, in the Torah and the Psalms, in the Gospel, people changed the books according to their own reason, put their own ideologies into them; well, they would put them into the Quran too, but they cannot do it, they are unable, they cannot succeed.
Why can't they succeed? According to His verse "We sent down the Quran, and We are its guardian until the Day of Resurrection", they cannot succeed. For this reason, even someone who says "I am a Muslim" turns his back on the Quran. Reaching the skies in immorality, in (?), with their rebellions they do not hold back from committing every kind of filth.
Yes. These are the pioneers of unbelief. These are the pioneers of unbelief. You know how they say "star", you know, those stars of the Antichrist's televisions, those who strip stark naked and appear on those televisions, well, these are the pioneers of unbelief.
Because they are a very bad example for the future. If you ask him, he is a Muslim, he has faith.
Even if you have faith in what Allah has forbidden you, if you lead unbelief for these people in this way, stripping all your private parts stark naked, exposing them, posing, spreading it around, if like animals that have left humanity you expose yourself, if this is not leadership of unbelief, what is it? And what kind of star are you? A star of unbelief; how nicely you have given yourself the name: star of unbelief. But when I address you like this, do you know how much you become my enemy? Do you know where your enmity towards me comes from?
From your self coming to (?); your reason accepts what I rightly say, your reason, your self erupts at me. Because the self never makes a concession on Allah's side. It always does the opposite of Allah. It always does His opposite. And you have become a captive of your self. Although your reason knows that I speak rightly about you, because you are a captive of your self, you erupt like this. You will never have enough of the world either. With states such as fame, glory, pride and arrogance, by lording it over one another with your worldly goods, by showing off your fine wealth around you like Korah, misery seizes you by the collar.
You set a fine lead for those who come after you too. You harbour them. Yes. It harbours the people of unbelief who come after. They cannot bring any harm to a person of faith, nor can they turn them from their path. Just as he cannot bring the people of unbelief to faith, he cannot take the people of faith to unbelief either. Today, a person who knows himself, a person who knows himself, when certain stark-naked things are watched on television, when those belly dancers dance, so as not to earn sin, they switch it off. There are such people too. But out of necessity they look at the television with that disposition.
They look. Because there is also a hadith about it.
What hadith is there? What does it say? About the Antichrist: even saints will not be able to keep themselves from following him. He will say Allah, and make people follow him. He is one-eyed. He will travel around the world in three or four steps. So the Antichrist is not the television. The Antichrist is those who run it. Antichrists. Yes. All of them, Hodja? Among them there will also be those who say Allah, as an example to them. Among them. You cannot say all of them. They, unwillingly, on condition of not following them, will also be a fine example. Without following them. How many people? One here, one there.
Allah will show them as an example to them too. Yes.
It is not possible for anyone to break people's covenant with Allah. In fact a person cannot even break his own covenant himself. Characters are like that. He does not know how he saw it in his covenant. It is closed. His own characters, his own desires and wishes; by playing out those desires and wishes he will bring about his life. Because this is a program; man's destiny is programmed in the direction of his own desires and wishes. Picture a computer before your eyes; accept that this computer is the person himself. A program loaded onto it, it is impossible for the computer to change by itself.
Only the one who loaded that program is able to change it. Because the one who loaded that program onto the computer loaded it in the direction of that computer's desires and wishes, that program has become the destiny of that computer. But only when the computer is used is it seen what the program inside it is. The use of that computer is a person, coming into the world and living his life, making himself a witness against the covenant he gave to Allah. How beautiful: here, to the human being we explain the human being, we describe him; here Who could be more unjust than people who prevent Allah's mosques from Allah's name being mentioned in them and strive for their ruin? If a person is an enemy of another person, what does he do? Either his wealth or his property, that is, he tries to harm him.
If he cannot harm him himself, he tries to harm his wealth and property. So, because their power cannot reach Allah, the act he will do to prove it to himself in the best way is attacking Allah's houses, or working to abolish Allah's religion. He cannot know that these worlds are programmed, that everything he does will increase the unbelief of his own self and increase his punishment in the hereafter; he cannot know. Because that side of him is veiled. Veiled. There is a veil over his eyes. He cannot see the truth. His ears are blocked, he cannot hear the truth. His heart is sealed anyway; he can never turn to the truth.
Yes.
Such people have taken on such a power and might against themselves that, while with the evils they have done they can never reach Allah with any harm, not even an atom's worth, while they can never reach Allah even an atom's worth, with the greatest burden of sin they have committed, by associating partners with Allah, denying Allah and rebelling against Allah, than people who set Allah Almighty against themselves, than those who are unjust to their own selves, who could be more unjust? Like that.
I have a recommendation for you. Don't misunderstand this; I am very wary of advertising, and I am very wary of recommending things to people too, in case there might be some self-interest in it. I don't want to bring any harm to our site like that, but giving this tafsir as a gift to your children is of great benefit. Get this tafsir, even recommend it. You won't find it again; I won't print it anymore anyway, I won't have it printed again. It is very hard. Because there are very few people who see the truth and want to take the truth. We will upload it to the site, though; perhaps they will read it on the site.
But however much you read, it cannot be as valuable as having it at home. Because you may find that one day your child gets bored, picks it up, reads a verse, and perhaps attains guidance. So while there is a chance, truly, tell your spouse and friends.
At the head of the site, Ceyhun Efendi, Ceyhun Marlı; try to obtain this book from him. Tomorrow you will say "alas", and you won't be able to get it. Yes. There are no fancy words like others write. No deceiving people with frilly words. It is all written in plain Turkish speech, in the spoken language. A book written in a language everyone will understand. This is my recommendation to you.
I have no interest in this. Here we work for people's benefit. That is why there are only a few left at our house too. Whoever catches one, catches one. If we ever go to print again, there will only be orders. Like a thousand, two thousand, three thousand orders. Then we will have it printed, that is. I don't expect this either. But Allah's unknown doors are many. You may find that perhaps He has thousands printed.
Yes.
With the greatest burden of sin, by associating partners with Allah, denying Allah and rebelling against Allah, than people who set Allah Almighty against themselves, than those who are unjust to their own selves, who could be more unjust? When these people approach mosques, there is a shudder and a fear in their hearts. As I explained at the beginning, I used to watch them, I would go in and look. You know how sometimes those non-Muslims come to Sultanahmet, women, men; they give them a headscarf to put on, and timidly like this, the shudder in them was visible. Beware the insight of the believer; he sees with Allah's light, it says.
I used to watch that shudder in them, that fear, that change of colour. Yes.
The cause of this shudder and fear is that, with the blessing of reason Allah Almighty has given people, he knows his Lord, and that, within this awareness, he cannot wipe out the seed of unbelief in his heart from himself, and under the burden of sin he has committed, subconsciously, within that awareness, he grasps his own sins and is afraid. Yes. What beautiful meanings there are here. Let us read it again. Look at this part. The cause of this shudder and fear is, with the blessing of reason Allah Almighty has given people. What is this? Every mind: I was created. A Lord created me. He exists.
With the blessing of reason. His knowing his Lord, that is, his knowing Allah. That is, one Allah created, He exists. And within this awareness, his not being able to wipe out the seed of unbelief in his heart from himself; what is that? The other one, in the barzakh, awaiting the lord of his own imagination, because of his rebellion against Allah, having his own character, that is, his desire and feeling, written for himself as his character. Yes. Yes, within awareness, by his not being able to wipe out the seed of unbelief in his heart from himself, under the burden of sin he has committed. In mosques he knows that this too is Allah's house, that is, the house of the Lord these people believe in. The true Allah is He, but because he cannot grasp Him, or because he denies Him, that fright is present in his heart.
He knows that. Their religion. The religion of Islam came last. And their believing in this Allah, believing in one single Allah, he knows this too. Within that awareness, his own rebellion: because he could not cast out the seed of unbelief in his heart, a shudder arises in him.
Under the burden of sin, within subconscious awareness; in the subconscious there is an awareness: Allah exists. The Lord exists. He created me. Yes. It lies in his grasping his own sins in his (?) and being afraid. His floundering within these doubts, and again, because his own self outweighs his blessing of reason, seeing himself as right and turning back to his own side. Yes.
We continue with the verse. Allah Almighty, to those unbelievers, Allah Almighty: for those unbelievers, for them in this world there is disgrace and humiliation. He commands.
What is it? Humiliation and disgrace. What is humiliation? As I said a moment ago. They talk. They do somersaults with one another for their interests. This one lords it over that one. This one lies to that one. That one finds out his lie. (?) That is, outside humanity, with a life, with that humiliation, with (?), they live on and go. What, and only what, binds them to one another? Material things. Whoever has material things, he flatters him.
Let him lie if he wants. (?) to him. He knows he is lying. But as soon as he finds the chance, he immediately (?). That is humiliation, misery. It has stuck to their collars. And in the hereafter the greatest punishment is theirs too. He commands. Because against Allah's houses, or against Allah's religion, you engage in a struggle. Although you were created this way as the most excellent of created beings, you are endowed with the worst qualities, and perhaps in this situation, since you made your own decision yourself, in return for the (?) you earned, according to His verse, where is the place worthy of disgrace and humiliation?
The fire of hell, the place of punishment. Go on, in you go, says Allah Almighty. What are their disgrace and humiliation in this world? We are writing it now. What are their disgrace and humiliation in this world? Allah Almighty created man very honoured. In this respect, He says He created man in the most beautiful form. In this respect He made people the noblest of creatures. With people's creation close to Allah Almighty, Allah Almighty wants people to be dignified, honourable, self-respecting, of strong character. Because they are the most honoured of the beings He created. Why? He gave him of His spirit.
Because He gave him of His spirit; a father wants his child, his child, to be in the best way. Because a father wants his children, in the best way, to be strong, powerful, strong-willed, and people who keep their word. So Allah Almighty too, because He gave man of His spirit, because he is the noblest and most excellent of all the beings He created, people as dignified, fine, of good character, keeping their word, and as beings of sound judgment He wants to see.
Yes.
In this respect, so that people can live like this, He sent His laws to those people. What does Allah Almighty do? So that such people can live in the best way, and although He created man close to Himself, creating his reason deficient, so that, with his faults and shortcomings, he knows his helplessness and asks his Lord for forgiveness, and knows that he was created as a servant, that in his helplessness he is in need of his Lord, what does Allah Almighty do? He creates reason deficient, and in this situation, so that people can live as the most honoured being, He sends them His laws. What a beautiful order Allah Almighty has established.
Yes. He sent His laws, and through His verses how they are to protect their chastity, honour and virtue He has made known. If people turn away from these verses, hold as nothing their honour and dignity, the chastity and virtue they regard as most sacred in the world, and do not protect them, then of course he is in humiliation. And among people who know themselves, they are in a contemptible and base state. Today we look: among non-Muslims there is no family life. The woman sleeps with someone else as she pleases. The man sleeps with someone else as he pleases. That one says: she lives her own life.
I live my own life, he says. Is there in this any honour and dignity, and, as Allah Almighty made known, any state of living by a law? That is how they even marry brother to sister. Because, with forbidden loves, the children of fornication who come about, people unaware of one another also marry. These are great sinners. As captives of their selfish feelings, they turn their backs on Allah's verses. Yes, today among Muslims too there are those called stars, you know; they do these things, they live them, those stars. Hodja, you've got it in for those stars. Why have you got it in for them? No, I haven't.
I don't get fixed on anything. I pity people. Pity them, pity them, that for the pleasures of this transient worldly life of a few hours they give themselves over, and in the hereafter they are left with the greatest punishment. Yes, pity them. I feel sorry for them. Well, Hodja, do these go as unbelievers? I do not say of anyone that he goes as an unbeliever, but they are leading unbelief. What comes after, Allah knows best. What does He say? Do not mock any people. It may be that that people is better than you, He says. Then, if one repents, feels remorse and turns back, well, perhaps from what we say he grasps something, takes something from it and turns back, then we too will be glad, of course. We too will have earned a reward.
And because we told the truth, we will have earned a reward. Allah Almighty does not want indecency and (?) on earth. Let there be among you people who tell of truth and justice, He says. We tell of truth and justice. We tell of Allah's verses. Yes.
What are we saying now? If one holds as nothing the chastity and virtue he regards as most sacred in the world and does not protect them, then of course he is in humiliation, and among people who know themselves they are in a contemptible and base state. Allah Almighty, in a verse about these, says they are like cattle, even more astray. So man, with his enmity to Allah, taking a contemptible and base state for life, a contemptible and base state for life, and within that life, falling into pride and arrogance, deifying his self, while running in the direction of his lustful evils, in the presence of sound, upright and chaste people who judge by Allah's commands they fall into an inferiority complex.
Within the majestic appearance of people who say Allah, they see themselves as very lowly. So as not to fall into a contemptible and base state beside such people, they try with all their might to turn these too in their own direction. That is, beside such people, that is, people who say Allah, people who are with Allah, Allah, to such people they appear very majestic. Allah shows them that way. Reflecting that light of faith in him, He shows them as very strong, majestic, that is, of strong character. So these, so as not to be belittled beside them, by looking down on them, presenting themselves as low, try to dispel that restlessness of theirs. That is why, to try to turn them to themselves too, they mock them.
Yes. For example, those who look down on our ladies who cover their (?) and say "what is this", and look at them with contempt. O man! She is carrying out her Lord's command. Our Lord, who gives you provision, who feeds you and gives you drink, who grants you a good life; denying our Lord's kindness to you, and those who carry out His command, so ungratefully looking down on them and degrading her, shows that you have nothing to do with humanity.
Those daughters of ours, the ladies who carry out their Lord's command, who wear that headscarf, aren't they there? Don't forget that the world stands for their sake. Because as long as they remain, this world will live on. And they will come after, too. And you too, because of their mercy, because of Allah's mercy on them, will receive provision. (?) But my wish is that, before finding that unbelief, you be with those who return to their Lord, so that life comes alive in you. Don't sink into that swamp. Yes.
So man, with his enmity to Allah, taking a contemptible and humiliated state for life, within that life falling into pride and arrogance, deifying his self, while running in the direction of his lustful evils, in the presence of sound, upright people of character who judge by Allah's commands and chaste people, they fall into an inferiority complex. Within the majestic appearance of people who say Allah, they see themselves as very lowly. So as not to fall into a contemptible and base state beside such people, they try with all their might to turn these too in their own direction. So these are left with the greatest punishment in the hereafter.
May Allah Almighty protect us all from such an end. Amen.
