Allah is the unique Creator of the heavens and the earth; when Allah wills something, Allah only Says “Be it!” and it becomes.
Tafsir
There is no god other than Allah who can claim what Allah has created. He can say, "I created this too. In this respect, by proving that there is no deity other than Allah (swt), He has used the phrase "the unique creator of the heavens and the earth" to mean that if there is anyone in the universe who can create a being like the one I have created, He is the unique creator.
When He wills something to be created, He only says, 'Be' and it comes into being. If we explain the verse, "He says, 'Be' and it comes into being," we can see that Allah did not say, "Be" to anything and it came into being with a sound or a letter. This means that when Allah wills something to be created, He creates it, because it is not difficult for Allah to create. Allah, who created this universe out of nothing, designed and created everything as a plan and project. The proof of this is in a verse, "We created the earth in two days, the heavens in two days and what is between them in two days". The sum of these is six days. These days are not days of this world, but days of the Hereafter. There is a difference of a thousand years between the days of this world and the Hereafter. Again, Allah (swt) says in His verse, "One day of the Hereafter is like a thousand years of this world". Since the world realm had not yet been created when Allah (swt) began to create, Allah (swt) says, "We created the earth in two days, and the heavens in two days, and all that is between them in two days", making a total of six days with the days of the Hereafter. In Earth days, that makes six thousand years.
So we understand from this that Allah (swt) does not create with letters and sounds. Imam al-Ghazali Hazretleri, in his Ihya-u Ulumiddin, uses this exact wording. (That foolish man thinks that Allah said, "Be" and it came into being with sound and letter).
Accordingly, when Allah intends to create something according to His will, He simply says, "Be" and creates it. Allah knows the secret of the creation of created things. The secrets of creation belong to Allah. In this respect, He does not need anything, nor does He need sons and daughters, He only creates. He has created all created beings in such a way that they are in need of His Essence. Allah is free from all created beings. All beings are His and all created beings are subject to Him. This is where one of the many attributes of Allah (swt), the attribute of Hay, i.e. life, appears.
What is said in the video
Seventeenth — we come to verse one hundred and seventeen. What does Allah Almighty say in verse 117?
He is the matchless Creator of the heavens and the earth. And surely, if no one can grasp Allah Almighty's creative knowledge, and surely if Allah Almighty has, from atom to globe, all the beings He created under His rule taken — a matchless Creator, matchless. He has no equal and no partner.
Nor does He have any match. Who could ever reach the power of Allah, who brought these worlds into being from nothing? What does it say? He is the matchless Creator of the heavens and the earth. He is a magnificent Creator. When He wills a thing, He only says to it "Be", and it is.
How beautifully it puts it. That Creator, when He wills a thing, to it He only says "Be", and it is.
There is no god but Allah who could lay claim to Allah's creations.
Who could lay claim to what Allah created? Everyone knows that man is not capable of creating anything. And since there is no being in the universe as intelligent as man, the absolute Owner, Ruler and Creator of this universe is that matchless and magnificent Allah Almighty, our Lord. And of this, let that person say: I created it. Allah — since there is no creator but Allah, can anyone say: I created this? Hence, prove that there is no god but Allah Himself. The matchless Creator of the heavens and the earth. Using that phrase. Let me correct this part.
The place I'll correct is this. It's right, but it has something missing; let's write it in full.
Now then, to you, between what I first wrote and what I wrote last, I'll explain the difference too.
We say "of the earths and the heavens". You can't make sense of this.
Here we said "the matchless Creator of the earths and the heavens". Whereas it is "of the heavens and the earth". "The earth." Hodja, what's the difference? The difference: heavens stays heavens, but earths — earths went from plural to "the earth". It became "the earth". Hodja, what's the difference? Look, now I'll explain the difference to you.
What is the difference? In no verse of the Holy Quran does "the heavens and the earths" occur. It occurs as "the heavens and the earth". Why is that? When He says heavens: the many angels He created in the heavens — on every level there are angels. When He says "the earth", if the earth's vicegerent is man, if it is man — that there is no such being anywhere other than man, it signifies here. If there is anyone on earth who (?) to understand this meaning, let him come. Let him explain it. Let him distinguish the meaning of "earths" from "earth". So when He says "earth": in this universe, Allah Almighty, who willed to be known through man, placing man in the world of matter, the lowest of the low, the world of matter — bringing and setting him there, and making him vicegerent among His creations — that is the vicegerent of the earth.
Not of the earths: the vicegerent of the earth, this world, and other than this world no other being, as earths, above that vicegerent was created. That is, no being like man was created, no being to whom He gave of His spirit. Only the humans He gave of His spirit are on the earth, which is this world; so it occurs in the singular form. Singular, not plural. Yes.
I suppose we've understood this part well enough. Allah Almighty in His verse, Surah Al-Baqarah, 117th verse: He is the matchless Creator of the heavens and the earth. When He wills a thing, He only says to it "Be", and it is. We've explained this "Be" (?) to you several times. Yes. I won't dwell on it here. We'll try to explain the verse. There is no god but Allah who could lay claim to Allah's creations and say: I created this. That is not possible. What does Allah Almighty say? The heavens and the earth and what is between them know the remembrance of their Lord. So if the heavens and the earth and what is between them, from atom to globe, whatever there is, remember Allah — just as a factory makes a product and stamps its logo on it, saying "I made this product", so on this universe, from its atom to its globe, Allah Almighty stamping His sign on it and making it remember Him, He shows us in this way that there is no god but Allah — full stop.
Yes, in this way too, this seemingly endless seven-layered universe, seven layers, and this magnificent creation, is only from that magnificent, superhuman Creator beyond our minds, our Lord. Of course He will be magnificent. The Owner of this magnificent universe will of course be magnificent. If our minds cannot grasp these magnificently created worlds, our Lord we can never fit into our heads. He too is magnificent. Yes. Hence, prove that there is no god but Allah Himself. As we said, that there is no god but Him it proves. "Of the heavens and the earth." Using the phrase "matchless Creator", meaning: is there anyone else in the universe to create a being like the ones I created?
— in that sense. He is the matchless Creator. He has used that phrase. Is there anyone else? Forget creating this universe, forget creating something like the world — within the world, is it possible to create even one atom from nothing? Man doesn't have it. Why not?
Why not? To you we'll answer from the verse. Or do you own even an atom of your world? If that were so, nothing of your world would be given to you. That is, are you able to create an atom from nothing in this world? If you had created an atom from nothing, the things to meet your own needs you would create too. You would not be in need of Me. And I would give you nothing of My creations, says Allah Almighty. So man's need of Allah comes to light, and in this case the heavens and the earth and what is between them — this magnificent creation, this magnificent event — the proof that it was created by that magnificent Allah it becomes. Yes, when He wills a thing to be created, He only says to it "Be", and it is.
Yes, He only says "Be". He says "Be", and it is. If we explain the verse a bit, we say here: Allah Almighty did not say "Be" to anything such that it came to be with sound and letters. Now, someone whose faith is strong — he has faith. But he has no knowledge. Because of his faith, the person,
because of his faith, the person says Allah Almighty said "Be" and it is. Faith is a beautiful thing, but an ignorant faith. What does Allah Almighty say? It is the scholars who fear Me most, the scholars who love Me most. He — there is faith, but without knowledge, ignorantly, his saying "when Allah says Be, it is, it happens" is beautiful — beautiful because of his faith, his belief in Allah — but ignorant. That is, it is not sound and letters. Is there proof? There is. There is. With verses. What does Allah Almighty say? I created the heavens in two days, the earth in two days, and what is between them in two days.
I created it all in six days, He says. Since the world did not yet exist, Allah Almighty, by the days of the hereafter, as He said — by world years, by world days, in six thousand years He created these worlds. In six thousand years. So His saying "Be" is "Be": that is, when Allah Almighty wills a thing, He creates it. It happens. In this sense. So what does He say? Once I will a thing — for Me there is no "no", He says. Right, (?). I create, He says. Because He has the power to bring into being from nothing; He knows that secret, has found it, He owns that secret, owns creation. He has forbidden this to people; had He given people, too, a mind to find this secret, Allah Almighty would have created a being that is His counterpart or equal to Him — God forbid.
And this world, since people's nafs (?), would fall into chaos. Indeed, what does it say? If there were another god besides Allah, one would take his creations, the other would take his creations, and all would drown in (?), it says. Yes. That is why Allah Almighty has given people no mind to solve the secret of creation. And since creation belongs to Allah Almighty alone, He is truly magnificent. Magnificent.
Yes. The point here: when Allah wills a thing to be created, He creates it. Because for Allah — creating is not hard for Allah.
Allah, who this universe brought into being from nothing, designed everything as a plan and project and created it. In His creations you can find no flaw. The world runs on a program until its end. Within that program, when times are created, the causes that will appear in those times Allah Almighty brings about, and people, or His creations, benefiting from what He brings forth, earn their livelihood or prove what kind of people they are.
The proof of this is in a verse: We created the earth in two days, the heavens in two days and what is between them in two days. Together these make six days. These days are not days of this world but days of the hereafter. Between the days of this world and a day of the hereafter there is a difference like a thousand years. Again, Allah Almighty in His verse: one day of the hereafter is like a thousand years of this world, He says. When Allah Almighty began to create — since the world had not yet been created — Allah Almighty, speaking of days of the hereafter, saying We created the earth in two days, the heavens in two days, and what is between them in two days — in days of the hereafter that makes six days in total, and in world days six thousand years.
So from this we understand that Allah Almighty — not that — with letters and sound does not create. And Imam al-Ghazali, in Ihya Ulum al-Din, uses exactly this word. The exact word, Ihya Ulum al-Din (?). That fool thinks that
Allah said "Be" and it came to be with sound and letters. Accordingly, when Allah intends to create a thing in accordance with His will, He only says to it "Be". That is, He says: I create. The secret of the creation of that created thing is clear to Allah. He knows. He knows how He will create. Allah Almighty creates it. Because the knowledge of the secret of creation exists in Him, the secrets of creation belong to Allah. No one can say: I created this. What do some people do? "This person created that" — God forbid, that is shirk. Inventing something that didn't exist does not mean creating.
By combining existing things with one another, a branch of science can be produced. That is not creating, it is invention. Creating, on the other hand, is — something that isn't in your hands, something not in the universe — your (?) it from nothing. (?). That is called creating. That is creating. That's why, since we use separate words in separate meanings, may Allah forgive us, by saying "created" we fall into shirk — by saying "Tarancı created this". If deeds were not bound to intention, what does Allah Almighty say? If you were seized for the mistakes you make, you would not find a single living being on earth, He says.
Yes. So just as He needs nothing, of a child and (?) He has no need either. He only creates. What did it say? In the verse, Allah Almighty: He is the matchless Creator of the heavens and the earth. When He wills a thing, He only says to it "Be", and it is. So if this whole universe is Allah Almighty's, since He needs nothing, of a child and (?) He has no need.
If He had a need of a child and (?) like us, many kinds of questions could come to our minds. Since this whole universe, all these created things, are a part of Him, He has no need of a child and (?). So just as He needs nothing, of a child and (?) He has no need. He only creates. He creates. And He created all created beings so that they are in need of Him.
Allah, however, is free of all the beings He created. That is, by our Lord's attribute — giving life to His creations and being free of them, not needing them. Now, like this, we can think a bit broadly. Broadly.
People multiply by marrying. What happens? Wife, children, relatives, kin. Let me say.
They call this lineage. They call it a tribe. There's a tribe. They choose a chief to lead them. They obey him. Since this world is a likeness, a shadow of the hereafter, since our Lord gave us of His spirit — to us, since He gave of His spirit — and because of the spirit He gave (?), would He ever need a wife or child? And just as a lineage puts someone at its head and follows him — so, as long as the people He gave of His spirit know their Lord, as long as it is as their Lord says, that Lord embraces them and gives them the place prepared for them in Paradise, and He needs neither wife nor child.
Since the people He created carry a part from Him, to call this "He has taken wife and child" — saying that is beyond reason — it is nothing but the senselessness of people who slander Allah, nothing else. Yes, all beings are His, and all created things have submitted to Him, submitted to Allah. Here, one of Allah Almighty's many attributes, Hayy, that is, the Living, emerges. Now, there are also some points here to explain; if we explain them a little, you'll understand better. What are we saying now? He created people so that they are in need of Him. Allah, however, is free of all created beings; He is Living.
All beings are His, and all created things have submitted to Him.
Pay attention to these words of mine. All beings are His, and all created things to Him have submitted. A question like this may come to your mind. Did the unbeliever, (?), submit too?
Hodja, here you say all created things submitted. Does that now fit those who rebel against Allah? As we said, if you answer according to one verse, you'll say one thing here, and over there you'll say another — because you can't fully know the secret of that verse.
Those verses have secrets. What does Allah Almighty say? Whomever We give knowledge, We give wisdom. That wisdom is the ability to discern. The unbeliever's body, body — those bodies remember Allah. What did we say? Everything, living and lifeless, from atom to globe, remembers Allah. He (?), his body remembers (?). And again, his spirit is created, isn't it? He rebelled. He rebelled, but look, pay close attention to my words. What are we saying? Created things have submitted to Him. All created things have submitted to Him. That is, on the Day of Judgment — He gives him a set time. In this world. Then every soul will taste death, and according to the verse where He says (?), We, He says, according to the covenant you gave at the address "Elestü bi-Rabbiküm", left you free in the world, during the time you seem free, and with the deeds you have done you will return to Us through death, and at the Great Tribunal We will call you to account, He says.
And in the end he submitted to Him; had they not submitted, they could not have entered Hell. There too they are under His rule. Under His rule. Even though he is in rebellion, his rebellion the punishment of his own self increases, but he cannot step outside our Lord's rule. His command: straight to Hell. So everyone has submitted to Him. No one can step outside His rule. One must comprehend the verses very well. Every word I say corresponds to the verses. Yes, here, one of Allah Almighty's many attributes, Hayy, that is, the Living — this attribute too comes to light.
