Tafsir
Allah (swt) informs us that the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was sent to mankind as a servant and Messenger of Allah (swt) as a guide, a savior, a guide and a herald of His mercy, and at the same time, Allah (swt) informs us that the punishment of Allah (swt) is righteous for those who do not keep the commandments of Allah (swt) and that he came as a scarer of hell. He declares to us with his verses that he has come with the true Qur'an as a messenger to the people he created and addressed.
He sent Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) as a Prophet whom He will never send a Prophet again, as a Khatemen Nebi, the terminator of Prophethood, with the Holy Qur'an as a mercy to the worlds and addressing all mankind; O mankind! The Prophet who has come to you with all kinds of evidence and clarity beyond doubt is a true Prophet. He has been sent by me to people with the true Qur'an as a messenger of my commandment and a herald of my mercy. Whoever believes in the verses of the Qur'an, submits to his Lord on the path shown by my Messenger, keeps His commandments and avoids His prohibitions, he has attained guidance. O my Messenger! Give him glad tidings of My Paradise. And whoever disbelieves in the Verses of Allah, frighten them with My punishment and Hell. Lest they fear My punishment and become guided. Those who do not accept the Truth and disbelieve in it, who, in spite of all the evidence, because of their stubbornness, drown the light of faith in the darkness of shirk, and cause mischief, these are the ones who will go to Hell. (You are not responsible for them).) While fulfilling the duty of notification, because he felt a sense of responsibility towards the people he could not make his notification known to, because he was afraid that he might make a deficiency while fulfilling the duty of notification, and because he was afraid that he felt that he had caused people who would enter hell, even if it was a little bit, Allah (swt) addresses the Messenger of Allah and the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) to our Prophet; O Habibim! (You are not responsible for the people of hell).
Another meaning is that our Lord addressed Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) and said: O my Prophet! You have fulfilled your duty as per my command according to the Verse (you do not speak in vain) which I have revealed about you. You have communicated my command to the people. I know that You wish people to be guided. But you also know that the destiny of every human being is written for him/her in the direction of his/her desire and will, and that these destinies will not change. So do not grieve. He says, "You are not responsible for those who buy hell and are the inhabitants of hell.

To verse 119. There is no doubt that We have sent you as the bearer of glad tidings of Our mercy — whom? the Prophet — as the bearer of glad tidings of Our mercy and the warner of Our punishment, with the truth, with the Quran. And you are not responsible for the people of Hell. And how beautifully it puts it. You are not responsible for the people of Hell either. Why? You are a prophet. You are the one who carries out My command. No harm comes to the messenger. You tell. They — everyone has their own destiny. He will live his own destiny, and whatever covenant he gave Me — however I made a covenant with them — he will live that covenant.
Since everyone is free in their own will, in their own judgment, since We have left this judgment, the freedom of judgment, to their own will, We have held no one responsible for anyone, says Allah Almighty. So you are not responsible for them either. You are responsible for the people of Paradise. Why? Not for the people of Hell, but you are responsible for the people of Paradise. Because if not for him — Allah Almighty made the truth known to us through him.
And the Prophet (peace be upon him) made the truth known to us. Through him we found the truth.
He was surely going to make it known through someone. And since that is Muhammad (peace be upon him), we pray for him. Since he helped us find what is right, (?) from us he receives very great rewards, and he intercedes for us. But he is not responsible for the people of Hell. Everyone is responsible for what they do. Yes.
There is no doubt that as the bearer of glad tidings of Our mercy and the warner of Our punishment, with the truth, the Quran, We have sent you. You are not responsible for the people of Hell. Muhammad (peace be upon him), as Allah Almighty's servant and messenger, is a guidance to people, a saviour, a guide and the bearer of glad tidings of His mercy. What is he? The bearer of glad tidings of His mercy. O people! There is no god but Allah.
Muhammad is His servant and messenger. If you do what your Lord who created you says, our Lord promises you Paradise. According to the verse "Who is more faithful to his word than Allah?", Paradise for you He has prepared. O people! Our Lord, against whom your strength falls short, whom the worlds united cannot overpower — if you turn your backs on our Lord, then you will earn Hell, the place of punishment. This is what the Prophet (peace be upon him), with the Quran, with the truth, was telling people. And the scholars, as his heirs, on the same path, guide people in the light of the same verses.
That he was sent as the glad tidings of His mercy, and at the same time, to those who do not keep Allah Almighty's commands, that His punishment is their due, and of Hell as a warner, with a declaration, to the people He created and addressed, as (?), that he came with the true Quran — by His verse He makes this known to us. Allah Almighty.
As He would send no more prophets, as the Seal of the Prophets, the one who ends prophethood, Muhammad (peace be upon him), together with the Holy Quran, as a mercy to the worlds He sent, addressing all people: O people, beyond any doubt, with every proof and clarity, the prophet who came to you is a true prophet.
By Me, to people, with the true Quran, conveying My command, as the bearer of glad tidings of My mercy he has been sent. What does Allah Almighty say? The bearer of glad tidings of His mercy: My mercy has surpassed My wrath in the universe; in the universe My mercy has surpassed My wrath. So however much anyone does what earns wrath, as long as he lives in this universe — when he turns back and asks his Lord for pardon and forgiveness, he will find Allah Almighty to be Tawwab, ever accepting repentance. Here is another hadith. Even if your sins reached the clouds in the sky, when you repent with a (?) heart, Allah Almighty turns your sins into good deeds.
So, the bearer of glad tidings of His mercy. He both gives all our provision in this world and, in the hereafter, in the eternal abode of bliss, promises us Paradise. That is the bearer of glad tidings of His mercy. Yes.
Whoever believes in the verses of the Quran, submits to his Lord on the path His Beloved showed, keeps His command, and avoids His prohibitions, has attained guidance. O My Beloved! Give him the glad tidings of My Paradise, He says. Give him the glad tidings of My Paradise. What does it say? By Me, to people, with the true Quran, conveying My command, as the bearer of glad tidings of My mercy he has been sent. Whoever believes in the verses of the Quran, does not deliberately deny even one verse of it, submits to his Lord on the path His Beloved showed, keeps His command and avoids His prohibitions, has attained guidance.
Yes.
O My Beloved! Give him the glad tidings of My Paradise, He says. And whoever denies Allah's verses, them, (?), he warns of Hell. Perhaps they will fear His punishment — those who attain guidance.
Those who, despite your conveying it, do not accept the truth and deny it, who, despite so many proofs, out of stubbornness drown the light of faith in the darkness of shirk, who throw everything into (?) — these are the people of Hell. And you are not responsible for them, says Allah Almighty. Yes.
Our child Sultan is asking a question. Before we come to Sultan's question, we say, we say, let's finish this verse question of ours. Let's finish the verse. Then let's move on to the questions. Time is coming up too. Let's answer our questions.
And our time will be up. With the verse in which He says "You are not responsible for them", Muhammad, while fulfilling his duty of conveying, did not make his message heard — because he felt responsible toward people, while carrying out his duty of conveying, in fear of possibly (?), seized by the feeling "did you cause people, even a few, to enter Hell?", because of his fear, Allah Almighty, to the Noble Messenger and Honoured Prophet Muhammad, says: O My Beloved, you are not even responsible for the people of Hell — so He decrees. Because when, earlier, He made a covenant with people one by one, Allah Almighty gave each of them their desires and wishes, their aims, as their destiny.
Since no one can change this destiny, the Prophet (peace be upon him) is not responsible for those who go to Hell. Second, when He says "I hold no one responsible for what I have not made known", here too the Prophet (peace be upon him) — when he could not make it heard, the responsibility is lifted from him. Since Allah Almighty did not make it known to him, since the Prophet could not make it heard to the person before him, He does not hold the Prophet (peace be upon him) responsible. There are subtleties here. In another sense, our Lord, addressing Muhammad (peace be upon him): O My Beloved, in the verse I sent down about you — according to the verse "you do not speak idly" — by My command, I carried out the duty that fell upon me.
I conveyed My command to people. I know that you wish for people to attain guidance. But since each person's destiny is written for him according to his desires and wishes, you also know that you cannot change their destinies. So do not grieve; for those who bought Hell and are the people of Hell you are not responsible, He says. Yes.
