Tafsir
(That was an ummah, it came and passed away); they were living yesterday, but today we are living in their place. Our God is one. There is no other God but Him. By narrating the events of the past nations to us in these events, just like today, Allah (swt) is proving His Zat publicly, zahihiren mezahir. Does He prove to people that there is no other God but Himself, but do people never use their intellect? Does He not say that people do not think that after all these events, Allah cannot be disobeyed?
(What they have earned is theirs and what you have earned is yours.) In a Verse (Fa man ya'mel muskala zerratin fan yerah. And man ya'mel miskala zerratin sharran yerah), a miskal particle of good that you have done will be written down and a miskal particle of evil that you have done will also be written down. It is also stated in another Verse (what you have earned is the recompense of your two hands). According to these Verses, all human beings, every soul, are responsible to Allah (swt) for what they do individually. No one can bear either the reward or the sin of any other person. In this case, Allah (swt) says that what they earn is theirs and what you earn is yours. He says, "You will not be questioned of them, nor will they be questioned of you.
What is said in the video
In verse 134 of Surah Al-Baqarah, Allah Almighty says in the verse: That was a community that came and went. What they earned is theirs, and what you earned is yours. You will not be asked about what they did, He says.
In the verse where He says, that was a community that came and went: Yesterday they too were living. Who? Abraham, Jacob, his sons. Who? Whoever came to the earth: they were a community in the past. It came and went. So, according to the verse, every soul shall taste death. They were communities, people. They came and went.
Well, a good question he asks. Actually, had they listened to me and used their minds a little, this question he would not have asked. A good question. That too is a good question. I will explain it after these lessons. So, since our father Adam, those who came, and the people to whom they made known what worship to Allah Almighty they would perform, communities: what each did was for himself. They came and went, He says. He warns us. How beautifully He says it. What each earns is his own. What they earned is their own. What you earned is your own. They were a community that came and went. You too will come and go.
We too will depart from this world. We too are a community. We will go. Those after us will come too. They too are a community. They too will go. Until the Day of Judgment they will come and go. So what they earned is theirs, and what we earned is ours. What those after us earn is theirs. What does this mean? Because every person is created as the noblest of creation, every person is a commander in his own right; every person, without being subjected by anyone to either pressure or (?), directly with Allah Almighty stands face to face, and that between any person and Allah no one can come, and that with what each did Allah Almighty them will call to account: how beautifully He tells us this.
With what each did, the (?) you did, the good (?), with evil, it will be recorded, as He says; and on that day, without any injustice done to anyone, by that Judge of judges, Allah Almighty, who is eleysallahu bi-ahkemi'l-hâkimîn, everyone's account will be settled, and without any injustice done to anyone, people will be called to account with what each earned and to the places they deserve will be sent. What does He say now? Yesterday they too were living. But today we live in their place. Our God is one. That is, our Allah is one. There is no other god besides Him. Telling us the events of past communities as if today, within these events, Allah Almighty (?).
In the worlds. learning from us speaks; you know, as the polytheists said to the Prophet, Muhammad's Allah speaks, they say; for they were used to worshipping idols. Allah only: how beautifully to them He speaks: do they have a speaking hand, a seeing eye, a holding tongue, or, He says, walking feet? How beautifully He answers them. But to one who understands, a mosquito is a reed flute; to one who does not, drum and zurna are too little. That for people, besides Himself, there is no other god, He proves; and yet do people never use their minds, we ask? Do they never use them? Look, those communities came and went; Allah Almighty, what they did, He informs us.
Among those people were the good and the bad; that the good attained Allah's mercy and that the bad will receive (?), did they never think of it? As a likeness of that time, in our lives in these times, with those who oppose the religion of Islam and those who do not, with those who obey and those who do not, intermingled we live. O you who oppose the religion of Islam and, from the whims of your nafs, never want to understand the truth, wretched people. I say, wherever you see the truth, hold on to it at once. Take it at once. Allah Almighty has an attribute in a (?) child, and in a (?) child.
He has an attribute in every person. Go by those attributes of those people; take them.
Throw away the bad, put the good in your front pocket. When needed, you take it out there. Yes. What they earned is theirs, and what you earned is yours. In a verse: Fe men ya'mel miskâle zerratin hayran yerah. Ve men ya'mel miskâle zerratin şerran yerah. The good you do (?) of an atom's weight is recorded, and likewise the evil you do (?) of an atom's weight is recorded.
We opened this up so nicely in our talk a moment ago; we said what each earns is his own; Allah Almighty created man honorable, and without any pressure on anyone, without anyone being wronged, well, within his own will, what a person does within his own free thought, with the actions he does, he is responsible to Allah Almighty. Yes. So these people, the people of old, lived like this and departed. O you people living in this time, He says, do you never take a lesson from these? Do you never use your minds? The good and the bad together, those communities went. But the good get away safe. And the bad? He too lived and went.
The good one too lived and went. The bad will be called to account with his badness, the good with his goodness. The bad with his badness, the good with his goodness. Yes. That is why one must be wise. The good you do (?) is recorded, and likewise the evil you do (?) is recorded. Again, in a verse: what you earn is the recompense of your two hands, He declares. According to these verses, all people, (?), with what they did, alone with themselves, are responsible to Allah Almighty. I opened this up very nicely a moment ago too. Yes.
So no one can bear anyone else's good deeds or sins. So Allah Almighty: what they earned is theirs, what you earned is yours, He declares. Neither will you be asked about them nor they about you, He declares. No one is asked about anyone else.
Why not? If it were said, you will be asked about so-and-so, then Allah Almighty would have handed His rule over that person to someone else. And by making that person responsible for him, He would keep that person under blame. And that person, not knowing his destiny, toward him, through the actions they did, may overstep the bounds. In that case, Allah Almighty (?). How beautifully He says it. No one is responsible for anyone else. (?) they are responsible to Allah. So if we are responsible to Allah who created us, within our own free will for the actual deeds we have done, we ourselves are responsible to Allah (?).
Any actual deed we have done we can pin neither on Ahmet nor on Mehmet.
