It is Allah to Whom belongs everything in the heavens and the earth. Woe upon the deniers for the severe punishment!
Tafsir
Allah (swt) makes His Essence known through Prophets and Books. He proves His existence by appealing to people's minds in a way that every mind cannot deny. People cannot submit to Allah because of their hatred, pride and arrogance. Woe to them for their rebellion against Allah.
For to Allah belongs the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. Apart from Him there is no door to go to, nor is there a savior. Whoever disobeys Allah and rebels, Allah will remove His mercy from them on the Day of Resurrection. They will have neither an intercessor nor a helper. Their place of return is Hell, which He says: "What an evil place of return" and "What an evil mattress". Woe to them for the severe torment they will see therein.
This is how people will endure the constant torment of Hell in the Hereafter when they cannot bear the slightest pain during their life in this world. People who cannot give up what their nafs likes in the life of this world, people who turn away from Allah for a few hours of worldly pleasure, people who do not even want to hear the name of Allah when He is mentioned, people who are caught up in egoistic depressions, such people cannot escape Allah in this world, nor can they escape Allah in the Hereafter. Your inability to escape from Allah in your life on earth is because of the restlessness in your heart and the fact that every time Allah comes to your mind, you turn more and more to sins, ostensibly to forget Allah. In fact, you are even more bogged down and sinful.
So the life of this world is a booty. This opportunity cannot be missed. Instead of deceiving yourself and becoming a sinner, take the right path that your mind shows you. Turn to Allah. If you say Allah and ask for forgiveness for your sins, you will find life and be saved. Your burden of sins will be converted into rewards. When such blessings are within your reach, is it fitting for a human being to throw them all away, to be fooled by a little pleasure, to be subjected to the eternal misery of the Hereafter, to be cruel to his/her ego?
Man was created as the most honorable creature. He has been made dependent on Allah, the Creator of the universe. So let us be worthy of the purpose for which Allah created us, and we will find salvation. If we do the opposite, if we move away from Allah, then woe to us.
What is said in the video
We have come to the second verse of Surah Ibrahim.
That Allah to whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and on earth. Because of a severe punishment, woe to the disbelievers, it says. Whatever is created, from the atom to the sphere, Allah Almighty created it with the knowledge of creation that belongs to Him alone.
That there is no god but Allah, Allah Almighty has proven by having all His creatures remember Him.
Today if a factory turns out a product, that factory takes out a patent on it. It puts its stamp on it. For example, on a tire it says: Sabancı. That is, this tire is produced by Sabancı. No one else can put that brand on it. If they do, they are punished.
Allah Almighty, too: whatever He created from the atom to the sphere, magnetic or antimagnetic, in the atoms of all matter there are neutrons and protons, positively and negatively charged electrodes. As these electrodes spin around their own axes, they make a sound. Even though we do not hear that sound, Allah Almighty has it recite His own name, which belongs to Him alone. Hodja, is there a verse for this? If there weren't, I wouldn't say it. The heavens and the earth and what is between them have known the remembrance of their Lord, it says. What does it say? The heavens and the earth. What is between the two has known the remembrance of their Lord.
So, as they spin around their own axes, from that magnetic field a frequency arises. A frequency. The all-receiver is Allah Almighty. Those frequencies are programmed to Him. So at any point in the universe, a wish, a desire: Allah Almighty is present and watching there. He created the universe with knowledge. And with knowledge it will end. Superstitions have no place in religion. In the religion of Islam there is no place for superstitions.
Yes.
Oh, it happened like this. Oh, it happened like that. Oh, this came from that. There is no place for such superstitions. Allah created the whole universe in knowledge. Yes. What does it say? That Allah: whatever is in (?), all of it is His. There. Every soul shall taste death. Your return is to Me.
So whatever is in the heavens and on earth belongs to Allah. What did He say? Or do you own, of the world, something as much as a sprout's seed? If it were so, do you own as much as a seed's sprout? If it were so, nothing of your world would be given to you, it says. You would meet your own needs yourselves, and We would give you nothing. (?) since no human can create anything, now some may think like this. Such feelings come to us too. Well, Hodja, Edison invented electricity. Didn't he create it? So-and-so invented this. Didn't he create it? Things like that.
He did not create it. To create means to bring something into being from nothing. Don't misunderstand creation. Finding new branches of knowledge from created things is invention. This is called invention. Those people, from the objects Allah created, from the knowledge He taught our forefather Adam until the Day of Judgment, people, by finding these sciences, new doors of livelihood will open for people, and people, with these sciences, will secure their income and carry on their lives. Yes, and they will see Allah Almighty's sublimity, His greatness they will see. So no human is capable of creating anything; it is only that, with what Allah created and with a reason our Lord gave us, by His creating us capable, we, by the reason Allah has given, in proportion to it, as far as our Lord permits us, find the knowledge of it.
Yes.
So everything from the atom to the sphere, we said, belongs to Allah. Woe to the disbelievers because of a severe punishment: of what Allah created they eat and drink, they benefit, and they turn their backs on Allah. Not even once do they say Allah. Oh, Hodja, don't say that. How should we put it? They also pray, they pray to Allah, don't they?
Allah is not the Allah they know.
Allah is Allah as in Surah Al-Ikhlas.
He is Ahad, He is One. He has neither family nor child. That is, neither wife nor children. If there is an Allah with wife and children, if Jesus or Ezra is the son of Allah, if Mary is Allah's wife, far be it, Allah forbid, if they utter such a slander, there is no such Allah. Allah subsists by His own essence; He has neither child nor family. That is, neither wife nor offspring. So that is the essence of tawhid. La ilahe illallah. Yes. So those who turn their backs on Allah, who eat of the blessings Allah gives and drink, and are ungrateful to Allah, who associate partners with Him, of course, in this world, where they see themselves as if not accountable, a yoke fastened around their neck: if they could feel its severity in their heart, could they act in that world like this, as if footloose, with such arrogance of their nafs?
Yes. May Allah give them, too, an awakening. All of us, Muslim or non-Muslim, are servants of Allah. Because Allah created us.
No one wants that, while someone before your eyes, even your enemy, is burning in fire, you take pleasure. This does not befit a Muslim. A Muslim has faith. A Muslim has a conscience. So we will say: My Allah, those who turn their backs on You, who deny You, who eat and drink and give no thanks, reform them. We will pray for them. Yes.
Allah Almighty makes Himself known anyway through prophets and books.
Addressing people's minds in a way no mind can deny, He proves His existence.
People, out of (?) and pride, because their arrogance cannot stomach it, cannot bow to Allah. For this reason, because of their rebellion against Allah, woe to them. Yes. Because whatever there is in the heavens, on earth and between them belongs to Allah. Apart from Him there is no other door to go to, nor any savior. Whoever opposes Allah and rebels, Allah will remove His mercy from them on the Day of Judgment. These will have neither intercessors nor helpers.
Their place of return, what an evil place of return, and what an evil (?), He says, is Hell. Because of the severe punishment they will see there, woe to them.
So while people, in worldly life, during their lives, cannot bear even the smallest pain, how will they bear the constant punishment of Hell in the Hereafter? People who in worldly life cannot give up what their nafs enjoys, who, carried away by the pleasures of a world of a few hours, turn their faces from Allah, who don't even want to hear His name when Allah is mentioned, who fall into crises of the nafs: such people, in their worldly life, their inability to escape from Allah,
the unrest in their heart, and whenever Allah comes to mind, turning to more sins to forget Allah; in their supposed wish to forget Allah, in truth sinking ever deeper into the swamp, that is how they become sinners. Now, where Allah is mentioned, a person goes into a crisis. Allah Almighty says in His verse: Where Allah is mentioned, they, it says, become like clouds in the sky about to burst, it says, and they leave that place, it says. There is unrest in their hearts. Again in a verse, Allah Almighty says their hearts are scattered and restless. According to these verses, to find peace they turn to drink, to debauchery, to paths Allah does not want.
They sink deeper and deeper into the swamp, and with more unrest, abandoning themselves to a (?), they turn their lives into a dungeon. Priding themselves against one another, they satisfy their (?) at each other's expense. Like what? I am in Germany.
We are going to pull out of the row. At that moment someone pulled out of the row. Another one is pulling out. We're watching, though. Let them go, then we'll go too. Both stopped. Neither gives way to the other. Impossible. Someone has to give way. Both came out together. They've blocked the road. One has to give way; that is, if he went back in, into the spot he came out of, the other would pull out and go. Impossible. One wants the other to give way to him, and the other wants him to give way to him. They will satisfy their nafs at each other's expense. Look how he will pride himself. He gave way to me.
So, to dispel the unrest in their hearts, they satisfy their feelings of the nafs on each other like this. Allah Almighty describes them so well in His verse. They are very harsh among themselves, it says.
How beautifully the verses say it. Yes.
So worldly life is a precious gain.
That is, in this worldly life, this life of ours is a precious gain. Even if this world were full of gold and jewels, and another such world full of jewels and gold,
it would not equal my faith. Or a Muslim's faith; not mine, but a Muslim's faith it would not equal. The reason: the world, it says, will put on its finest (?), and in the Hereafter will say: Grant me to one (?).
Allah Almighty to the world; these are words spoken in a figurative sense. To the world: those you call small did not look at you while in the world, He says; now should I give you to them? Like an old rag, it says, He will roll it up and throw it into Hell. Yes, so the world, within my lifetime, is a precious gain; my life is a gain, my life; the world is a gain for me because I live on it; within the world my life is a gain for me. The world is not a gain for me; because I live in the world, because I live my life, my life is a gain for me. What gain is it? If I say Allah once, it is enough for me.
Allah. If I say Eşhedü en lâ ilâhe illallah ve eşhedü enne Muhammeden abdühû ve resûlühû, it is enough for me. The world on one side, this word on the other.
Yes. The meaning of the verse I read a moment ago touches on this too.
Even if all people were on one side, it says, and you on one side, say: Allah, Owner of the heavens and the earth and the great Throne, suffices me, it says. When they see the punishment in the Hereafter,
not a world's worth, it says, even two worlds' worth they would want to give to Allah as ransom to be saved, it says.
So the riches of the world will not save us. Only my saying Allah will save me. Tawhid will save. The Kalima-i Shahada will save. Being ruled by Allah's Sharia rulings will save me.
So, is doing these hard for us? Allah Almighty doesn't say to me: Work and give to Me. In return for offering you all My blessings, in return for the beauty, health and well-being I gave you, say Allah, He says. Don't fall short toward Me in your five daily prayers, He says. Remember Me. Give zakat from the money you earn, to cleanse yourself of the haram, He says.
Yes. Do these things hurt us?
So because Allah loves His servants very much, He creates means for them. These means are so that He may judge His servants in the Hereafter with the ninety-nine percent of mercy He has kept for Himself. Yes.
So worldly life is a precious gain. This opportunity doesn't come again. Once life is over, there is no return. Rather than deceiving yourself into sin, follow what your reason shows you: take the right path. Turn to Allah; if you say Allah and ask forgiveness for your sins, you find life, you are saved. And your loads of sin are turned into good deeds. With such blessings at hand, for you to kick them away, deceived by a little pleasure, to remain (?) to the eternal suffering of the Hereafter, to be cruel to your own nafs: does this fit a human's creation as a human, I have said.
Man was created as the most honored creature. He has been made the addressee of Allah, who created the universe.
So let us be worthy of the purpose for which Allah created us, so that we find salvation. If we do the opposite and distance ourselves from Allah, then woe to us. Yes.
