Their Prophets said to them; “(It is true that) we are nothing but humans like you. But Allah grants Allah’s blessings to those who wish from Allah. It is not possible for us to bring to you proofs without the permission of Allah.” The mu’min only should depend and trust on Allah.
Tafsir
When the pagans, who had deep misgivings about Allah, said to their Prophet that you are a human being like us, he said to them: "Yes, we are human beings like you. For Allah bestows His wisdom on His servants to those who wish. The souls of the Prophets are the first created souls. Allah (swt) has willed that His Essence should be known. The first one He created was the soul of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), Habib-i Kibriya Hatemen Nabi. From this He created the souls of other Prophets. In this respect, since these Prophets were the first people created, when Allah (swt) said, "Do you accept that I will send you as messengers to your people?" they said yes. Allah (swt) said, "I am one of the witnesses with you. Since the souls of their people were created from the souls of these Prophets, the Prophets are the fathers of their people. They assumed their duties by their will.
Addressing their people, they said, "We are people like you. But we are not able to bring you any proof unless Allah wills it. Miracles are superhuman events created by Allah (swt) at the will of the Prophets. So those who are believers, those who believe in Allah and His Prophets. Trust and rely on Allah alone. They have neither a god nor a helper besides Him.
What is said in the video
To the 11th verse we have come. Surah Ibrahim, verse 11. A wrongly explained verse, we said. A wrongly explained verse. Let me read you its wrong version.
Surah Ibrahim.
Their prophets said to them: yes, we are nothing but human beings like you. But Allah bestows His blessing on whom He wills of His servants, it says — right here.
They make Allah Almighty discriminate among His servants. Now, it would work if he explained this part like this.
Because Allah created His prophets first, my Lord gave the grace He wished to the prophets He created first. That works. This is how it would be. Because the prophets say: we are the first of Islam, they say. The reason: before the worlds were created, Allah Almighty created the light of the Prophet. He kept it in worship for seventy-eight thousand years. In the question and answer to His light, the light sweated. From that essence, He gave the essence to four. From one quarter He creates the earth, from one quarter the heavens, from one quarter what is between the heavens and the earth, and from one quarter water.
Then He gives the Prophet's light its spirit. He gives from His spirit. So take the Prophet's spirit as a part, take it as a part from Allah, a spirit; from this He takes one — who, let's say? Adam, the first created. He takes one: Ahmet. He takes another: Mehmet. He takes another: Hasan. He takes another: Moses. He takes another: Jesus. For example, He declares that He sent 124 thousand prophets. This is a narration, of course. However many they are, however many the prophets, since they were all the first taken from the Prophet's spirit, the prophets say: I am the first of Islam. If you asked a normal mind, the normal mind would say: well, dear, this one says I'm the first of Islam, and this one also says I'm the first.
You came first, fine, and you came later. So how are you first? — it would ask this, I mean. Wouldn't it ask? It would. So how are these firsts? First: the spirits of the prophets, first taken from the Prophet's spirit. Before people's spirits were even created. Now I'll tell a verse. I will send you, He says, as prophets to the people. Do you accept, He says. This is a verse now. And they say: yes, we accept. I too am among the witnesses with you, He says. Allah Almighty bears witness for the prophets. And the prophets in this case are sinless, and they are the first of Islam. And when He creates the spirits of their peoples from their spirits — when He said, I will send you as prophets to your peoples — from their spirits He creates spirits.
In this case, while the prophets are the first of Islam, what does it say here — but Allah bestows His blessing on whom He wills of His servants — when it says that: servants, all servants, in that sense — when it says "whom He wills", He discriminates among His servants. But if you call this part, in parentheses, Allah's word, human words you cannot (?). It needs explaining. If it said here: because Allah Almighty first created the prophets, because He would send the prophets as prophets to His servants, because He created them first, that is, created them as prophets, and because they would go to His servants as prophets and carry out their prophethood, their duty, because they — the prophets, His prophets — accepted that they would go to their, um, peoples as prophets, Allah Almighty bore witness for them too, and because they were created first, they became recipients of Allah Almighty's grace — if it said it a bit openly like this, it would be nicer; then this part would be right.
But this way, this part is wrong. And what do we do? We correct the verse.
But Allah bestows His blessing on whoever wills among His servants. Whoever wills. Now, when we say "whoever wills" here, we take it (?). If the prophets too had said "we don't accept", perhaps Allah Almighty would have eliminated them there. It was again left to their wish. They said yes too. We will convey Your command to our people, we will convey it, they said. And Allah Almighty: I too am among the witnesses with you, He says. He bears witness for the prophets. Now what does it say? Their prophets said to them: yes, we are nothing but human beings like you. But Allah bestows His blessing on whoever wills among His servants.
Without Allah's permission, it is not possible for us to bring you a proof. Just as I said a moment ago. Without Allah's permission, no prophet can create anything by himself. Creating belongs to Allah alone. Yes, the verse says it. What does it say? Without Allah's permission, it is not possible for us to bring you a proof. Let the believers rely only on Allah, it says.
Yes, Surah Ibrahim, Quran translation. The idolatrous people who, concerning Allah, had deep doubts — when they told their prophets "you too are a human like us", their prophets told them: yes, we too are human beings like you. For Allah Almighty: whatever you are, We send you, from your own kind, prophets. So, although Allah Almighty sends prophets from their own kind, people still resist. You too are a human like me. I'm following, um, in the footsteps of my forefathers. Although he says "do you want to keep me from my forefathers' footsteps?", he can't use his mind and say: yes, these are telling the truth.
Whereas Allah Almighty says in the Quran: do you never use your minds? Do you never reflect, He says. Then, rather than my forefather's footsteps, I need reflection on the Quranic verses. What if my father is dragging me into wrong? Like Abraham — when they tormented him, what does he do? He leaves there, walks away from his father.
So, He says, if they urge you to evil, He says, then don't follow them; part from them kindly, contentedly, He says. Contentedly. Yes.
The idolaters who had deep doubts about Allah, when they told their prophets "you too are a human like us", their prophets told them: yes, we too are human beings like you. Because Allah bestows His wisdom on whoever of His servants wills. Whoever wills. The prophets' spirits are the first created spirits. Allah Almighty willed that His essence be known. The first He created is the Beloved of the Almighty, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) — his spirit. From this He created the spirits of the other prophets. For this reason, since these prophets are the first created humans, when Allah Almighty said: I will send you to your peoples as messengers, do you accept?
— they said yes. And Allah Almighty said: I too am among the witnesses with you. Since the spirits of the peoples were created from these prophets' spirits, the prophets are like the fathers of the peoples. They took on the duties by their own wish. Here, "among those who" — let's say we put the letter (?) there. Yes.
Addressing their peoples: we too are humans like you. But as long as Allah does not will it, to bring you a proof we are not able. Miracles are, through the prophets' wishing, created by Allah Almighty — (?) events. So let those who are believers, who believe in Allah and His prophets, rely and trust only in Allah. They have no other god or helper besides Him. Yes. Tomorrow, on the Day of Judgment, in the Great Court, you will be called to account for everything you did in the world. "Ve men ya'mel miskâle zerratin hayran yerah" — an atom's weight of your good I will record, He says. "Ve men ya'mel miskâle zerratin şerran yerah" — an atom's weight of your evil too I will record, He says. So don't do anything you will regret.
Think it through. Then the work you held within Allah's will, even if by your reasoning it turned out the opposite of Allah's, you still earn a reward. Because your intention is to fulfill Allah's will. Do every work relying on Allah's will. Okay, my child? Yes.
Yes.
