Ibrahim 21: (On the Day of Judgment) they will all come to the presence of Allah and the weak will say to those who were showing arrogance; “We were your followers. Now, can you divert us from any of Allah’s punishment?” And they will say; “If we had attained Allah’s guidance, we would have guided you to the right path. Now, whether we lament or show patience, it is the same. (This is) because for us, there is no place to seek refuge.”

Translation

(On the Day of Judgment) they will all come to the presence of Allah and the weak will say to those who were showing arrogance; “We were your followers. Now, can you divert us from any of Allah’s punishment?” And they will say; “If we had attained Allah’s guidance, we would have guided you to the right path. Now, whether we lament or show patience, it is the same. (This is) because for us, there is no place to seek refuge.”

Tafsir

Surely the Day of Resurrection will come one day. The created heavens and the earth and all that is between them will enter into each other, and finally the worlds and human beings will be created in a new creation. Then all the creatures will be gathered in the Judgment and will be reckoned before Allah (swt). That Day of Reckoning is true.

When the Court of Judgment was established, we the weak were your subordinates before Allah, the Judge of Judges. Can you now ward off anything from the punishment of Allah? The weak here means those who govern a town, those who see themselves in glory and fame, those who disbelieve in Allah, those who oppress and intimidate the people under their command, those who are arrogant towards them, those who see such people as great over them, and those who willingly follow such people, these are the weak.

When they see the punishment in the Hereafter, they will seek refuge in their weakness. They will address those whom they consider to be powerful, and they will seek refuge and help from those whom they follow, saying, 'Can you remove the punishment of Allah from us?

Those who were arrogant in the life of this world, seeing themselves in pride and glory, will say: "Why, if only we had been guided by the guidance of Allah, we would have guided you. Now it is the same whether we complain or be patient. For there is no refuge for us. However, Allah sent them Prophets and Books in the life of this world. He also made them understand the existence of Allah through scholars. These are the people who are transgressors, who believe that there will be no resurrection after death, who deny Allah who created them, even though they know that Allah exists, by generalizing Allah according to their intellect. They are the ones who worship the gods that they have made up in their minds and associate partners with Allah. People who think that they are irresponsible and live by their own souls, of course, it is one and the same for them whether they complain or be patient. For Allah has removed His mercy from them. They have no helper or intercessor. They will be alone in the Hereafter. They are people who have been condemned to a great torment, the torment of an eternal life from which there is no return.

Since Allah (swt) loves people very much, He tells them about the events that will happen to them so that they will be saved from the torments they will suffer in the Hereafter.

Every soul will be held accountable for what it has done. Allah publicly announces His existence and appeals to people's minds. However, people do not follow their intellect but the desires that their ego gives them. They immediately fall prey to the deception of Satan. Those who leave Allah and follow Shaytan, those who are cruel and oppressive, those who follow Taghut, those who follow the way of Shaytan, the nafs and Taghut, are the people who will enter Hell in the Hereafter.

What is said in the video

Surah Ibrahim, verse 21: On the Day of Judgment they will all appear before Allah. We just explained it. See how nicely the verses confirm one another. On the Day of Judgment they will all appear before Allah, and the weak will say to those who acted arrogant: We were your followers. Now can you avert anything of Allah's punishment from us? And they will say: What can we do? Had we attained Allah's guidance, we too would have led you to the right path. How well they realize their guilt. Whether we lament now or are patient, it is the same. Because there is no place of refuge for us. There is. Here it says so, but there is.

So are you going against Allah's verse? No. Now I will support Allah's verse. Hell is their place of refuge. That is, here there is no place to take refuge in His mercy. But they will take refuge under His wrath. Hell. Yes. Because there is no place of refuge for us. Because they went as unbelievers. There is no place of refuge in mercy. Where then? Hell. They will take refuge there. Surely the Hour will come one day. What did we just say? The verses will all match what we said. One day the Last Day of this universe will come. These created heavens and earth and what is between them will collapse into one another, and finally, with a new creation, the worlds and humans will be created.

That is the second creation.

Then all created beings, gathered at the place of assembly, before Allah Almighty will be called to account. That Day of Reckoning is true.

So in the verse we just discussed, what we explained in detail was this, then. The verses.

When the Supreme Court is set up, in the presence of Allah, the Judge of judges, the weak: We were your followers. Now can you avert anything of Allah's punishment from us? What is meant by the weak here: those who govern a town, who see themselves in glory and fame, who deny Allah, who the people in their retinue, working under their command, pressure and frighten, who act arrogantly toward them; such people they see as great over them, and follow these people out of their own desires — these are meant as the weak ones. Those who, in their retinue, pressure and frighten the people working under their command, we said.

Those who act arrogantly toward them. Seeing such people as great over them, seeing such people as great over them, and following these people out of their own desires, these are meant as the weak ones. When these people see the punishment in the hereafter, from their torment they will look for someone to take refuge in. Addressing those they see as strong, saying: Will you be able to keep Allah's punishment away from us, they will take refuge in those they followed and hope for help from them. While in the life of the world — let's open this up a bit. Look, when these people see the punishment in the hereafter, from their torment they will look for someone to take refuge in.

Instead of looking for someone to shelter them from their torment — If only they had known Me, He says — according to that verse, if he said: O my Lord, while in the world I was truly in ignorance, I denied You. But today I have understood that You are the truth, I affirmed with my tongue and confirmed with my heart — is Allah unjust, that He would not forgive this? He suffers as much punishment as he must; He forbids the fire to him too and finally admits him into His Paradise. But as for such people — If only they had known Me here — although He says that, even after entering Hell, still waiting for the Lord of their own imagination, and toward Allah who created them, with feelings of grudge and hatred, with feelings of taking revenge on Allah — these, then, remain here forever.

These are the ones who look here for people other than Allah to take refuge in. Yes.

Let's read this sentence, the paragraph. When these people see the punishment in the hereafter, from their torment they will look for someone to take refuge in. Addressing those they consider strong, saying: Will you be able to keep Allah's punishment away from us, they will take refuge in those they followed and get help from them. Those who, in the life of the world, saw themselves in pride and fame and grew arrogant will say: What can we do? Could we have attained Allah's guidance, we too would have led you to the right path. Whether we lament now or free, free, free we may be, it is the same, they say.

Whether we lament or are patient, it is the same. Yes. My throat is tickling. Let's drink this nice and hot.

May Allah be pleased with you. Thank you.

Those who, in the life of the world, saw themselves in pride and fame and grew arrogant will say: What can we do? Had we attained Allah's guidance, we too would have led you to the right path. Whether we lament now or are patient, it is the same. Because there is no place of refuge for us. Yet Allah Almighty sent them prophets and books in the life of the world. Moreover, He had scholars explain Allah's existence to them. Well, Hodja, no other prophet came, so what am I to do? See how nice. There are verses, and nice ones. Allah raises scholars and sends them. Well, Hodja, which of them should we believe?

We watch on television: one says one thing, another says something else, one says it that way, one says it this way. Which one should we believe? By using your reason you can find the one who speaks the truth. You will use your reason. Because reason knows what is right. Yes.

Because there is no place of refuge for us. Yet in the life of the world Allah Almighty sent them prophets and books. Moreover, He had scholars explain Allah's existence to them. Since these are people who transgress the limits, they are the ones who believe there is no resurrection after death, who, although they know Allah exists, define Allah according to their own minds and deny Allah who created them. They are those who worship gods they define by their own minds, ascribing partners to Allah. People who think they are not accountable and live as their nafs wants. Of course, now whether they lament or are patient, it is the same for them.

Because Allah has lifted His mercy from them. They have neither a helper nor an intercessor. They are now alone in the hereafter. They are people condemned to a great punishment, with no return, left to the punishment of an eternal life. May Allah protect us from such an end.

Allah Almighty loves people very much, so His telling people the events that will befall them is so that from the punishments they will meet in the hereafter people may be saved. Every soul will be called to account for what it did. Allah openly makes His existence known to people and addresses their reason. But people follow not their reason, but the desire their nafs gives them. And they are immediately taken in by Satan's deception. Those who leave Allah and run after Satan, following his track, the unjust and oppressive, those who follow taghut, those who go the way of Satan, the nafs and taghut, are the people who will enter Hell when they pass to the hereafter.
