Tafsir
Those who believe in Allah and the Hereafter and do good deeds, following the guidance of Allah, Allah has promised Paradise. That paradise where rivers flow from its ground. In those heavens, people will have all their needs met and will be provided with endless blessings for an immortal life.
When these people meet each other in these heavens, they greet each other. Because there is no idle talk in Paradise. When people greet each other in this world, they say selamun aleykum. That is, may Allah's mercy be upon you and may Allah's peace be upon you. The other person says, "Wa alaikum salaam", and they pray for each other, saying, "May Allah's peace and blessings be upon us all". But in Paradise they only say salam. So you are safe today. You are safe with Allah's mercy. If they had said salaam alaikum in Paradise, they would have spoken in vain. Because it is meaningless for him to say salaam alaikum there after he has attained the salvation of his Lord. In other words, it is futile for a person to pray that Allah's peace be upon you. Because the person has attained the reward for the prayer.
If we give an example of this, a person has returned from a journey and has come home. People who come to see this are like praying that Allah will bring you back to your home. The person has already returned to his home, that is, his home. But when the people who come to see this say, "You are safe, you are safe," it means that the person is protected and safe in his home by his elders. If we liken a person's home to heaven. It is the security and salvation of people in a land of eternal bliss under the protection of Allah.
What is said in the video
Surah Ibrahim, verse 23: Those who believe and do good deeds Pay close attention to the words. Those who believe and do good deeds. Here it does not say: those who do good deeds. If it said those who do good deeds, the good deeds of non-Muslims would also be taken into account. Whereas all the fine deeds they did have gone to waste, it says. Can you pay attention to the word? How beautiful the words are.
Those who believe and do good deeds, by their Lord's permission, into gardens where they will abide forever and beneath which rivers flow, will be admitted.
There, whenever they meet one another, what they say is only: Selam. Selam. Why? Not Selamün aleyküm, but only Selam. Saying Selamün aleyküm means: May Allah's mercy be upon you. Is that right?
Where will this mercy be? In the worldly realm, Selamün aleyküm — when you meet one another, give an even better greeting, it says. For example, when I say to you Selamün aleyküm, you can say ve aleyküm selam ve rahmetullahi. When I say to you Selamün aleyküm ve rahmetullahi, you can say to me Selamün aleyküm ve rahmetullahi ve berekatühü. Greet in an even better way like this, it says. And spread the greeting of peace on earth, it says. Now in that case. Selam. Selamün aleyküm. We say: May Allah's mercy be upon you. In Paradise there is only a Selam. There is no idle word there. When we say Selamün aleyküm in Paradise, it means: May Allah's mercy be upon you, whereas he has already attained mercy.
Since he has attained mercy and entered Paradise, and since there will be no empty word there, instead of Selamün aleyküm there is only a Selam. That is, here today you are safe and sound, it says. You are in safety, it says. You are in safety. Yes.
The believer — those who believe and do good deeds, by their Lord's permission, into gardens where they will abide forever and beneath which rivers flow will be admitted. There, whenever they meet one another, what they say is only Selam.
To those who believe in Allah and the hereafter and, walking the path Allah showed, do good deeds, Allah Almighty has promised His Paradise.
That Paradise beneath which rivers flow; in those gardens every need of people will be met, and for an immortal life, with endless, inexhaustible blessings they will be provided.
Death is upon bodies. There is no death upon souls. Allah Almighty has given man a part of His own. With that part — Allah Almighty is the whole spirit. By giving man a partial spirit from His essence, He made man immortal too.
People who cannot grasp these words of mine say of us in this case: this man is a follower of vahdet-i vücut, they say. What does vahdet-i vücut mean?
Those who do not know that body and soul are separate entities, who cannot distinguish them, who cannot grasp that there are two deaths upon bodies, since they put people into Paradise and Hell with bodies, say: this man, because he calls it immortal, produces vahdet-i vücut. They speak of this regarding bodies. Whereas man, as he appears, outwardly, as manifestations, clothed in flesh and bone, has appeared as a human named Ahmet, Mehmet. But in him there is an unseen entity, and that is his soul. This soul was given to man as a part of our Lord, and man was created as the noblest of creatures.
He was made honored above the worlds. And by virtue of this being a part from our Lord, people were honored. And, as Süleyman Çelebi said, that Allah Almighty, as a mirror to His essence, as a mirror, created the Prophet. In this case, those who relate vahdet-i vücut to the body, who unite soul and body and put them into Paradise and Hell, bring vahdet-i vücut forth. And in that case one proves that he is immortal. Whereas there are two deaths upon bodies. Our first death is upon the body in the worldly realm. Our second death, when we are raised in the hereafter, when he is raised as a body — when you come before Me with a driver, it says, that is, soul and body, when the souls are paired, when soul and body come face to face, We will, it says, silence your mouth, bind your feet, and make your hands speak, it says.
(?) the soul says to the body: Why are you speaking against me? And the body says: My Lord, who makes me speak, is making me speak; and when the testimony ends: You are returned to the One who first created, it says; to the One who first created, you are returned. (?) dies, the body dies there a second time. That is: We make you die twice, it says. People who know nothing of these verses proclaim vahdet-i vücut. We are not followers of vahdet-i vücut. We are people trying to guide people with the essence of the verses. Yes. In this case, in this case, by Allah's grace and generosity, people of faith who did good deeds in the worldly realm, because they carried out their Lord's commands, in the hereafter, at the Supreme Court, before our Lord who is Eleysallahu bi-ahkemi'l-hâkimîn, the good deeds he has done are brought forward, and if his good deeds outweigh his sins, our Lord's command — according to the verse: Who is truer to his word than Allah? — he attains His Paradise.
Yes. Hodja, Hodja, what if his sins are more, and he went to the hereafter with faith, what will happen? Then Allah Almighty will apply His attribute of justice. If he deserves punishment, he will enter Hell for his punishment, but the fire will not see his face. Without burning in the fire, in the section of the punished, however much of the punishment our Lord has given he has deserved, after staying in Hell that long, that person's faith will be perfected. Faith will be perfected. Because he had a symbol of the word of tawhid in him, its light. (?) it will be perfected in Hell. Indeed, in Hell the non-Muslim will ask the Muslim who is being punished: Weren't you a Muslim? Didn't you say there is no god but Allah? Why did you come in here? When he asks this, he will answer like this.
While I was in the world, I perhaps did worse deeds than you. In return for these bad deeds, this punishment is even heavy for me. When he says: My Lord judges with justice, Allah Almighty says: O My servant, your faith has been perfected, come out of there. He takes him out of there. And the other grows in disbelief the more he sees the punishment. As his disbelief grows, he remains there forever. So, Paradise and Hell are eternal. If our Lord — the First and the Last, the Manifest and the Hidden — subsists by His essence, if the whole spirit is our Lord, and if from His part He has given us a little, then we too subsist through our Lord.
In the hereafter, in the delights of an endless realm, if we go as Muslims, we will have saved our life. Yes.
