Translation

The example of a bad word is a tree whose trunk has been separated from the earth and thus, which cannot stay upright.

Tafsir

The bad word here refers to people who turn their backs on disbelief, rebellion against Allah and the truths and realities that are not associated with Islam. They are like a tree whose roots have been uprooted from the ground and cannot stand. Even though this tree has fruits on it, before these fruits ripen, the fruits become useless along with its trunk when the tree falls.

In this example, the good deeds of people who have not embraced Islam and faith and have turned their faces away from Allah are likened to the fruit of a tree. Even if the tree bears fruit, all their good deeds have been in vain because of their lack of the light of faith and their rebellion against Allah. On the Day of Judgment, Allah (swt) informs people by giving examples that these good deeds will not benefit them, that they will go to Hell, that they will have no branches to hold on to, that they will have no intercessor or savior, and that their good deeds will be in vain. He is trying to help them find the Truth. But if rebellion against God is at the root, one will turn away from these examples without valuing them.

What is said in the video

A bad word, its example: its trunk torn from the ground, and so with no means of standing, it is like a bad tree. We see some trees. By the waterside.

In marshy ground. You look and find it has toppled over by itself. Because its root is not fixed in firm ground. In that case the tree topples. What happens when it topples? Neither its branch nor its leaf finds life. So in the hereafter, these people, with the good words and good deeds they did in the world, are likened to that trunk, to that trunk. But because the root is (?), because they lived outside the religion of Islam as non-Muslims, in the hereafter they are, with neither branch nor leaf, like a dried-up tree. Our Lord: there they have neither an intercessor nor a helper; according to the verse saying this, that trunk there vanishes. That is, the rewards are gone.

He says, We will not set up a scale for them, doesn't He? Why is a scale set up? On one side (?), on the other side material. Well, if Allah Almighty has made their rewards void, if all the fine deeds they did have gone to waste, if there is no weight on one side, what will you measure it with on the other side? So no scale is set up. Why? Because their account came to nothing, their rewards came to nothing. So when their (?) likewise comes to nothing, those dried branches neither find life nor die. They remain there as eternal hellfire.

Yes. May Allah protect all of us from such an end. Here too, the bad word refers to kufr, to rebellion against Allah, and people not honoured with Islam, who on truth and realities turn their backs; these are meant. Their roots are torn from the ground; they are like a tree that cannot find a way to stand. However much fruit this tree may have, these fruits, before ripening, with the tree's collapse, together with its own trunk, become useless.

In this example, of people not honoured with Islam and faith, who turned their faces from Allah, the fine deeds they did in the world are likened to fruit. Even if this tree bears fruit, because the person is deprived of the light of faith, and through rebellion against Allah, all the fine deeds he did have gone to waste. That on the Day of Judgment these good deeds do not benefit them, that they are people of Hell, that they have no branch left to hold on to, that they have neither an intercessor nor a rescuer, that their good deeds too have gone to waste, all this Allah Almighty, giving examples, tells people, so that they take lessons from these examples.

is trying to find the truth, to be of help. But if at root there is rebellion against Allah, a person, without valuing these examples either, will turn his back and go away.
