Translation

With a beautiful word, Allah keeps those who believe steady in the worldly life and in the hereafter. But the oppressors go astray from Allah. Allah fulfills what Allah desires.

Tafsir

In this verse, a firm promise (kalu bela) means those who make a good covenant with Allah (swt) and make Allah (swt) dictate their destiny well. Allah (swt) will keep them intact both in this world and in the Hereafter. The meaning here is that such people rely on Allah (swt) and trust in Him, and Allah (swt) is their guardian. Allah protects those who believe and trust in Him. (Hasbina Allah wal wal wal wal wal wal wal wal wal wal wal wal wal wal wal wal) He is the best support, the best wal wal wal wal wal wal wal, the best guardian. This is how Allah keeps people safe in this world and the Hereafter. Allah is with those who believe in Him and have faith.

The wrongdoers deviate from Allah and His guidance. For their covenant was also made in rebellion against Allah, and although they know Allah, they are in doubt about Allah who created them. Because they believe in the God of their own imagination, they commit treachery by abandoning the God who created man very close to Him. Thus those who disbelieve in Allah are cruel and tyrannical towards their own souls.

A smell that no matter how much you hide it, the smell will definitely reveal itself. Because it is a smell, it will smell. People who make a good covenant with Allah will also keep good deeds, and their odor will smell good. They will conquer people's hearts by helping them, treating them with kindness and getting along well with them. These are beautiful people who smell good.

Those who make a covenant in rebellion against Allah will, on the contrary, spread their stench in such a way that people will be offended. They will also oppress, wrong, usurp and oppress people. These are the evil people who give off bad odors, the people who are cruel and tyrannical both to their own souls and to the people around them.

It is such cruel and tyrannical people who deviate from the path of Allah. They try to block the paths of Allah's guidance. They pursue sedition and mischief on earth. They are deceived by the transitory worldly world and exchange the eternal abode of bliss for the life of this world. In the end, they end up bankrupt and frustrated.

Allah fulfills whatever He wills. His will here means that He fulfills His command. Allah's command is that people should be ruled by the religion of Islam and that those who do good deeds will be rewarded with Paradise, and those who do not believe in Allah and the Hereafter, apart from Allah's command, will be threatened with Hell. It means that there is a Hereafter after death and every soul will be held to account. Allah judges between people with justice. He informs people that He will reward them for what they have earned and that His promise is true.

What is said in the video

Twenty-four, twenty-seven.

What does it say? In the twenty-seventh verse we have corrected what was rendered wrongly; the wrongly rendered part is what we read. Those who believe in Allah with a good word He keeps firmly steadfast both in the life of this world and in the hereafter. As for the wrongdoers, Allah leads them astray. Allah does what He wills.

Allah leads the wrongdoers astray. when it says that.

Now, pay attention here. You give the verdict. The verdict. Let the listeners give it.

Allah Almighty's universe: in this universe, is His mercy for everyone? For everyone? A verse. In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, He says. Without making any distinction among the people He sent to earth, without ruling over their wills, Allah Almighty, who treats all people equally with His mercy, has also distributed the earth equally with His justice. This too is a verse. Yes. In that case, if His mercy in the universe is for everyone, if He leads astray the person who does wrong, then it is impossible for him ever to be set right again. Is that so? So, if Allah led a person astray, removing his will from over him, that is, removing the person's will from over him, then isn't Allah Almighty using His own will over that person? And doesn't that person gain the right to say these words: You led me astray on earth.

Perhaps I would have turned back later. If he said that, what would He say? (?) So Allah leads no one astray. Through the words people give with their own will, they themselves go astray in the middle of the straight path. They themselves. Yes. In that case, Allah does what He wills, it says. There is Allah's willing too. And there is people's wishing from Allah too. Yes. Here, when it says Allah does what He wills, does it or does it not mean that those wrongdoers on earth can never again find life? He led the wrongdoers astray. Well, now I ask you. Among those people they led astray, are there some who find the truth or not?

Are there some who become Muslim or not? Here, does Allah Almighty disparage His own word or not? How can you attribute such a thing to Allah? You have reason, use your reason.

Yes.

What will you expect from people who build scholarship on this? You'll expect them to be teachers. A person who has built scholarship on this. And the person who defends this is not aware of what he is defending. He is not aware that he has turned his back on Allah. He is not aware that he is rebelling against Allah.

Yes. What have we said? Those who believe in Allah with a good word He keeps firmly steadfast both in the life of this world and in the hereafter, but the wrongdoers stray from Allah. The wrongdoers stray from Allah. Allah does what He wills. Okay. Who strays? The wrongdoers. In fact, to say here: the ones who continue in that state, the wrongdoers, stray from Allah, is more correct. In brackets: who continue in that state, the wrongdoers.

They ask the Prophet (peace be upon him): Whom do they call a wrongdoer?

The Prophet (peace be upon him) says: a father who makes distinctions between his children is also a wrongdoer.

So look at the beauty of the religion of Islam. If a father who discriminates between his children is a wrongdoer, if one of the children is good and the other rebels against the father, and this father still discriminates between the children, and this is wrongdoing, how do you ascribe to Allah Almighty this wrongdoer, this wrongdoing? You exclude those who rebel with the attribute of wrongdoer, and you say: I led them astray.

I wonder, am I the one explaining it wrongly?

Yes.

In this verse, the meaning of the firm word, that is: those who believe in Allah with a good word He keeps firmly steadfast both in the life of this world and in the hereafter. But the wrongdoers stray from Allah.

So Allah leads no one astray.

On the Day of Judgment, Allah Almighty will say to the prophets, to Jesus: was it you who said "I am the son of Allah"? Never, he says. You are witness that I said no such thing. I only invited people to You. But if they went astray after me, they are Your servants, he says. See how beautiful. They are Your servants. He does not even curse them.

These are Your servants.

So if Allah Almighty is to use the attribute of justice among His servants, then, people's covenant given to Allah Almighty in the address Elestü bi-Rabbiküm, their covenant, the destiny corresponding to their covenant, and in line with that destiny, the script written for them on earth which they play as actors, the actual deeds they did, the cause and the sin they incur; e leysallâhu bi-ahkemi'l-hâkimîn, the Judge of judges, in that Supreme Court, said: what you earned today is the counterpart of your own inner selves. So that no one is wronged, of what you have done, of what you have earned, the full counterpart will be given; the verses saying this: according to these verses, He will treat people with justice.

With justice. Yes.

So you cannot say here: Allah led this one astray, He led the wrongdoer astray.

In this verse, the firm word means those who, at Qalu Bala, gave Allah Almighty a good covenant and so had their destiny written well by Allah. These Allah Almighty keeps firmly steadfast both in this world and in the hereafter. Because with the light of faith their feet stand firmly on the ground. That is, He likens them to the state of a tree whose root is firm. In that case, like the tree with a firm root, with the branches and twigs around it, all one piece, the strength of a person who is one body is greater against the others. Yes. That is why, do not separate from Islam. Islam is brotherhood, brotherhood.

Do not divide among brothers and diminish your strength, says Allah Almighty.

In that case, in that case, as one who says I am a Muslim, I say this because I am compelled. I am compelled. My heart is burning, that's why I say it. Not Islam's, but the people of Islam, these brothers in Islam, by exploiting their consciences, people who sow division within Islam, people who split people in two; in this case, our unity and togetherness, what became of it? One body, one pillar, one fist, what became of it? If we weaken, we become the enemy's clown; under his charlatan boots we suffer oppression, oppression. If today all is a bed of roses, if today, without (?) to anyone, we stand upright on our own feet, from the brink of a great disaster the time of our escape is what we are living. We are living a time of light.

As a state we were finished, finished, with its mafias, its usurers, its Ergenekons, its Balyoz plotters, its 28 February, which one will you tell? Facing a state like a spider web, Allah took pity on this helpless orphan, and a person of firm will who would stand up against it and stay standing He brought forth. Those who hurled insults at our headscarved daughters, those not admitted to school with a headscarf,

those who talk of freedom yet know nothing of freedom and create division in religion, who bear grudges, who create rifts, who divide the nation, who know nothing of the D in democracy yet put forward their personal thoughts, their ideologies and rule by them, who go to bed in the evening and change the laws by morning.

If today we live in a bright Turkey, use your heads. Unity and togetherness is the symbol of our time.

I'll tell you a verse. If from this verse too we are not ashamed, not ashamed, you can do as you wish. No one forces anyone. Everyone is free in their religion too. Free in their own free thought too. This is the religion of Islam. It puts pressure on no one. As you are, He says, so are the rulers you choose over you. Those who go after ideologies, who recognize no right and law, who launder black money, who do business with the interest lobbies, who drag the state to the abyss, who, dependent on foreign states, as (?) made us live, who, at 80 to 90 percent a year, caused (?), who took the money from the IMF and where it went is unknown, who bankrupted the state's banks; is it with these that we will be together?

As you are, so are the rulers you choose over you, He says. So according to this verse, do we turn our backs on Allah Almighty or not? I leave the answer to you. If you say, ah Hodja, that's your own opinion, praise be to Allah, my opinion is the opinion that corresponds to the verses. If you say the opposite: religion is reason and transmission; your understanding goes that far. Then you are free; you can give it to whomever you want. Yes.

Our business is not politics, but in fact Quran verses are the essence of politics. But you understand. Quran verses are a radar. The radar lets you watch. Quran verses: if you have the light of faith, you see the one before you with the light of Allah. Yes.

If we are Muslims, if in this state we are to live Islam, if we are to root the beautiful justice of Islam, if we are to put freedom, democracy, human life into practice, our unity and togetherness we must preserve. In Islam there is no oppression. In Islam there is no grudge. In Islam there is no prejudice. In Islam there is justice, justice.

Yes. So we will use our reason.

In that case, if I follow my (?), so that I can raise a youth that way. By satisfying carnal feelings, abolishing morality and (?), by satisfying people's nafs, they raised a generation that could resemble them. Now, when one stands up against them, when there's an attempt to cultivate a family life, an Islamic life, an Islamic family culture, they stand in the way. In that case, if we are human: even among animals there are those that until they die live with a single mate. Even animals protect their mate and family, their own tribe. If we as humans, with our emotions, our prejudices, our carnal behaviour, become Satan's amusement, take Satan as our guide, if we befriend Satan, of whom our Lord told us he is your enemy, then today we fall into the state of a laughing stock of non-Muslims, which is where we were heading.

Since Allah will complete the light of His religion until the Day of Judgment, over us He brought a ruler. He brought a good person.

The symbol of our unity and togetherness, the symbol of Islam, we will emphasize. We will live freely in our country. We will not be second-class citizens. We had fallen into that state. If you were uncovered, exposed, if you (?) yourself and stripped stark naked, wherever you wanted, however you wanted, you got your business done.

If you were outside the four schools of law, you got your business done wherever you wanted. If you were someone else's man, you got your business done wherever you wanted. (?) We are one with our people. We are together. Islam commands this. Islam commands justice. Allah Almighty commands us to spread a festive air on earth. Whoever one may be, leküm dînüküm veliye dîn, to you your religion, to me mine. But if in this state, this piece of land, kneaded with our ancestors' blood, that they kneaded, this piece of land was entrusted to us as a homeland, as a legacy, then we are obliged to protect it.

Yes.

In this verse, the firm word means those who at Qalu Bala gave Allah Almighty a good covenant and had Allah write their destiny well. These Allah Almighty keeps both in this world and in the hereafter firmly steadfast. Keeping firm here means: since such people rely on and trust Allah, their guardian is Allah Almighty. Their guardian. Hasbünallâhu ve ni'me'l-vekîl, ni'me'l-mevlâ ve ni'me'n-nasîr. What an excellent support, what an excellent friend, what an excellent (?), it says. Yes.

Here, as you know, since they rely on Allah and trust Him, their guardian is Allah Almighty. Allah protects those who believe and have faith in Him. Hasbünallâh. What an excellent support, what an excellent Master, and what an excellent Trustee. That is, He is the guardian. Just give your heart to Allah and rely on Him. Don't be two-faced, like so. Yes.

So Allah keeps such people firmly steadfast in this world and in the hereafter. That is, He protects; Allah is with those who believe and have faith in Him.

Now, when Allah Almighty was going to send a calamity to a town, the people who were servants to Allah and the community of His prophet He brought out of that town. As He brought out Lot, as He brought out Salih, as He saved Noah, He saves these.

People who are bound to Allah with their hearts. But Hodja, today many people who say Allah are in a wretched state.

Believe me, I say this sincerely: Islam, a Muslim prays too, but when it comes to carnal feelings, simply, like a snake, like an adder, he rises up. Together with carnal feelings.

And Allah Almighty sends them calamities.

Allah sends calamity to the unbeliever; and if a Muslim acts in a way that would outdo the unbeliever, won't He send calamity?

To him too He gives it like this, from within. He makes him strike himself. But Hodja, in Israel many people are killing those Palestinians, for example. Well, is this too, I mean, to these people, like these people, bad people? Allah Almighty says this:

When you cause ruin, We first take the martyrs from among you, He says. The martyrs. They too are people who became martyrs to leave behind a homeland, who reached Allah's mercy; how many more there are we don't know, but in the end he will take the blow. The non-Muslim will take the blow in the end. Even if right now he seems to be dealing the blow, in the end he will take the blow. Because who is truer to his word than Allah? At the third, He says; at the third. Two have passed. They will be searched out even between their houses, He says. In (?) sense, if an Israeli hides behind a bush, it will say: behind me there is an Israeli.

Knowing this verse, they build shelters underground like moles. Not like moles. Like the one Dhul-Qarnayn built. Even if you make rocks of bronze, you will still be wiped out. Yes.

As for the wrongdoers, they stray from Allah and from the path of Allah's guidance. See: from the path of Allah's guidance. Allah does not lead astray. They stray themselves. Because their covenants too were given as rebels against Allah, and although they know Allah, they are in doubt about Allah, who created them. Because they believe in an Allah they picture in their own imagination, they abandon Allah, who created man very close to Himself, and commit betrayal. Those who deny Allah like this are wrongdoers and tyrants against their own selves.

If Ahmet and Mehmet wrong me, what does it matter? What does it matter? In the end, they kill me.

But if I wrong myself, if I turn my back on Allah, if I live in pleasure and revelry in this world, then in the hereafter, when I am left with no one and alone, I am exposed to the anguish of an eternal, endless realm. Now, is the anguish you suffer in this world greater, or is it harder, against an eternal, endless life in the hereafter, to force your nafs to live by carnal feelings in this world and go into Allah's presence with no one and alone? More tyrannical. Yes. One needs to distinguish these points.

What do we say? As for the wrongdoers, they stray from Allah and from the path of Allah's guidance. Because their covenants too were given as rebels against Allah, and although they know Allah, they are in doubt about Allah, who created them. Because they believe in an Allah they picture in their own imagination, man close to Himself, very close, who created man very close to Himself; abandoning that Allah, they committed betrayal. We, He says, had We willed, would have come down from the sky with angels, that is, from the clouds with angels come down and made you prostrate, He says. What does this mean? We left you free with your own will.

According to your desires and wishes, We wrote your intent for you as destiny. It is that simple. So these people, regarding the essence of Allah Almighty, Allah who created them in human form, created them as humans; since they saw Allah too in human form, could not believe that Allah is Allah. They awaited the Lord in their own imagination. And Allah Almighty says in His verse: they will not be able to see their Lord. But of people unaware of these verses, some say: this indicates that Allah Almighty, in Paradise, according to this verse, will be seen. Others say they will be gathered blind and sightless.

Whereas, regarding Allah Almighty, see what people say. Yes.

Surah As-Sajdah, verse twelve. (?) Well, let's look here. Surah As-Sajdah. Let's read that part.

See what it says now: in Surah As-Sajdah, who is saying this to Allah Almighty? The unbelievers. Where? The Hour has come. We have been gathered. We have come into the presence of Allah Almighty. That Day of Reckoning. What do they say? Those sinners, before their Lord, with their heads bowed: Our Lord, we have seen, we have heard; seen, heard; now send us back to the world so we may do good deeds; now we believe with certainty. If only you could see the time when they will say this, He says.

So is Allah a wrongdoer, that He does not send them back again?

They are lying. How do you know, Hodja? Because they had their desires and wishes written as their destiny. And Allah Almighty placed these characters in them. According to their desires and wishes. Were We to send you to the world not once but several more times, you would commit the same deeds again. Like what? I sat here at eight o'clock, I am explaining the verses to you. It's recording me. What we are saying is being recorded. If I show this video, in which what we say is recorded, thousands of times, you'll see the same. You'll see the same. In the same way, in our lives, according to programmed characters, according to our desires and wishes, our scripts have been written.

That the scripts have been written is symbolized by this verse:

There is not a single living being to come until the Day of Judgment whose doings We do not know. So in that case, by its saying there is not a single living being to come until the Day of Judgment whose doings We do not know, everyone's doings, second by second, minute by minute, hour by hour, are set. In that case, people,

in proportion to the covenants they gave Allah Almighty, Allah Almighty too, according to their intent, their desires and wishes, wrote their destinies, placed their characters; our Lord, who knows what every single living being to come until the Day of Judgment will do. Yes. In that case, if he gave Allah a bad covenant, a bad covenant, now what do we say? As for the wrongdoers, they stray from Allah and from the path of Allah's guidance. Because that is how he gave his covenant. He did not acknowledge Allah. Today, in films, perhaps you watch them. Non-Muslims say: is there Allah? They say so, but I don't really believe it, one says.

The other says: but, he says, in some situations, he says, I do believe, he says, I mean, there is, he says, I mean there is something, he says. Then the other one says: if, he says, there is, then what I say, (?) needs to bring me, he says. I want this, he says; He doesn't give it, he says. Would one who is called a creator do this, he says? Whereas he is unaware of the covenant he himself gave Allah Almighty. Today in Turkey a drought season is going on. It's going on, I mean. I am 76 years old. I have never seen February pass like this. I haven't seen it. Even though our state, on these, with a water campaign, you know, says don't worry, we have water, compared to the rain Allah sends down, the measure the state has taken falls short.

That can at best perhaps secure our water. But if our Lord wills, He dries up those streams too.

Even the wheat sown in Thrace did not come up.

They are sowing wheat there again. In Silivri, in Silivri. They are sowing wheat again; it didn't come up. Now, are we going to blame Allah?

Here our Lord makes us live through a fine event. What does He say? O My servants, My servants who have believed, if you continue on this path, I will squeeze you, mind you. Pay attention. A warning to us, a warning. Look around today: no Allah. No Messenger, no Book, people naked in the streets. Everyone is set on a worldly air, going to swallow the world, take it; always such a craving. Of the heart one has given to the world, if one gave, let me say, a quarter to Allah, just a quarter, Allah would keep us alive.

He would keep us alive (?). So if our foot still trips on a stone, why don't we look for it in ourselves? Why don't we look for this mistake in ourselves, asking why did my foot trip on a stone, what did I do? Yes. Now, if you look at the weather forecast, the eastern parts, those parts of Anatolia, have snow, have rain, have frost too; I mean it is living, living its life. Why? Because they live Islam. They live Islam. Islam, the people of Anatolia. They live Islam. These parts here, these parts live in two ways. Yes.

How beautiful it is in the verse. We will blame ourselves, not Allah. Look what our Lord says in His verse. We give those unbelievers two or three calamities a year, He says. As they help one another, He says. If only they had turned to Allah, He says. Well, He says it once more. If only they had turned to Allah. Yes.

As for the wrongdoers, they stray from Allah and from the path of Allah's guidance. Because their covenants too were given as rebels against Allah, and although they know Allah, they are in doubt about Allah, who created them. Because they believe in an Allah they picture in their own imagination, abandoning Allah, who created man very close to Himself, they commit betrayal. Those who deny Allah like this are wrongdoers and tyrants against their own selves.

We too are such wrongdoers and tyrants against our own selves. We don't say why there is a drought. We say it, but we don't say why the state takes measures against it. But we never think about what we ourselves are doing.

You will look for the fault in yourself first. In yourself.

A smell such that however much you hide it, the smell will surely reveal itself. Because it is a smell; it will smell. People who gave Allah a good covenant will also do good deeds, so their smell will be pleasant. By helping people, honouring them and getting along well with them, they will win people's hearts. These are people with a good smell, good people. As for those who gave their covenant as rebels against Allah, the opposite: their smell they will spread around in a way that disturbs people. They will commit oppression, injustice, extortion and cruelty against people. These are bad-smelling, bad people.

People who are wrongdoers and tyrants both against their own selves and against those around them. Such wrongdoing and tyrannical people stray from Allah's path. They try to close the paths of Allah's guidance.

Don't they?

They run after strife and corruption on earth. Devoting themselves to the transient world, they exchange the abode of eternal bliss for worldly life. In the end they suffer great bankruptcy and loss.

Allah does what He wills. His willing here means: He carries out His command. And Allah's command is, for those who are bound by the religion of Islam and do good deeds, Paradise, and, those outside Allah's command who believe in neither Allah nor the hereafter, His warning them with Hell. It means that there surely is a hereafter after death and that every soul will be called to account; that is its meaning. Allah judges among people with justice. That He will give everyone their reward in return for what they earned, that His promise is true, He makes known to people.
