Ibrahim 37: “Oh our Dear Lord! I have placed some of my offspring to the side of your Holy House to a valley in which there is no cultivation, so that they would establish the prayer. Now, make the hearts of some people inclined to them and give them provisions from fruits so that may be grateful.”

Translation

“Oh our Dear Lord! I have placed some of my offspring to the side of your Holy House to a valley in which there is no cultivation, so that they would establish the prayer. Now, make the hearts of some people inclined to them and give them provisions from fruits so that may be grateful.”

Tafsir

Hazrat Ibrahim aleyhisselâm continued to pray to Allah (swt) and he prayed with such sincerity and submission to Allah (swt) that he said in his prayer: O our Lord! That is, our Allah who created us out of nothing; O our Owner! There is no creator except You. O my Allah, Whom I take as my guardian, as You are the owner of Your creatures. I have left some of my descendants in an uncultivated place near your Bay'at, the Haram, so that they may worship you and keep up the prayer. Protect them and make the hearts of some of the people inclined towards them, so that they may serve your religion and make you known to the people.

Give them sustenance from their fruits. Provide them with sustenance from your side. It is hoped that they will be grateful for these blessings. They do not fail to serve You and invite others to serve You.

What is said in the video

It is said of a person who is (?). Yes. To Surah Ibrahim, verse 37, we have come.

Abraham (peace and blessings be upon him), what does he say? May Allah's merciful peace be upon him. O our Lord! O our Owner! So that they establish the prayer properly, I have settled some of my offspring by Your Sacred House, the Kaaba, in a valley where no farming is done. No farming is done there either. So You make the hearts of some of the people incline toward them, and provide them with fruits. It is hoped that they will be grateful for these blessings. Here we use 'it is hoped that'.

You need to know where to use 'it is hoped that'. You cannot say 'it is hoped that' about Allah. But for Abraham, or for a prophet, (?), as long as our Lord has not made it known, you can use the words 'it is hoped that'. Yes.

Could you take this from here? Put it there.

Give this to, um, to Bülent. Yes.

Abraham (peace be upon him), to Allah Almighty, continues praying, continues his prayer. And he makes his prayer so sincerely, with such submission to Allah, that in his prayer: O our Lord, O our Lord, that is, O Allah who brought us into being from nothing, O our Owner, there is no creator but You. Just as You are the Owner of what You created, You whose Self I have taken as my guardian, Allah, whose Self I have taken as guardian — we too say so, don't we: Hasbünallahu ve ni'me'l-vekîl ni'me'l-mevlâ ve ni'me'n-nasîr — how beautiful it is, friend, how beautiful the statement, how beautiful a guardian He is, he says.

So that they worship You and establish the prayer properly, some of his offspring, by Your House, the Noble Haram, in a place suitable for farming I left. I left them in a place unsuitable for farming. Protect them, and make the hearts of some of the people incline toward them. Along with them, may these people serve Your religion and make You known to people. Yes. Abraham (peace be upon him) knows very well that, among Allah Almighty's creatures in the world, people who will obey their Lord will be found. Now, these people who will teach the religion, and their hearts toward the people who will teach the religion — the people who will soften them, toward these make them incline, he says. While they teach these people the religion, You provide for them by the hands of those people, O Allah, he says.

Yes.

And he beautifully binds people to each other.

Provide them from its fruits. From (?), provide for them. It is hoped that they will be grateful for these blessings. That they will not fall short in servitude to You and will invite people to servitude to You as well. Yes.
