Do not think that Allah is unaware of what the oppressors are doing. Allah is only postponing them (their punishment) to a day in which their eyes will freeze out of fear.
Tafsir
Allah is not unaware of what the wrongdoers do. Allah is not unaware of what any creature does. Here, a question comes to our minds; Why would He destroy the people who would make havoc on the earth and rebel against Him? Since Allah is God, omnipotent, why should He not send them to the realm of property?
In reply, we say as we have explained in previous issues. Allah has made a covenant with every soul in the spirit world (We have made a covenant with those who will come from the descendants of the Children of Adam so that they will not say, "We did not know about this").
Allah, who made a covenant with each soul in (kalu bela), dictated their destiny in proportion to the covenants people made with Allah. Our souls, who saw Allah (swt) in the Hereafter (kalu bela), doubted in believing in Allah. Some of them believed and obeyed, some of them doubted and rebelled and did not recognize our Lord. In this case, Allah sent people to the realm of property where His Essence is veiled and made them witnesses.
In order to make them witness their feelings towards Allah (swt) in this unseen world, He has created substances for them in the worldly realm, and people receive rewards and sins with the interest they show towards these substances in order to make a living and satisfy their desires. They have made themselves witnesses against Allah (swt).
Therefore, people who are good or bad, i.e., the shaki or the muttaqi, (the obedient and the rebellious), will come to the realm of property and go away bearing witness to Allah and the world around them. This is because Allah is free from imperfect attributes. In that case, no one will be able to question Allah (swt). The people who make these bad covenants cannot harm Allah with their bad deeds, nor can they change the program of Allah, who has programmed this world, by a hair's breadth. Therefore, all created souls will come to the realm of property and will bear witness against themselves, their surroundings and Allah. They will return to their eternal abode, the Hereafter, to heaven and hell.
Allah has given them respite in this life. However, Allah has postponed their punishment until a day when their eyes will pop out of their sockets out of fear. In other words, they have been given respite until the day of reckoning in the Hereafter, when they will be reckoned, when they will see that their place is Hell and the torment therein, and their heads will spin and their eyes will pop out of their sockets out of fear.
What is said in the video
We are giving the meaning of verse 42 of Surah Ibrahim. Do not think that Allah is unaware of what the wrongdoers do, it says.
Because in the Arabic wording there is no exact (?) equivalent, because there is no exact equivalent in Turkish, in this way Allah Almighty makes a declaration. Do not think that Allah is unaware of what the wrongdoers do. I mean, unaware of what the wrongdoers do, or, well, aware — is He unaware of those who do good? Allah Almighty has programmed this universe until the Day of Judgement. There is not a single living being to come until the Day of Judgement whose deeds We do not know, He says. In that case Allah Almighty is aware of all the particles He has created until the Day of Judgement and knows what they will do.
In that case some people say, Muslims for instance, most of them — we hear this too — so much Muslim blood is being shed, well, doesn't Allah do anything to them? So many prayers are made, and so on, they say. Some even waver, I mean in their faith; what is this? Whereas the origin of this, the origin of this goes back to the address Elest-i bi Rabbiküm. In verse 172 of Surah Al-A'raf Allah Almighty says: We made a covenant with those who would emerge from the offspring of mankind, the children of Adam, and said: We are your Lord, He says. During this covenant of ours, what we gave to Allah Almighty — our wish in our covenant, let's say — our wish was written for us as destiny.
He sent us to (?), that is, to the material world. Here, in the actual deeds people will do, Allah Almighty does not use His own will by taking away the person's own will; in no person does He use this will. Did you think you would die without proving what kind of person you are? According to this verse, everyone, in that address Elest-i bi Rabbiküm, whatever desire and wish he had, whatever he wished, had it written for himself as destiny; he will come into the world and live this destiny. Within this destiny. In that case, for instance, people say: judgement belongs to Allah alone. They have mutilated this verse.
They said: judgement belongs to Allah alone. The translation of the verse is as follows. On that day judgement belongs to Allah alone. Now, when it says here judgement is Allah's alone — if, in the decisions these people make and the actual deeds they do, judgement had been Allah's, what would Allah want from people? He would have made them do all of it. Whereas: fe men ya'mel miskâle zerretin hayran yerah. I will write down the good of an atom's weight, He says. Fe men ya'mel miskâle zerretin şerran yerah. I will also write down the evil of an atom's weight, He says. In that case, if judgement had been Allah's alone, where would my judgement have gone?
People, mutilating the verses with falsehoods too, in that verse saying on that day judgement is Allah's alone, say judgement is Allah's alone, and then they blame Allah. All matters they (?) onto Allah. In that case a person slips out of it. Well, You made me do it. The judgement is Yours. I am a servant of Yours. I have no power against You. The judgement is Yours. You made me do it, and I did it. So no one can blame Allah Almighty. He cannot even conceive of it. So if judgement is Allah's alone — if on that day judgement is Allah's alone — this verse supports it. What does it say? On that day, it says, Allah Almighty has neither a partner nor a helper.
Judgement on that day belongs to Allah alone. So when people on earth also say: doesn't Allah see them? So much Muslim blood is flowing — in the service of the covenants they gave Allah Almighty everyone will live his own destiny.
Just as the one who works and the one who doesn't are not the same, within a person's own will, besides being a servant to Allah alone, besides worshipping Allah, Allah Almighty has also placed worldly duties on that person. You will work, build up, eat, drink, multiply; you will try to raise the generation after you obedient to Allah until a certain time. Those children are entrusted to us. We will raise them, and behind that we will also do our worship. If you abandon worldly affairs for worship alone, the other man (?) your head like this. He will crush you like an ant too. Yes. They have lulled us to sleep. Over time, for centuries.
Can one ride something with ground passing beneath it and ground passing above it, they said. Yet he rides a horse. Ground passes beneath it, and ground passes above it too. He has no idea of this. Yes.
In the world they have advanced with technology. They said: you stop. We'll make it and give it to you, what need is there, they said. They lulled us to sleep this way, and at the same time, in the history of the Republic as well — you know it better — they closed the aircraft factories. The aircraft factories they closed in 1941. They closed them. The aircraft factories — and we were building planes. Well, we'll give them to you, what need is there, they said. Well, in that case, the Freemasons or the non-Muslims, let's say — there was collaboration with people put at our head under their command.
That is how we came to this state. And still, still the same collaborators carry on. Collaborators. In this situation they have bent the laws of the state in favour of their own interests. In favour of their own interests. They have not made a single law for the benefit of this homeland and nation. When needed, wherever they want, they will seize the nation and this indivisibility of the homeland, the nation's unity and togetherness. They will take the nation's will away from it. Like in Egypt, or as there has been a coup every ten years since 1960, every ten years, they will come to power by force.
Yes. Those times are past now, but since the laws still operate as the laws of that time, to clear the way for this state they are trying to advance an ant's length at a time. Our lesson is not politics, but look what Allah tells us here. Yes. I am returning to our lesson. Do not think that Allah is unaware of what the wrongdoers do. Why? Allah Almighty does not interfere. Let me explain a bit more fully, of course. So that, with our own will, in proportion to the covenant we gave Allah Almighty, we prove what kind of people we are, Allah Almighty, of these people He sent to the material world, interferes with none.
At the end — look, at the end what does it say? But Allah postpones punishing them, punishing them, to a day on which eyes will bulge out from fear, it says. Where is this? We come to life twice and die twice. The verse is like that. We bring you to life twice and cause you to die twice, it says. Our first coming to life is in the body, here. Our first death is in the body, again in the material world. Our second coming to life is in the hereafter. The earth will be another earth, it says. When the heavens too are other heavens. When the earth is brought out completely flat, and people sprout again from that earth like plants, and finally, without veering from Israfil, it says, everyone will gather at the place of assembly.
On that Day of Reckoning, within that judgement of which it says on that day judgement is Allah's alone, when what people did in the world comes to their minds, and when Allah Almighty makes them eternal people of hell — at a time when their eyes, it says, like sky-blue, bulge outward, they will throw themselves face down on the ground, it says. And We will call the Zabaniya. We will have them thrown in through the (?) gate of hell, it says. We postpone them to that day, it says. So everyone — that covenant of his, from the address in which he made a covenant with Allah Almighty, his covenant, the script of his covenant — he will play in the world as an actor.
He will prove himself, and after proving what kind of person he is, when he passes on to the hereafter, before the owner of the worlds, the absolute owner of these worlds, Allah Almighty, he will give account. So, We postpone their, their punishments to that day, it says. We postpone them. Yes.
Allah Almighty is not unaware of what the wrongdoers do. We said Allah is not unaware of what any of His beings does. Here a question like this comes to our mind. Those who will drown the earth in corruption, who will rebel against Him — let Him destroy them. Since He is Allah and has power over everything, let Him not send them to the material world. Right? Does it come up? It does. In reply — we explained it in earlier topics too — we say: Allah Almighty made a covenant with every single soul in the world of souls. We made a covenant with those to come from the loins of the children of Adam, so that they would not say: we knew nothing of this. What does it say?
Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Ve iz ehaze rabbüke min benî Âdeme min zuhûrihim zürriyyetehüm ve eşhedehüm alâ enfüsihim, elestü bi-rabbiküm. We made a covenant with those who would emerge from the offspring of the children of Adam, it says.
People who are unaware, who say (?) — what do they say in the Holy Quran? When interpreting this passage: whether it was after their loins — that is, in the mother's womb — or before, it is not clear, they say. Then what does it say? Am I not your Lord? Am I not your Lord? Of course, if he doesn't know, he will say it like that. If he doesn't know the meaning of the verse, when it says Am I not your Lord, it is natural that he doesn't know either. Now when it says Am I not your Lord, the person, from his creation onward, will see his own creation millimetre by millimetre — this is the important point anyway.
He will see his creation, and after seeing his creation he will turn to denial. To denial. Then, at that point, no one would have any right left to speak against Allah Almighty. Our business would have been finished there before coming into the world. Our business would have been finished. He would not have sent us to the world. Because we knew, we saw, and after that we denied Him out of stubbornness. But it is not so. Allah Almighty created our souls in the world of lahut.
Ve kuntum ezvâcen selâseh. All (?), three classes coming from one another, it says. Fe ashâbü'l-meymeneti mâ ashâbü'l-meymeneh. O (?), good tidings to you. Ve ashâbü'l-meş'emeti mâ ashâbü'l-meş'emeh. O (?), woe to you, it says. Ve's-sâbikûne's-sâbikûn, ülâike'l-mukarrabûn, fî cennâti'n-naîm. A third group: the group of the foremost. The group of saints, prophets, martyrs, the martyrs. Now Allah Almighty created our souls; when He suddenly gave them life, the person sees as he himself is. The soul: He gave man a part from our Lord.
There is no soul in any being other than man. But if we come to people, they put a soul into (?), they call (?) a soul. (?) They put a soul into cats and dogs, they speak of a soul in everything. Whereas the soul, the universal soul, is Allah Almighty. What does it say? Those who ask you about the souls — Say: it is a command of my Lord. a command. So if Allah Almighty has given people from His soul, He has created man honoured above the worlds. What does it say? We created you honoured above the worlds, it says. What does this mean? Because He gave man a part of His essence, He created him in resemblance.
Süleyman Çelebi also says it so beautifully. I made My essence a mirror to his essence, he says. That is, I created him to see My essence in his essence, he says. In that case, with souls existing only in man, and with his being created honoured above the worlds, Allah Almighty suddenly gave life to those souls and, before them, said: I am your Lord — with a definite command, for elest is a definite command — when He said elestü bi Rabbiküm, your Lord, there people say: yes, we were created. That yes, in the sense of a Lord created me — look, that yes; but because he sees the one before him as like himself, he says: You cannot be my Lord; he is waiting for the Lord of his imagination. So Allah Almighty answers them in the verse like this: if We had wished, it says, We would have (?) angels from the sky and made you prostrate, it says.
So without forcing anyone, without pressuring them, leaving them free within their own will, He willed that people, with their own will, should know their Lord or not. So when a person denies his Lord with his own will, that denial was written for him as destiny. In that case, in that case, Allah Almighty — although He knows who belongs to paradise and who to hell, why then did He send them to the world? So that that person would not say: My Allah, why are You throwing me into hell? Or, of course, since he doesn't know Him as Allah: why are you throwing me into hell? You are like me, I am like you.
If You had sent me to the world, or sent me to (?) Africa, if You had made Your essence known to me there — look how I would have worshipped You there — so that you may not say that, We created these worlds, it says. Yes. On my phone too, it says it so nicely there now. It says it very nicely on the phone. The battery has run low too. This was left on anyway. They left it on. Yes.
In verse 47 of Surah Al-Qasas it says: because of what they themselves did — that is, because of people's own desires and wishes — when a misfortune befalls them, they would say: Our Lord, if only You had sent us a prophet, so we would have followed Your verses and been among the believers — if not for that, it says, We would not have sent you, it says. We would not have sent the prophet either. Now in verse 134 of Surah Ta-Ha: if We had, before this, before the Quran, destroyed them with a punishment, it says. So what is the Quran? It is the word of Allah Almighty, isn't it, the verse? Before the Quran, that is, before the Quran came to this world — where is that?
It is the address Elest-i bi Rabbiküm. Before the Quran. Before Allah's verses came to the material world, in that Elest-i bi Rabbiküm address. What does it say now? If We had destroyed them with a punishment before this, before the Quran — that is, had We destroyed them there — they would surely have said this: My Lord, if only You had sent us a messenger, then we would not have suffered this baseness and disgrace. Yes.
We would have followed Your verses before falling, they will say, it says. So in this case, since Allah Almighty is free from deficient attributes — let's close it, it's finished. Since He is free from deficient attributes, the person — no one will be able to question Him. Because Allah has the attribute of being Allah. What is Allah's attribute of being Allah? No one will be able to question Him. Why? Out of fear? No. Well, why won't he be able to ask? All the questions he would ask will have become manifest in that person, and the person will be cut off from questioning. That is Allah's attribute of being Allah.
No one will be able to (?) Him questions. In that case the person, the person, for what he did, as the return of his own two hands, will see his punishment. That's what the verse says anyway. Today, it says, without anyone being tormented, without any injustice, to everyone what he earned will be given as the return of his own two hands, it says. Yes. Yes.
So, through the covenants people gave Allah, they had their own destinies written. Yes.
In the hereafter, at kalu bela, our souls that saw Allah Almighty fell into doubt in believing in Allah. Some believed and obeyed. Some, being in doubt, rebelled and did not recognize our Lord. So Allah, by sending people to the material world where His essence is veiled, has made people witnesses over themselves. So did you think you would die without proving what kind of person you are? Yes. So that their feelings toward Allah Almighty in that unseen world would make them witnesses over themselves, He created material things for them in the world. People, to make their living and to satisfy their (?), with the interest they show toward these things earn reward and sin.
They will have made themselves witnesses before Allah Almighty. Allah Almighty gives us a body. Eating and drinking (?). In the material world, to feed this body of ours or to sustain our life, we will buy and sell. We will be in dialogue with one another. As a result of this dialogue we are in, or the trading we have done — whether we look after our own interests or not, well, whether we respect the rights and laws of others or not, whether on earth we spread right and justice or not, whether toward the verses of Allah Almighty we show interest or not, whether we obey or not — with our feelings we earn reward and sin.
Not the feelings we have had, but with our actual deeds. We earn reward and sin. What a beautiful order Allah Almighty has set up. So every person proves what kind of person he is through the actual deeds he has done. Yes. For this reason, people good or bad, that is, the wretched or the God-fearing, the obedient and the rebellious, will come to the material world, and having made themselves witnesses before Allah and those around them, they will depart. Because Allah is free from deficient attributes. In that case no one will be able to question or interrogate Allah Almighty.
These people who gave a bad covenant, with the bad deeds they do, can neither harm Allah nor change by a hair's breadth the programs of Allah, who programmed this realm. For this reason all created souls will come to the material world and will be witnesses over themselves, before those around them and before Allah. To the hereafter, the eternal home — to paradise and hell — in the end they will return. So Allah has granted them respite within these lives of theirs, in the material world. However, Allah has postponed their punishments to a day when eyes will bulge out from fear. What does Allah Almighty say in the verse? Every soul will taste death, and your return to Me awaits.
Yes. That is, when they are called to account in the hereafter and see that their place is hell and see the torment there, their heads will spin from fear, their eyes will bulge out of their sockets — until that day, until this Day of Reckoning, respite has been given to them. Yes.
