Tafsir
O people! Beware of Allah and do not think that Allah will break His promises to His Messengers. Whatever Allah has willed, whatever He has promised to mankind, surely Allah will fulfill His promise, and no creature can be as faithful to its promise as Allah is. (For Allah is the Almighty) He is all-powerful. His creatures are under His sovereignty. There is no god but Him. He is the Owner of all creation. In this respect, Allah, the Judge of Judges, will surely repay everyone for what they have earned in justice, without making the slightest distinction between His creatures.
So let no one think that he will get away with what he has done. Whoever goes beyond Allah's justice and oppresses human beings or the souls and lives of Allah's creatures, whoever goes beyond the limits of injustice, whoever disobeys Allah's justice and creates mischief in the earth, they will not get away with it. Allah will give to everyone what is due to everyone.
What is said in the video
Of Surah Ibrahim, to verse 47 we have come. So never think that Allah will break the promise He gave His prophets. What does Allah Almighty say in His verse? who is as faithful to His word as Allah? Just so, the prophets, from the soul of the Prophet, as many prophets as would come, He created first, and to them: I will send you as messengers to your peoples. I will send you as elders, as fathers. And when He asked, do you accept this messengership, they say, yes, we accept. Allah Almighty says, I too am among the witnesses with you. In that case, how beautifully the verse reminds us. How beautifully the verses always confirm one another.
So never think that Allah will break the promise He gave His prophets, He says. If He too bore witness together with the prophets, and they accepted the messengership and Allah confirmed it together with them, then since Allah will never go back on the word He gave, the Prophet (peace be upon him) in his hadith says this: Adorn yourselves with the morals of Allah. How beautiful. Because it is a life-giving character, a life-giving speech and a life-giving word. Life-giving characters. And a life-giving peace. Peace. If you can adorn yourself with the morals of Allah. Upon this, what does Abu Bakr say?
O Messenger of Allah, how many of Allah Almighty's morals might I have, he asked. The Prophet (peace be upon him) says: in you either 6 or 7 are missing, he says. Yes.
Because Allah is absolutely supreme, He says. We continue with the verse. Let's take the verse from the beginning. So never think that Allah will break the promise He gave His prophet. Because Allah is absolutely supreme. He lets no one get away with what they did. Not a single one does He let get away with what they did. In this world and the next, He surely leaves them subject to calamities. To one who understands, a mosquito is music; to one who doesn't, drum and zurna are too little, he says. Yes. So if you don't understand here, in the hereafter too, when you are called to account, don't look for anyone to testify about you.
Your body will testify about you. When you come into My presence with a driver, He says. Your body, just as it is, in the presence of Allah Almighty, will tell whatever you did, millimeter by millimeter. When, with our souls, we say to our bodies, why do you speak about me, Allah, who makes me speak, makes me speak, it says. And finally, after the testimony ends, there for a second time our bodies die. We bring you to life twice and cause you to die twice. The verse comes true. Now, every time I explain this part, a pain falls upon my heart. Why? Do you know why this pain? People who say they are hodjas take people into Paradise with the body, don't they, people who say they are hodjas, and at the gate of Paradise they make a pool and have people washed there; misunderstanding the verse 'you have come spotless', they have us washed there together with these bodies of ours; that people who don't understand the verses act as hodjas, this truly sears my heart.
I cannot bear it. Every time it comes to this point, they are compelled to say it. Yes. As Yunus Emre said, even if I keep silent, they make me speak by force, he says. Yes.
So never think that Allah will break the promise He gave His prophets. Because Allah is absolutely supreme. Of course absolutely supreme, absolute ruler, absolutely victorious. Why? Because He brings into being from nothing; besides Him there is no created being that will bring into being from nothing. In that case, whatever has been created, from atom to globe, if Allah created it, if Allah did not create His creatures so as to rebel against Him, if He created them all, even their atoms, obedient to His Being, if He created them so as to make them remember His Being, the heavens and the earth and what is between the two have known the remembrance of their Lord, according to the verse.
If all His creatures, His creations, have been (?) to His Being, then surely the absolute ruler, absolute power and absolute Creator and absolute ruler, besides whom there is no other god, is our Lord, who subsists by Himself. Yes. In this case, since Allah Almighty is Eleysallâhu bi ahkemi'l-hâkimîn, since He is the Judge of judges, without allowing an atom's weight of deficiency, deficiency in His judgeship, He lets no one get away with what they did. Because He is the Judge of judges. Yes.
If He is the Judge, and the judges deal with people on the basis of justice, then since Allah's created servants, although they act by Allah Almighty's justice, will give deficient judgments with a mind created deficient, Allah Almighty, free of all deficient attributes, surely, as Judge of judges, flawlessly, letting no one get away with what they did, will call them to account. O people! Fear Allah! Do not think that Allah will break the promise He will give His prophets. Whatever Allah has willed, whatever He has promised people, surely Allah fulfills His promise, and no created being can be as faithful to its promise as Allah. Because Allah is absolutely supreme.
He is the possessor of power. His creatures are under His rule. There is no god but Him. He is the Owner of all creatures. Therefore, Allah: eleysallâhu bi ahkemi'l-hâkimîn. Allah, as Judge of judges, among His creatures, without an atom's weight of discrimination, will surely give everyone the recompense of what they earned with justice.
Yes. He is the Owner of all creatures. When we say creatures, it is not only people, animals and so on that we mean. The seven layers of heavens, the earth and (?), the Throne of Allah, whatever comes to your mind, and what doesn't, all created things, by Allah Almighty's attribute of absolute rule, by His attribute of absolute power, are under His own rule.
A person may discriminate. However upright he may be, perhaps, perhaps he may discriminate. For example, his father is guilty, and he himself is the judge. He may rule in his father's favor. Someone is his friend. A person he loves dearly. He may testify in his favor.
But since all these created beings are Allah's servants, Allah never discriminates among His servants. What does the Prophet (peace be upon him) say?
They ask the Prophet (peace be upon him): Who is called an oppressor? A father who discriminates among his children is also an oppressor, he says. If a person who discriminates among his children is an oppressor, would Allah, free of deficient attributes, be unjust among all the beings He created? Is Allah an oppressor? Since all these people too are His servants, then among His servants with complete justice He will judge. Yes. Without an atom's weight of discrimination, He will surely give everyone the recompense of what they earned with justice. So let no one think they will get away with what they did.
Whoever, stepping outside Allah's justice, wrongs people or Allah's creatures, (?) and living beings, oversteps the bounds in injustice, ignores Allah's justice, spreads corruption on earth, they will not get away with what they did. Allah will give everyone their due.
