There is a time, the deniers will wish that they were Muslims.
Tafsir
Allah (swt) created the intellect and gave it to human beings in order that they may know that a Lord has created them. In this respect, every intelligent human being knows that he has been created. Moreover, since the mind is created in such a state that it can distinguish between the right and the wrong, when the Word of Truth is communicated to people, people understand the Truth, but because it is not in their interest, they turn away from the Truth and follow the falsehood and the nafs.
When a calamity befalls them and they are in distress, they wish we were Muslims because they envy the lives of Muslims, but they cannot enter Islam because they are fond of the world, they have bad morals, they cannot enter Islam, they cannot leave the bad environment because the life they are living is attractive to them. Whatever is the human nature, whatever is written in his covenant and destiny, he cannot go beyond it.
What is said in the video
The second verse of Surah Al-Hijr. Those who deny at times wish, "If only we too had been Muslims." At times. What are these occasional wishes of theirs? That within their own restless lives they fall apart and, within the peaceful lives of Muslims, see themselves as lower, falling into an inferiority complex, envying them, envying their state. It is not in the sense of living that life. Because their own way of life, by their own reckoning, gives them life. And so those who don't live in that way of life, who don't drink alcohol, who, let me say, don't go down the bad path, "these are people like grass," they say.
Yes, had he, with the light of Islam, seen that light, that radiance in his heart, and sensed that peace, all the pleasure of this world, beside that peace, would have remained tasteless. Yes.
Indeed, in the verse in Surah An-Nur our Lord so beautifully says: We place Our light in the hearts of those We love. Neither the shadow of the East nor of the West falls on it. The sun rises in the East. Outward knowledge. And in the West the sun sets. Falsehood. That is, this world and all the delicious pleasure of this world does not harm it. He is in such peace. If you ask me, "Hodja, have you lived this?" While in the world, I don't know lying. Truly, I have given up lying. After entering such a path. The world, you know, the world. The world feels like a dot under my foot. I'm above the world anyway.
The world was like a dot under my foot. In the times when I was being raised. Yes.
Indeed, if you don't pass through those paths, if Allah Almighty doesn't raise you spiritually in this way, you cannot understand these things. It is not possible for you to understand them. Yes.
Those who deny at times wish, "If only we too had been Muslims." Allah Almighty has created reason as the knowledge that a Lord created man; He created it. He has given it to people. From this, every person with reason knows that he was created. Also, since reason was created able to tell crooked from straight, when to people the word of truth is conveyed, people understand the truth. But when it does not suit them, they turn away from the truth and go after falsehood and the affairs of the nafs; they get attached to them. All these are the counterparts of Surah Al-A'raf, verse 172. Whenever a calamity befalls them and they fall into hardship, because they envy the Muslims' way of life, they say, "If only we too had been Muslims." Being attached to the world and having bad morals, he cannot enter Islam.
Because the life he is living appeals to him, he cannot leave the bad environment. Whatever a person's nature is, whatever his covenant had written into his destiny, he cannot go beyond it. Yes.
