Al-Hijr 14: If We would open a door above them to the sky and if they could climb up.

Translation

If We would open a door above them to the sky and if they could climb up.

Tafsir

If Allah (swt) were to open a door from the sky for these disbelieving criminals in order to prove His existence, and if He were to place a ladder on it and take them up from there, they would not turn their hearts back to Allah by living in their own state, for they would not be able to leave their nature, whatever their nature is. They will continue their rebellion.

If you ask about this, I will answer your questions during the lesson break.

We have come to verse 14 of Surah Al-Hijr.

And even if We opened to them a gate from the sky and they were to ascend through it,

We — to these people who keep alive the stamp of a hypocritical non-Muslim in their hearts, who in the first barzakh denied Allah and gave their covenant that way — and even if We opened to them a gate from the sky and raised them up through it, He says, they would still not believe. They would still not believe. Why would they not believe? Because there is denial in their hearts, because their desires and wishes are like that, these people, beyond the frame of the world of their desires and wishes, cannot go. Their capacity is only that much.

For these denying criminals, to prove His existence, if Allah Almighty were to open a gate from the sky above these people and, leaning a ladder against it, were to raise them up from here — their (?), whatever their natures are, since they cannot part from their natures, living their own state, their hearts will not turn to Allah. They will still continue their rebellion. How do you know, Hodja? Look, what does the verse below say?
