Verily, We give life and We give death, and We are the inheritor of everything.
Tafsir
Allah is the Creator, the Creator out of nothing. Just as Allah created all this creation, He also created human beings and living beings. Because there is neither a God nor a creator other than Allah. Allah has set a rule. All living things are born, grow, live and die. There is no power or creature other than Allah who can break this rule. In this respect, since the worlds were created in proportion to Allah's will, death and resurrection are in Allah's will and in His hands.
Human beings are born and grow up, and during this life they have many Allah-created possessions and children. The totality of these belongs to Allah. People who own some of the created things leave their possessions in the world upon their death. The heirs to it are the children or relatives behind them. When all of them finally disappear, that is, when the life of all living beings comes to an end, Allah will inherit all of these creations, and Allah will be the heir to His creations. With the verse, "The inheritance of the heavens and the earth belongs to Allah" (The inheritance of the heavens and the earth belongs to Allah), all of these creations belong to Allah, since there is no other Deity other than the Essence of Allah.
What is said in the video
On condition of not wronging (?), He guarantees the sustenance of everything He creates. Surah Al-Hijr, verse 23: this is the verse we have come to. Our Lord says in this verse: Indeed, We give life and cause death. What does it say? Yuhyî ve yumît. We give life and cause death. And We are the inheritors of everything. So people, in this material world created by Allah, owning what Allah has created, are temporary owners of property. They possess Allah Almighty's trusts, that is, Allah's property, as a trust. And even if they leave those trusts as an inheritance to the generations coming after them, in the end humankind will come to an end and the Last Hour will strike.
Since all property is Allah's, this property will remain to Allah alone. Every soul will taste death; the inheritance of the heavens and the earth will remain to Allah. Yes. Indeed, We give life and cause death. That is, no one is everlasting in this life. Just as you know that you were given life as We give life, that is, that you live, that you were born, you also know that you will die. So what We have created is a trust with you. A trust. "We are the inheritors of these trusts and of everything," it says. Yes. Allah Almighty is the One who brings into being out of nothing, the Creator. Just as He created all of creation and all that exists, Allah also created people and living beings. Because besides Allah there is neither a god nor a creator. Allah Almighty has set a rule: all living things are born, grow, live and die. Apart from Allah, there is neither a power nor a created being that could break this rule.
In this respect, since the worlds are created in measure with Allah's will, dying and coming to life are Allah's decree and lie with Him. So people too are born, grow, and during their lives come to own much that Allah created: property and children. All of these, that is, every one of them, belongs to Allah. People who own some created things leave, with their death, the things they owned behind in the world. Isn't that so? It is. What do you own? You own nothing. You were born naked, and naked, in an arm's length of cloth, to the other side you go.
His heirs are the children or relatives he leaves behind. In the end, when they have all passed away, that is, when the life of all living beings ends, since all these created things will remain to Allah, Allah Himself again becomes the heir of what He created. He created, and all property will remain to Him. Allah, hüve'l-evvelü ve'l-âhiru ve'z-zâhiru ve'l-bâtın. He is the First and the Last, the Manifest and the Hidden. If He is the First, if there was no being besides Him, if He is the Owner in the manifest worlds, if He also created these manifest worlds, then at the end, when these worlds cease to exist, this property will again pass as an inheritance to Allah, the Owner of all the worlds.
He will inherit the property. And with these verses He also tells us that in the end, as the Hidden, He is the Owner of the realm of the hereafter, the true realm. Yes.
In the end, when they have all passed away, that is, when the life of all living beings ends, since all these created things will remain to Allah, Allah Himself again becomes the heir of what He created. The inheritance of the earth and the heavens belongs to Allah. With this verse: since there is no other god besides Allah's own Being, since there is no other god besides His Being, all these created things, this universe belong to Allah.
And in a verse He says: there is not a particle, not a particle to come until the Last Day, of which We would not know what it will do. So the Creator has programmed those particles too until the Last Day, and knowing also where and what duty the particles yet to come, yet to be created, will perform, it tells us that Allah Almighty is the Owner of these worlds. Yes. It expresses tawhid, tawhid.
Just as non-Muslims say Allah is three, Mary, His son (?), Jesus, or as they say Ezra is the son, with such fabricated words they leave their own souls subjected to the fire in the eternal realm of hell. "Guard yourselves against this fire whose fuel is stones and people," it says. That is, do not associate partners with Allah; since there is no god besides Allah, toward your Creator, in respect, in reverence, and in remembering Him, or glorifying Him, or being governed by His religious ruling, or worshipping Him, do not fall short. Yes.
These last words I said remind me of something Yunus Emre said to Taptuk Emre. One day Taptuk Emre says to his students: "Bring me flowers," he says, "flowers." The students go out to the vineyards, gardens and fields. They gather flowers by the bunch.
Yunus Emre brings a single withered yellow flower to his teacher. When Taptuk Emre sees it, he says to Yunus Emre: "O Yunus, what is this? Of all the flowers, is this the one you found?" he says. Yunus says to his teacher: "Hodja, whichever flower I reached out to pick, I saw that it was remembering its Lord. This flower said to me: O Yunus, take me, pick me, today I am deprived of the remembrance of my Lord, it said, and so I took it and brought it, Hodja," he said.
Do not hold back from worshipping Allah; if you cut yourselves off from worship, either, like a non-Muslim, you live as one dead; "Do not be with the dead," according to the verse. Either you live like such dead, or your life is over and you have passed on to the hereafter. Yes, if you are in Islam, that is how it is.
We should take a good lesson from this.
