Vow to that; We know the ones who went before you and We know those who remain.
Tafsir
Allah, who created the universe out of nothing, has created everything from mote to sphere. Allah, who willed that His Essence should be known, created our souls and made a covenant with us. Surely Allah, who has made a covenant with us, will know what we have done or will do.
Therefore, Allah alone knows not only the state of the people who have gone before us, but also the state of those who will come after us and until the Day of Resurrection, and what they will do. For if the Creator did not know the state of His creatures or forgot them, this universe and this order would not remain in place. Everything would be in turmoil, the earth would be drowned in mischief and mischief, and life would be tasteless. There would be no Hereafter, and the one who did what he did would remain with what he did. Allah is He Who is aware of all that He has created, and Who does not let anyone get away with what he has done, and Who holds everyone to account for what he has done, and rewards him in full for what he has earned.
What is said in the video
Surah Al-Hijr, verse 24: Certainly We know those who came and went before you, and We know those who remain. What did we say? All the verses always confirm one another. There is not a single living being to come until the Last Day of which We would not know what it will do, it says, you see. What does it say here? Certainly We know those who came and went before you. Because He created. According to their wishes and desires, those people's aims Allah Almighty gave them in the way He willed. People themselves had Allah write their destinies. So into those people who had their destinies written, Allah placed those characters.
Of course, just as Allah knows what those people will do, what those to come, before and after, will do, so too afterwards, that is, after the Last Day, He also knows who will go where and to which ranks.
Then why did He send us to this world? As we said in the previous lesson too, since Allah Almighty gave us of His spirit, He created us close to His Being. At the address Elestü bi-Rabbiküm, since people saw Allah Almighty as being like themselves, they expected the Lord of their own imagination. They could not believe in Allah. So, with the verse "They will not be able to see their Lord", there is no god besides Allah, no Lord of their imagining for them to see. With this verse it expresses tawhid. Yes. Certainly We know those who came and went before you. And We know those who remain. That is, We also know those to come until the universe, that is, until the Last Day.
Allah, who brought the universe into being from nothing, created whatever there is, from particle to sphere. In fact, Allah, who willed to be known, created our spirits and made a covenant with us. Of course Allah, who made a covenant with us, will know what we do and what we will do. So Allah, not only the states of the peoples who passed before us but also the states of those to come after us and until the Last Day and what they will do. Because if the Creator had not looked after the states of His creatures, or had forgotten them, this universe and order would not have stayed in place. Everything would be thrown into chaos, the earth would drown in strife and corruption, and life would lose its taste.
There would be no such thing as the hereafter; whoever did something would get away with it. Allah is that Allah who is aware of everything He creates, and who lets no one get away with what they did, who calls everyone to account for their deeds and will give them in full the recompense of what they earned. Yes.
