(Allah) Said; “Oh Satan (Iblees)! What is the reason why you are not with those who prostrate?“

Tafsir

Although Allah knows what His creatures will do and say, He says to the demon, "Why did you not join those who prostrated themselves? The purpose of Allah (swt) asking the demon in this way is for His creatures to confess their crimes with their own mouths and of their own will. It is not that Allah does not know what His creatures will do and say. Allah, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted, the Exalted.

Allah (swt) informs people that Iblis will not prostrate and that when He sends people to the realm of property, He will give them deceptions and He informs people of these Verses so that people are aware of them. Iblis did not prostrate because of the traits he had in himself. These traits are the traits that lead people to disaster. These are self-will, glory, fame, pride, arrogance, selfishness and love of the world. It was because of this egoism and arrogance that Iblis rebelled against Allah (swt).

What is said in the video

So please forgive me whatever I owe you. We will explain as much as we are able to. Surah Al-Hijr, verse 32. Allah Almighty: O Iblis! What is the reason you are not among those who prostrated? He said. When Allah Almighty said, prostrate to Adam, the angels all prostrated together, and Iblis did not prostrate. Now: O Iblis! What is the reason you are not among those who prostrated, He said. As if Allah Almighty doesn't know the reason? He knows. Then why does He ask? He will make everyone a witness against themselves. Everyone will see the recompense for what they did, and no one will be able to say: You, without asking me my opinion, punished me.

Yes.

Although Allah Almighty knows what His creatures will do and what they will say, He says to Iblis: why were you not among those who prostrated? The purpose of Allah Almighty asking Iblis this way is so that His creatures, with their own mouths and of their own will, confess their guilt. Yes. Doesn't Allah Almighty also know what we will do? He knows. How does He know, Hodja? Allah Almighty is free from deficient attributes. You cannot deny a single letter of His verses. So in His verse He says: there is not a single living being to come until the Day of Judgment of which We do not know what it will not do.

Yes. So although we know — although He knows what we will do, He sends us to the world of mulk. Through the deeds we actually carry out, we make ourselves witnesses to ourselves, to those around us and to our Lord.

Yes.

It is not that Allah Almighty, what His creatures will do and what they will say, does not know. Allah, who is free from deficient attributes, so that His creatures take lessons from these events, explains His verses this way. That Iblis would not prostrate, and that when He sent people to the world of mulk he would set tricks for them — so that people are aware of these, Allah Almighty makes these verses of His known to people.

(?) that he did not prostrate, that he did not prostrate to Adam — so Allah Almighty, who created people honored above the worlds, introduces to the human being his enemy so beautifully with this verse. What does He say? O human being! This Iblis, who did not prostrate to your forefather and who opposed My command, will work to turn you from your path too. Know that he is your enemy. Beware, do not fall for his tricks and his seduction. Yes.

Yes.

That Iblis would not prostrate, and that when He sent people to the world of mulk he would set tricks for them — so that people are aware of these, Allah Almighty makes these verses of His known to people. Iblis did not prostrate because of the traits within him. And these traits are the traits that drag people to disaster too. They are the desires of the nafs, glory, fame, pride, arrogance, ego, and love of the world. It is out of this ego and arrogance that Iblis rebelled against Allah Almighty. Yes.

Now, suppose I ask you a question. (?) such a thing would never happen, of course.

Suppose I killed your father. Your father. Could you love me? I'm just saying. Could you love me? Hard. I killed your father, after all. I mean, if I kill your father today, maybe tomorrow I'll kill you too. Yes, maybe I will kill you. In that case, if I killed your father, you will become my enemy. Isn't that so? So if the accursed one, (?) to our forefather, since he went against Allah's command, was cursed and cast out, how can we love the accursed one? How can we fall for his seduction? Yes. To the question I asked a moment ago, you know, if I killed your father could you love me? When I said that, Allah Almighty says in His verse: blood feud (?).

Perhaps for my Lord's sake I would not become your enemy. But this one both did not prostrate to our forefather Adam and went outside Allah's command. Of course, if he is our enemy, if he calls us to the fire, if, in a way that harms our interests, he lays tricks and traps before us, how can we love this enemy and how can we do what he says? So then, do you know how we do it? The nafs never accepts the command of Allah Almighty and always does the opposite. And Satan enters a person from there. He works in partnership with the nafs. Here Satan, like a friend, hunts you and invites you to the abode of eternal punishment. Go ahead now, love him.

Yes.
