“Verily, you don’t have power over My servants. Except for those who follow you in rebellion!”

Tafsir

Shaytan has no control over people who know Allah. Because if a person has made his covenant with Allah (kalu bela), he will have good qualities within his own destiny, and Satan's temptation and mischief have no power over such servants. He cannot dominate such people either. These are people who are strong in character and meaning, who have clear perceptions, who are devoted to Allah and who fear Allah. But Iblis has no power over those who rebel against Allah and disbelieve in Him. If Iblis had dominion over mankind, he would have led all mankind astray and made no human worship Allah. However, man was created very honorable and powerful. Therefore, Satan has no dominion over man. If Iblis were to have dominion over man, Allah would have been displeased and would have lost His creation to Satan. In this case, the rebellious, those who make a bad covenant with Allah, those who do not recognize Allah, because they disbelieve in Allah, and because Iblis shows such people a bad path, and they like this bad path, so they follow it. In fact, the nature of these people is rebelliousness, so they willingly follow the path shown by Iblis, because it seems to them that sin is adorned. It is only to these that Satan has shown a way, and they have immediately taken it.

Allah (swt) is warning people by telling them what will happen with His verses. The devil cannot lead astray, nor can he rule over them and guide them, except those who will be subject to the devil from among the unruly ones. In one of his hadiths, the Prophet (s.a.w.) says, "I have bound my devil". This tie is not the usual rope or rope tie. He says, "I have bound my devil" because the devil cannot approach the Prophet (SAW) with the belief and faith given by the light of faith, with the strength of faith and knowledge in his heart, with his bond and love for Allah. So whoever judges by the Verses of Allah, fears Allah, adorns himself with Taqwa, and does not deviate from His path, Iblis has no power over such people. The demon can never get close to people like this.

What is said in the video

Yes, verse 42 of Surah Al-Hijr – we have come to it.

Indeed, over My servants you have no authority. Except those of the transgressors who follow you. Thank Allah, says Allah Almighty.

What (?) calls Allah's servants, calls His servants, sir – who are these servants of Allah? Those who have passed the nafs al-ammara, the nafs al-lawwama, the nafs al-mulhima, and risen to the nafs al-mutmainna. O soul at rest! Go, your Lord pleased with you, you pleased with your Lord, enter among My servants, enter My Paradise – the people He says this to. Yes. Over them he has no authority. Except those of the transgressors who follow you. Who are they? Those outside the religion of Islam, in pursuit of their nafs al-ammara, who within the feelings of the nafs are adorned with such things as fame and glory, pride, ego, grandeur and worldly majesty, people who are (?) with them, are excepted.

In fact, to such words given to them that please their nafs, these (?) to you and to Satan. Satan has no authority over people who know Allah. Because if a person at Kalu Bela gave his covenant to Allah as one obedient, since that person will have beautiful qualities within his own destiny, Satan's simple (?) and the like has no power over such servants. Yes.

Over such people he cannot establish authority, over such people he cannot establish authority. These are people strong in character and meaning, whose understanding is open, bound to Allah from the heart, who fear Allah. But over those who rebel against Allah and those who deny Allah, too, Iblis has no authority. If Iblis had authority over people, he would lead all people astray and would not let a single person worship Allah. Now let's say this part again, so it is understood well.

If he gave it to Allah as (?), since that person within his own destiny will have beautiful qualities, Satan's temptation and whispering, over such servants, has no power. Over such people he cannot establish authority either. This is a person who has mastered his nafs, strong in will, who fears Allah, has become of the community of His Beloved, is ruled by the sharia ruling, and goes along the straight path – such a person. Over him his rule does not pass. We understood this part.

These are people strong in character and meaning, whose understanding is open, bound to Allah from the heart, who fear Allah. But over those who rebel against Allah and those who deny Allah too, Iblis has no authority. Well, Hodja, we understood that, but if you ask how this happens: Allah Almighty created man with such a character that (?) no being can rule over man. Only man, with his own will, follows that being that will rule over him. Even this part needs (?). If Satan had the power to rule over man, then that person would say: me with weak character – I had characters – if You had created my (?) stronger, I would not have followed Satan – Allah, who is free from such deficient attributes, since He is free from such things, created man with will, and man by his own decisions is (?) Satan.

He gets carried away by Satan's temptation. Because he likes it. He has not been cleansed of the feelings of the nafs. Yes.

If Iblis had authority over people, he would lead all people astray. He would not let a single person worship Allah. Whereas man was created very honorable and strong. In that case Satan has no authority over man. If Iblis were able to establish authority over man, Allah would have let His attributes, what He created, be taken by Satan. In that case the transgressors, those who gave Allah a bad covenant, those who do not know Allah, since they deny Allah, when Iblis shows such people the bad path, since this bad path pleases them, they follow this path right away. In fact, since in these people's opportunities there is (?), by their own wishes, since sin appears adorned to them, they have entered the path Iblis showed.

So Iblis only shows them a path. And they enter that path right away. So now it has come to light in the verse. Remember, a being was needed to show the bad too. That's why, to a Satan, He says, to a Satan this permission We gave, He says. Yes. Now see how beautifully the verses support each other like this.

So Allah Almighty, by telling people in the verse what will happen, is warning people.

Apart from those of the transgressors who will follow the Accursed One, the Accursed One cannot lead anyone astray, nor establish authority over them and show them a path. In one of his hadiths, the Prophet (peace be upon him) says: I have bound my Satan. This binding is not with the rope or cord we know. With the belief and creed given by the light of faith, by the strength of the faith and knowledge in his heart, by his bond with Allah and his love for Him, Satan cannot approach the Prophet (peace be upon him); again, he says: I have bound my Satan. So whoever is ruled by Allah's verses, fears Allah, adorns himself with taqwa, and does not depart from His path – over such people Iblis has no rule.

Iblis can never approach such people. Yes.
