Translation

Do not call the Prophet as you would call each other. Allah truly knows those who make someone among you a cover and slip away. Thus, the ones who go against his orders shall fear that they will be struck by a trial or that a severe punishment will come upon them.

Tafsir

O you who believe! Do not call the Prophet as you call one another among yourselves. For the worlds were created from the light of the Prophet. Before the creation of the worlds, when the heavens and the earth and everything in between did not exist, Allah created the light of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and from his light He created the universe. He gave the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) from his soul and created all the Prophets from his soul. From the souls of the Prophets, He created the souls of their people. Therefore, since the Prophet (PBUH) was the first of the created beings, he is the greatest of all created beings. In this respect, Allah (swt) says, "Had it not been for you, I would not have created these worlds.

In this case, since the Prophet (PBUH) is the greatest of the worlds, calling the Prophet (PBUH) by his name is not only contrary to the moral rules, it is also immoral and indecent. The faith of such people is also questionable. Just as a son of a father does not call his father by his name, but calls him 'father', meaning 'great', so when we call the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), we show our respect for him by calling him 'sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam', meaning 'may Allah's mercy, peace and blessings be upon him'. Or we say Rasulullah, meaning the Messenger of Allah, or we show our respect for him when we call him our Prophet. We show our loyalty to and love for the Prophet by saying, "May Allah's mercy and blessings, peace and blessings be upon him".

(Surely Allah knows those among you who slip away, taking someone as a cover). This verse refers to the hypocrites. When the Prophet (SAW) used to deliver the sermon during Friday prayers, the hypocrites would get bored and run away backwards, taking people as cover.

When Allah (swt) created all these worlds and made a covenant with people, He knows what they will do. When these people come to the realm of property, they practice their character trait of hypocrisy on themselves. Allah (swt) also informs people of these traits. These people think that when they run away, taking people as cover, they have escaped from these troubled times. Therefore, let those who disobey his command beware lest a calamity befall them or a painful torment befall them.

So, whoever becomes hypocritical in these circumstances and becomes bored, and runs away from the mosque without listening to the sermon, or does not listen to the order of the Prophet in a gathering, and turns his back, or runs away from the Prophet in the midst of a community without being seen by him, then a painful punishment will seize them. Are they sure of the punishment of Allah? No one can be as faithful to his promise as Allah. Allah torments such people with calamities and torments in this world, and He will cause them to suffer a painful punishment in the Hereafter.

If these people get bored and run away from worldly and egoistic events that do not suit them, Allah's torment will catch them in this world, and they will be subjected to eternal torment in the Hereafter.

What is said in the video

We left off at verse 63 of Surah An-Nur, it says.

Do not call the Prophet as you call one another among yourselves.

This falls under manners now. What does it say? Do not call the Prophet the way you call one another among yourselves. Those of you who slip away, using someone as cover, surely Allah knows them. These are the hypocrites. This much, this part, is about the hypocrites. Well, those of you who slip away, using someone as cover, surely Allah knows them. While the Prophet was preaching in the sermon, they would make themselves invisible, using their companions as cover, and run off; the hypocrites got bored. The verse is about them, this part. Therefore those who go against his command, those who go against the Prophet's command, let them beware lest a calamity befall them or a very painful punishment strike them, it says.

That is, those who slip away, the hypocrites, and those who even call the Prophet by his name.

O you who believe! Do not call the Prophet as you call one another among yourselves. Because the worlds were created from the Prophet's light. Muhammad (peace be upon him) – before the worlds were created, when the heavens and the earth and what is between them did not exist, Allah created the light of the Prophet (peace be upon him), and from that light He created the universe. He gave Muhammad (peace be upon him) of His spirit; all the prophets He created from his spirit.

Thus the Prophet (peace be upon him) is the first of the created.

He is the greatest of all the created worlds. In this respect Allah Almighty says: had it not been for you, I would not have created these worlds. Well now, it is the will of Allah Almighty to create a being. Such a being that it will be a part of His Essence, and He will hold it as addressee of His Essence. Before giving it of His spirit, He creates its light. From its light He creates these worlds.

The realm of Malakut included, created from his light. Then our Lord gives him of His spirit. As a part of that spirit He creates human beings, He creates the prophets. In that case, had He not created the Prophet, would these worlds exist? Now some people who do not know this point, in fact a group of Arabs went on a trip, and one of them stopped by here.

When this hadith was mentioned, he said: no such thing.

When it was explained, he sank into thought like this. The other one says it's true and so on. "This isn't so," he says. They walked off. They ran off. They left here and went away.

Yes.

In that case, since the Prophet (peace be upon him) is in the position of the greatest of the worlds, calling the Prophet (peace be upon him) by his name not only goes against moral rules, it also brings this immorality and impertinence with it. The faith of people in this state is also doubted. Now, can I call my Hodja "Ahmet"? Or can I call him "Mehmet"? (?) He is my Hodja. What do I say? I say "Hodja".

Yes.

The faith of people in this state is doubted. Just as a child does not address his father by his name but, as his elder, addresses him as "father", so we too, when we mention the Prophet (peace be upon him), in the sense of "may Allah's mercy, blessing and peace be upon the Prophet", address him with "sallallahu aleyhi ve sellem", and so we show our respect for him.

Or we say "Rasulullah", meaning the Messenger of Allah. Or when we say "our Prophet", we express our respect for him.

And right after, saying "may Allah's mercy and grace, blessings and peace be upon our Prophet", we show toward our Prophet our devotion and our love for him.

Allah surely knows those of you who slip away using someone as cover. This verse points to the hypocrites. At the Friday prayer, when the Prophet (peace be upon him) went up for the sermon, the hypocrites would get bored and, using people as cover, slip back out. Allah Almighty, having created all these worlds and made the covenant with people, knows what they will do. When these people come into the material world, the trait that is their character, the conduct of hypocrisy, they carry out in themselves. And Allah Almighty makes these traits of theirs known to people. These people think that when they run away using people as cover, they have escaped these difficult moments.

That they will meet this calamity and a wrath, look how Allah announces it in His verse. Therefore those who go against his command, that is, those who go against the command of the Prophet (peace be upon him), let them beware lest a calamity befall them or a very painful punishment strike them, He decrees. That is, let them repent. We did not create people free from error. Let them turn back from the mistakes they made. Let them repent to Allah Almighty. What will they say? O my Lord, I lived through a period of ignorance. I didn't know. I followed my nafs. Forgive me, he will say. There is no sin that Allah Almighty will not forgive.

But a person, a person must act sincerely. Sincerity. So whoever in these situations acts hypocritically and gets bored, runs out of the mosque without listening to the sermon, using one another as cover, or in a gathering does not listen to the Prophet's command, turns his back and leaves, or in a community, unseen by the Prophet, runs off – then a painful punishment will seize them.

Have they felt safe from Allah's punishment? No one can be as true to his promise as Allah. Allah makes such people suffer in this world, giving them calamities and punishments, and in the abode of the hereafter He leaves them to a painful punishment. So if these people, for worldly and selfish reasons, get bored with events that do not suit them and run away, just as Allah's punishment seizes them in this world, in the abode of the hereafter too they remain subject to an eternal punishment.
