Al-Hijr 59: And spare (The Prophet) Lot’s family. We will save them all.

Translation

And spare (The Prophet) Lot’s family. We will save them all.

Tafsir

The angels, seeing Hadrat Abraham praying to Allah (swt), complaining about Hadrat Lot, said to Hadrat Abraham: "O Abraham! We will destroy them all except the family of Lot. Because the people of Lot practiced homosexuality. It is a homosexual tribe that does not marry women. In this respect, this people did not listen to the warnings of Hadrat Lot and they denied Hadrat Lot. They do not believe in his prophethood and say that if there is an Allah, let him bring us punishment. In this respect, Lot was a lonely family among them. And his wife among them is one of those who do not believe in him.

At the same time, the women in the people of Prophet Lut (peace be upon him) participated in the sins of these people and did not raise a voice.

What is said in the video

He prayed to Allah that nothing would happen to Lot. Yes.

But the family of Lot excepted, we will save all of them, the angels said. Seeing Abraham (peace be upon him) lamenting about Lot and praying to Allah Almighty, the angels said to Abraham (peace be upon him): O Abraham, we will destroy all among them except the family of Lot. Because the people of Lot practise homosexuality. It is a people that does not marry women, that is homosexual. For this reason this people does not listen to the warnings of Lot (peace be upon him), and they call Lot (peace be upon him) a liar. They do not believe in his prophethood, and if there is an Allah as you say, let Him bring punishment upon us, they say. For this reason Lot (peace be upon him) is a family left alone among them.

Among them, his wife too is one of those who do not believe in him. At the same time, the women among the people of Lot (peace be upon him) also take part in the sins these people commit and do not speak up, it says. In this situation, for this people the order of destruction was issued. They opposed Lot (peace be upon him) and rejected Lot (peace be upon him) and among them they left Lot (peace be upon him) alone.
