“Take your family to travel in a part of the night and walk behind them. None of you shall look behind; go to the place that was asked from you.”
Tafsir
After the angels, the messengers of Allah, convinced Hadrat Lot (as) that they were angels, they addressed Lot (as) to save them from this destruction: "O Lot, this people will be destroyed in the morning. You take your family and continue to the desired place without looking back. What is meant by the desired place; It is the place where they reach the place of salvation by going out of the town where they will be destroyed away from that town. When the angels told Hadrat Lut to walk behind his family members, it was to protect Hadrat Lut's family members from a future danger.
Allah's command is that no one should look back. Except those who have doubt and disbelief in their hearts. Hazrat Lot's wife disobeyed the Divine command and wanted to turn back and watch what was happening. But since he will be among the rest, he will perish there too.
What is said in the video
Surah Al-Hijr, verse 65. In a part of the night set out with your family, and you walk behind them; let none of you turn and look back; go where you are commanded. That is, the commanded place is a certain place the angels described; set out in a part of the night and go as far as there, it says. To the rest: do not look behind you, because we will destroy these places, it says. After the angels, who were Allah's messengers, had convinced Prophet Lot that they were angels, so that they would be saved from this destruction, addressing Prophet Lot they said: O Lot, toward morning this people will be destroyed.
Take your family and go on to the commanded place without looking back. What is meant by the commanded place is the place far from that town where, (?) the town that was to be destroyed, they reach safety. The angels telling Prophet Lot to walk behind his family members is so that Lot would also protect his family from any danger that might come.
The divine command, Allah's command, is that no one turn and look back. Except the one with doubt and denial in her heart: Lot's wife, since she did not obey the divine command, wants to turn back and watch what is happening. But since she is to be among those who remain behind, she too is destroyed there.
