Vow to that; the people of Hijr (Rocky Tract) had also denied Prophets.
Tafsir
The people of Hijr also denied their Prophet. Hijr is the name of the town where Prophet Salih lived. The name given to the people who lived there is Thamud. This people is known as the tribe of Thamud.
They also denied their Prophet. Although they saw miracles from Allah, they disbelieved and did not keep their word. Therefore, this people also perished.

The people of Al-Hijr too rejected the prophets as liars. Al-Hijr is the name of the land of the people among whom the prophet Salih lived. The name given to the people living here is Thamud. This people is known as the people of Thamud. They too rejected their prophet as a liar; despite seeing a miracle from Allah they disbelieved and did not keep their word. Of this people — so for this reason this people too was destroyed.
