They fear their Lord above them and do everything as they are ordered to do.
Tafsir
Those who are created under the sovereignty of Allah fear their Lord above them, for they are programmed with Allah's knowledge to make them remember His Essence and the duties they are to perform. The meaning of the Lord above them here is not that Allah is in the heavens and above them. Those who know Allah know that there is no other god but Allah. They fear and dread their Lord. They submit to Allah. These are the people who fear their Lord, who is the command of Allah above them. They do what they are commanded to do. Man has been left free in his own will and his own will has become his destiny. In this respect, when people do not fulfill what they are commanded to do in rebellion against Allah, they will be held to account for it in the Hereafter, on the Day of Judgment, when they will be held to account on that day of reckoning in the Court-i Kübra.
What is said in the video
We have come to verse 50 of Surah An-Nahl. They fear their Lord above them and do whatever they are commanded. Now let us open up this verse a little in detail. Some ignorant people, ignorant people, look for Allah in the heavens, look for Him up high. Whereas Allah Almighty is present and seeing everywhere. If the world turns in space around its own axis, if today it is high here, and below the earth, that is, on the opposite side, the side where it is night, it stays below, 12 hours later we come to that lower side, and the sky is again up high. So when it says 'they fear their Lord above them', you will not look for Allah Almighty in the heavens.
Where will you look? In His command above you; you will look in yourself too. Yes. He has given you a part of His Essence too, and I now remember these words of İbrahim Fakrullah. 'I seek the beloved; that, it turns out, is the soul within the soul,' (?). In yourself you will (?) Allah. That is, the command of Allah that is above you. They fear their Lord and do whatever they are commanded. What they carry above them — not on their back, of course; what would they carry? What I carry above me, not on my back, is in my mind. I carry it in my mind. In my mind, you see, I fear my Lord and try to carry out His commands.
Is this not my Lord above me, my Lord's command above me? Yes. Must I, as a person, or as a load, carry it on my back? In this case, if a person is bound by Allah's command, then, to carry out the command of his Lord above him, so as not to step outside it, he fears his Lord. For example, in a verse Allah Almighty says: I have such servants that neither buying and selling nor trade keeps them from My remembrance — so beautifully He says it. In every purchase and trade he makes, in every conversation he has, that person remembers Allah. How so, Hodja? If you reform your nafs, in every conversation: is the heart of the person in front of me being broken?
Or how close am I getting to him? Or how far am I adapting him to our Lord? (?) I speak for his sake. Or while shopping: am I perhaps deceiving the person in front of me? Am I perhaps earning more than what is lawful? Or am I giving these goods short or in full? These goods are faulty — am I giving them to the other person? In this way he does his trading, always holding himself to account. And what does this mean? Since Allah is always in his mind, it means he remembers Allah. That is: neither buying and selling nor trade keeps him from My remembrance, He says. Yes. So they fear their Lord above them and do whatever they are commanded. Those created under Allah's rule, since by Allah's knowledge He makes them remember His Essence and since they are programmed for the duties they will carry out, fear their Lord above them. Here, 'their Lord above them' does not mean that Allah is in the heavens, above them.
Those who know Allah know that there is no other god besides Allah. They fear and are wary of their Lord. They submit to Allah. These people — their Lord, which is Allah's command above them — they fear. Whatever they were commanded, they do. As man was left free in his own will, man's own wish has become his destiny. For this reason, the things man is commanded — when people, rebelling against Allah, do not carry them out, they will give account for them in the hereafter, on the Day of Resurrection, at the Supreme Court, on that Day of Reckoning, when they are called to account.
