Translation

All provisions that reach you, belong to Allah. And when harm reaches you, you only cry to Allah.

Tafsir

Whatever Allah (swt) has bestowed upon mankind in the form of blessings, it is all from His bounty. There is no other deity except Him, so that He can bestow His blessings upon mankind. So, in the face of all these blessings and sustenance, would man abandon Allah? Can all these blessings created by Allah be asked from idols who are ignorant of themselves? The objects that they associate partners with Allah by extending them with their hands are also the creations of Allah. Do people of reason worship Allah's creations and abandon Allah? In fact, when people are in distress, they ask Allah alone, forgetting that they associate partners with Allah. When Allah meets people's needs and relieves their distress, you will see that some people have gone back to their old perversity and have turned away from their Lord again.

What is said in the video

In verse 53 of Surah An-Nahl: whatever reaches you as a blessing is from Allah. Of course — or, He says, do you own a single particle of your world? If that were so, He says, you would not be given anything of your world, Allah Almighty says. What does this mean? Or are you able to create a single particle of your world? He says. If you had been able to create a single particle in the world, He says, you would create your own needs too and not bring your need to Me, and I, He says, would not give you anything of the world, He says. I would give nothing. So if I created you, I also brought your needs into the world and set them there; whatever reaches you, or whatever reaches My creatures, all of it is a blessing to people from your Lord's grace, He says.

Blessing. Whatever reaches you as a blessing is from Allah. Then, when harm touches you, you implore Him alone. You know, sometimes with your wealth, sometimes with your lives We test you, He says. What does He say? What does Allah Almighty say? Sometimes with your wealth, sometimes with your lives We test you, He says. Then, when harm touches you, you implore Him alone. And then you forget Allah. You live in the desires of the self and in pleasure and enjoyment. But when one falls into straits, you immediately say 'Allah', He says. When Allah removes your hardship, (?). Again you turn your back on Allah, He says.

Yes.

Now a (?) parable I had told you. According to this verse, the place for the (?) parable has come again. As its place comes, we will tell that story to you. He goes to the Baytullah, to (?). He clings to the ring of the Baytullah. He says: on the Day of Resurrection bear witness for me. Look, I have come here. The house of my Lord, he says, I am circling. From behind, a very old man hears this person speaking and chuckles quietly.

He turns around, looks and sees a very old man; he says: blessed one, why did you laugh? He says: my son, he says, do not seek help from (?), he says; seek help from Allah, from Allah, he says. Father, who are you? he says. Oh, he says, have you not heard my name? he says. No. And me, he says, they call 'hu halilim hu hu hu halilim hu,' he says.

Sorry — before saying that: ask Allah my name, he says. Ask Allah. This time the man is bewildered. What kind of person is this, he says. He wants me to ask Allah his name, he says. When he says 'My Allah, what kind of servant of Yours is this?', from the unseen a voice he hears: 'He is My hu halilim hu hu hu halilim hu,' it says. Thereupon: father, he says, (?), he says, to a servant who is a friend of Allah let me render some service, he says. Command me something so that I may carry it out, he says. He says: my son, bring me some Zamzam water from over there so that I may drink it, he says. He immediately runs off to get the Zamzam water, comes back and sees that the man has passed away.

That person who was to serve says: my Allah, what a (?) servant I am, that to such a servant I love, he says, I could not render service. Right away it comes to his mind: at least let me serve his dead body, he says. He runs off to get the shroud, looks and sees the man is not in his place. Allah Allah. The man is very saddened. Again he hears a voice from the unseen. 'The one who remembered Me in his times of plenty — would I leave him alone in his time of hardship?' it says. 'Long ago, I took him and put him in his place,' it says. Yes. If we say Allah in our times of plenty, Allah comes to our rescue in our times of hardship.

We never come to grief.

Even if there were armour of iron, even if there were shields of steel, those doors would break and you would still attain your wish. Because for Allah there is no hidden or closed door. As long as you are with Him, Allah is with you too. Yes. So whatever reaches you as a blessing is from Allah. Then when harm touches you, you implore Him alone, He says.

Whatever Allah Almighty gave people as a blessing is all from Allah's grace and generosity. There is no other god besides Him who could also grant people blessings out of grace. So, in the face of so many blessings and provisions, does man abandon Allah? With so many blessings that Allah created, does one ask of idols (?)? The objects they shape with their hands and set up as partners to Allah are also Allah's created beings. Do people of reason worship what Allah created? Do they abandon Allah? Indeed, when people fall into straits, forgetting that they set up partners to Allah, they ask from Allah alone.

When Allah meets people's needs and removes their hardships, you look and see that some people have returned to their old (?) and again turned their faces away from their Lord. Yes.
