Tafsir
Allah (swt) sent the Holy Qur'an to the Prophet (s.a.w.) to explain things about which people differed. For example, He revealed the Holy Qur'an to the Prophet (PBUH) to explain to people that the Hereafter exists, that Allah (swt) is eternal and everlasting, that He has no children and no offspring, that He is one with His Essence, that He is the only One, that He explains to people what is lawful and unlawful, and that He explains to people the Shari'ah rulings of Allah (swt). As the Holy Prophet (PBUH) came as a mercy to all the worlds, the Holy Qur'an is a Book sent as a mercy to all the worlds. In the hope that people will take a lesson and come to life.
It is also guidance and mercy for a believing people. Because the Qur'an is a guide and a light before man. Whoever follows the Qur'an and judges by its verses, they will have the morals of Allah. They fulfill Allah's commandment. Whoever judges by Allah's judgment, they will be the recipients of Allah's mercy. For such people the Holy Quran is a guidance and mercy.
What is said in the video
We have sent down this Book to you only so that you may explain to people what they differed about, and as guidance and mercy for a people who believe, He says.
Yes. Note the beauty of the verse, that is, the subtlety and completeness of the word. We have sent down this Book to you only so that you may explain to people what they differed about; that is, the Holy Quran, so you may explain what people differed about, that is, about the prophets; and to those who, regarding the books given to them, inserted fabricated words into those books and judged by them, and who, differing about this as well, sank into falsehoods, so that you may explain it; and for a people who believe, that is, We sent this to the worlds, We sent the Quran to the worlds, but among the worlds, to those who do not believe, to those who turn their backs on the Quran too, and to a people who believe, We sent it down as guidance and mercy.
To the one who believes. To the one who does not believe, the Quran will be of no benefit anyway. What beautiful speech this is. What are you saying, what are you to explain? We sent it down as guidance and mercy for a people who believe. If a believing people judges by the verses of Allah Almighty, people who judge by our Lord's verses, even if they did something by mistake, Allah, because He ties their deeds to their intentions, turns even their straying paths into mercy. Because a person can stray onto some wrong paths by mistake. In this case, since Allah Almighty sent His verses to people so that they may see the truth, if people who see the truth, with their shortcomings, still stray onto wrong paths, then Allah Almighty, because these, merely in giving judgment, with an incomplete mind strayed onto wrong paths, and since deeds depend on intention, according to this verse, again turns these paths of theirs into mercy. So Allah Almighty sent to the Prophet (peace be upon him) the Holy Quran about the things people differed about, in order to explain them.
For example, that the hereafter exists, that Allah Almighty is without beginning and without end, that He has no spouse or children, that He is one, self-subsisting; to explain the lawful and the unlawful to people, to tell people Allah's religious ruling, He sent down to the Prophet (peace be upon him) the Holy Quran. And since the Prophet (peace be upon him) came as a mercy to the worlds, the Holy Quran too is a Book sent as a mercy to all the worlds. So that perhaps people take a lesson and find life. Yes. Within a believing people it is guidance, it is mercy. Because the Quran is a guide and a light before a person.
Whoever follows the Quran and judges by its verses takes on Allah's morals. He has fulfilled Allah's divine command. Whoever judges by Allah's ruling, those are the ones who attain Allah's mercy. Such people, the Holy Quran, for such people the Holy Quran is guidance and mercy.
These worlds were created with knowledge, with knowledge. And as a result of this knowledge, everything is built on the foundation of a truth. Every owner of reason, that these beings have a Creator, and that this Creator is the owner of these worlds, and that man, for his part, into the world, aimlessly, for pleasure and enjoyment was not sent, within this world, that is, within the pleasure and enjoyment of this world, through the worship man performs for his Lord, and beyond worship, by fulfilling our Lord's commands, that we be servants to Him and a community to His prophets, this He wanted to make known to us.
For this reason He sent the Holy Quran and the prophets for this.
