Some of you have more provisions than some others (determined by the covenant they made with Allah). Those with abundant provisions do not make themselves equal to the ones under their hands by giving them their provisions. Are they denying Allah’s blessings?
Tafsir
Allah (swt) has allocated sustenance to people within their own destiny. Some have been given more of the worldly blessings and some have been given less than those who have been given abundant sustenance. When those who are given abundant sustenance give this sustenance to those who are under their hands, they do not make them equal. They don't bring it to the same level.
Yet Allah has placed the sustenance of all these worlds at the feet of human beings. Since Allah does not need anything, He has made these blessings available to human beings. While man does not give anything other than the sustenance Allah has given him, Allah has placed all of His creation at the disposal of man and made man the khalifah of the earth. Does man deny these bounties that Allah has given him, so that they turn their faces away from Allah? And they do not believe in Allah.
What is said in the video
Again there is a verse that has been wrongly interpreted. What does verse 71 say here? First let us read the wrong one. Allah has given some of you more abundant provision than others. It is not so. Then Allah would be ascribed attributes. "You gave to him, you didn't give to me. You let him live in the world, you didn't let me; so I'll do what I want" — that is what it would mean, may Allah protect us. Interpreting these things this way ascribes attributes to Allah. We seek refuge in Allah from such interpretation. Allah has given some of you more abundant provision than others. Those given abundant provision do not hand their provision to those under their control and make them equal to themselves in this.
While this is so, do they deny Allah's blessing? Now, here there are many words that don't fit together. "Those given abundant provision", it says, "do not hand their provision to those under their control and make themselves equal to them in this", it says. Now this time it creates discrimination among people too, which amounts to making some people superior to others through wealth and property. May Allah protect us, this too is a wrong interpretation. The correct one is this: according to the covenants they gave — according to the covenants people gave — some of you are more abundantly provided than others.
Those given abundant provision do not hand their provision to those under their control and make themselves equal to them in this. While this is so, do they deny Allah's blessing? Saying it this way, as the rendering of the verse, is a way of interpreting it without ascribing attributes to Allah Almighty. Let's read this once more. According to the covenants they gave, that is, at the address "Elestü bi Rabbiküm", when they made covenant with Allah Almighty — some of you are more abundantly provided than others. That is, when the world was shown, one says "I want this and that" and asks according to his own character, and Allah Almighty writes that wish of his for him as destiny — that's what we said. As destiny.
But what is within destiny, we cannot know. We cannot speak about destiny. So since these people's desires, wishes and wills became their destiny, some of you are more abundantly provided than others. What does one say? "Oh, come on, the world's business is not for me," he says. Another says: "Let me be a boss like this, let me provide for these people." Another will say: "Let me just support my wife and children here and pass on through," for example, you see. So, when the world was shown to them that way, people's feelings, desires and wishes in this world become their destiny. Those given abundant provision do not hand their provision to those under their control and make them equal to themselves in this. So Allah Almighty, since He knows what people will feel within this provision, makes His verse known to people in this way. While this is so, it says, do they deny Allah's blessing?
That is, the One who created this provision gave it to you. Well, while this is so, while you do not give provision to those under your control, I, He says, to all people distribute My provision so abundantly — while this is so, He says, do they deny Allah's blessing, these people? Yes.
Allah Almighty has apportioned to people their provision within their own destinies. Some are given many worldly blessings, and others are given less provision than those given abundant provision. When those given abundant provision give from it to those under their control, they do not hold them equal to themselves, do not bring them to the same level. What does he say? "I, your — you (?) in need of me. What I say goes", or "I will do this, you will do that like this", and so on. That is, bringing them into a state of (?), people also in — in factories, isn't it so? The factory owner's orders, the managers there directing people, the foremen giving people instructions — and in this way the life of this world is shared out.
Since Allah needs nothing, He has offered these blessings for people's benefit. While man, from the provision Allah gave, to others gives nothing, Allah has placed all His creatures at people's command and made people the vicegerents of the earth. While this is so, does man deny these blessings Allah has given, turning their faces away from Allah and not believing in Allah? Yes.
