Translation

Allah has created spouses for you from your own nafs (souls), and Allah has created sons and grandchildren from your spouses, and Allah has provided you with clean provisions. Do they still believe in superstition and show ingratitude?

Tafsir

Allah (swt) sent mankind into this world and gave them worldly occupations to take away the boredom of their lives. He has given them wives and children and grandchildren from their children. The pleasure and desire to see children and grandchildren in people's lifetime, people's attachment to life, people's attachment to life, and the fact that the life of the world seems to people to be ornamental, increase people's desire to live in the world.

In addition, He has opened doors of sustenance for the sustenance of human beings. He sustains, feeds and nourishes mankind with the most beautiful and pure sustenance. (He sustains them with pure food) means that there is no other deity but Allah, and that Allah alone has no right over the sustenance that He has created, and that no one has any right over it except Allah's right, and that Allah (swt) created human beings and provided them with sustenance, and that Allah (swt) has given it to human beings as a right for their sustenance.

(Do they still believe in falsehood and are ungrateful for Allah's blessing?) These people have taken gods besides Allah. They associate partners with Allah. Or they have turned away from Allah, denying Allah and the Hereafter, convincing themselves that they receive their sustenance from other than Allah. Since those who disbelieve in Allah are ungrateful for Allah's sustenance, Allah warns them that there is no other God but Himself and that whatever the creatures need is provided by Allah. Are they ungrateful for the blessings of Allah by believing in falsehood? He says.

What is said in the video

In Surah An-Nahl, verse 72: Allah has made for you spouses from your own selves. And from your spouses He created for you sons and grandsons, and He has provided for you with pure foods. Do they still believe in falsehood and show ingratitude for Allah's blessing? it says. How beautifully Allah Almighty puts it. To bring people to their senses and for people to use their minds and reflect, how beautifully Allah makes Himself known to people here. Allah has made for you spouses from your own selves, it says. If we look at the worlds, every creature is created in pairs, and since people too are created honored above the worlds, since Allah Almighty holds them as addressees of Himself, for us too, from our own selves, He created spouses. And from your spouses He created for you sons and grandsons, it says. You know how people boast of their lineage — some even go so far as to count those in the graves.

So, that sons, children and grandsons are given to people by Allah as a favor — this He declares here. And He has provided you with pure foods, it says. And He made known to us our foods through the rulings of the Sharia. And about pure provisions, that is, foods that will not harm our bodies, He informed us. Do they still believe in falsehood and show ingratitude for Allah's blessing? it says. Still, it says — by going outside Allah's command and associating partners with Allah, or by eating what Allah does not want, what He made unclean, and saying to Allah, "You made these forbidden to us, but look, we eat them anyway" — in return for this, are they ungrateful to Allah? it says.

Let them, it says. As long as they eat those forbidden things, all the filth and ailments, all the germs and diseases spread from those non-Muslims.

Allah Almighty, in the world to which He sent mankind, to remove the tedium of their lives, has given people worldly occupations. He granted them spouses and children, and also grandchildren from their children. The joy and desire of seeing children and grandchildren in one's lifetime, people's attachment to life through the wishes in their lives, worldly life appearing adorned to people — these increase people's desire to live in the world.

In this field, for mankind's livelihood, He has opened to them the doors of provision. Providing people with the finest and purest provisions, He feeds them, giving them food and drink. The words "He provided you with pure foods": since there is no god other than Allah, only Allah bestows on people the provisions He created; since over these provisions no one has any right but Allah, and since Allah Almighty creates people and will provide for them, since He gives these as a right for people's nourishment to people, He speaks of them as pure provisions. Do they still believe in falsehood and show ingratitude for Allah's blessing?

These people took gods other than Allah. They associated partners with Allah, or, denying Allah and the hereafter, the provisions they received they persuaded themselves they had received from someone other than Allah, and turned their faces away from Allah. Since those who deny Allah show ingratitude for the provisions Allah gives, Allah Almighty, telling them that there is no god other than Himself, and that whatever created beings need is met by Allah, warns people. "Toward the blessings Allah gave, do they, believing in falsehood, show ingratitude?" He says. For there is no god other than Allah who could give provision to its creatures and so that these people could turn to that created second creator and commit shirk against Allah. That there is no such thing, Allah Almighty says in His verse as follows: Had there been another god besides Allah, one would take what it created, the other would take what it created, and all would be plunged into corruption, it says.

So if the unity and togetherness, the order and harmony of this universe continue, by telling us this means there is a single God and that the order He established will break apart only at the Last Day, our Lord tries to prove to us, to everyone with reason, that there is no god other than Himself. Yes.
