And Allah gives the example of these two men: one of them does not speak, cannot accomplish anything and is a burden on his master. Wherever he sends him, there is no goodness. Now, is this man equal to the man who orders justice and walks on the straight path?
Tafsir
Here Allah (swt) gives another example. He again gives an example between two people. In the examples here, idols and people are not meant. Because Allah is exempt from any imperfect attributes. He never compares inanimate idols to human beings. Allah compares everything with its equal. In this verse, since human beings are addressed to Allah, He again makes a comparison between two human beings to prove His sovereignty and His sovereignty over His creatures.
In the example he gives, is one of the people who is incapable of seeing what is in front of him, who cannot work, who does not know what the end of his work will be, who is dumb and a burden to his master, equal to the one who commands justice, who knows everything he does, that is, who shows the truth to people, who sheds light on people on a straight path?
By giving such examples, Allah shows that He is the Creator, the All-Knowing, the All-Knowing, the Giver of life to His creatures, and that the creatures are dependent on Allah and find life in Him, but is it possible to associate partners with Allah and to rebel against Him, to be arrogant and disobedient to Him?
What is said in the video
Again, Allah Almighty here gives an example in this verse, in Surah An-Nahl, verse 76. Allah gives the example of these two men, it says. One of them is mute, can do nothing, and is a burden on his master. Wherever he sends him, he brings back no good. Now is this man equal to one who walks the right path and commands justice? it says. How beautifully Allah Almighty says it in the verse. You see, this verse beautifully supports that verse. Verses always support one another anyway. (?) who are speechless, mute, whose ears are deaf, whose hearts are sealed; while such people go somewhere and cannot bring back any good, the person who walks on the right path, who, by the sacred law Allah has chosen and set as light before people, walks the sirat al-mustaqim, the perfectly straight path, is he the same?
Yes. So Allah Almighty gives another example. Again He tells His example between two people. In these examples, idols and people are meant. For Allah is also free from deficient attributes. He never makes comparisons by likening lifeless idols to man. Allah compares everything with its equal. In this verse too, since people are addressed by Allah, again between two people He makes a comparison, and that the sovereignty of His essence prevails over His creation He thereby proves. Yes.
In the example He gives, one person is helpless, cannot see ahead, cannot do work, does not know how what he does will end, is mute and a burden to his master, and the one who knows everything he does, commands justice, that is, shows people the truth, and on a perfectly straight path holds a light for people: are these people the same? So Allah, by giving such examples, His essence being the Creator who knows every matter, who gives life to His creatures, while creatures need Allah and find life through Him, can partners be associated with Allah, can one rebel against Allah, be arrogant toward Him, oppose Him? Allah Almighty.
What beautiful examples Allah Almighty gives people.
