Translation

And they also said, “these are tales of the ancients, which he had made some people write and recite to him day and night.”

Tafsir

People who denied Allah and the Hereafter continued to lie about the Prophet (SAW) and falsely accuse him. They said that Muhammad, who claimed to be a Prophet, was telling people what were the tales of the ancients, by dictating them to others, having them read to him, and then memorizing them. Don't these people ever think about how those who did not believe in these tales, even if they were the tales of the ancients, perished! Do those who are aware of these tales not know that those who did not believe in them perished? Those who are aware of these events, those who knowingly disbelieve in Allah, and those who inscribe their disbelief as their destiny, will certainly continue their disbelief as they live out their lives in this world. Because no human being can escape his destiny and change it. In this respect, those who disbelieve in Allah are the people who are very comfortable in their disbelief and who try to find strength in the world, in the company of those who disbelieve like them. There is no one other than Allah who can help Allah's creatures. And whoever turns away from Allah, those are the losers.

What is said in the video

Surah Al-Furqan, verse 5: and again they said, that is, these disbelieving idolaters, polytheists, or those from the People of the Book who deny the Quran, our Lord and the Prophet (peace be upon him) — again they said: these verses are tales of the ancients he has had written by someone else and that are read to him morning and evening.

Were such tales heard among the earlier peoples?

People who deny Allah and the Hereafter, about the Prophet (peace be upon him), telling lies and unjustly accusing the Prophet, they continued. They said: Muhammad, who claims to be a prophet, has what belongs to the tales of the ancients written by others, and having what he had written read to him and memorizing it, tells it to people, they said. Again, do these people never think? Even if they were tales of the ancients: how those who did not believe these tales were destroyed — so do those who are aware of these tales not know that those who did not believe in these tales were destroyed? Those who are aware of these events, who deny Allah knowingly, and who had this denial written for themselves as their destiny, while living out their lives in this world, will of course continue in their denial. Yes.

Because no human can escape his destiny or change it. In this respect, those who deny Allah are, within their denial, very comfortably intertwined with the world, beside those who deny like them, people trying to gain strength with them. Besides Allah there is none to help Allah's creatures. Whoever turns his face away from Allah, (?), those who wrong their own selves are these as well. Yes.
