Translation

They (also) said; “What kind of a Prophet is this who eats (like us) and walks in bazaars! An angel should have been sent down to him, to proclaim along with him.”

Tafsir

The polytheists and disbelievers also said about the Prophet (s.a.w.). What kind of a Prophet is this, traveling from market to market, eating and drinking like us? They said, 'Why had not an angel come to confirm his Prophethood?

Allah says that whatever you are, We will send a Prophet from your kind. He sent Prophets to angels from angels. He sent Prophets to human beings from human beings. If Allah had sent what He desired for people to believe in Him, He would have finished our work in the Hereafter. He would have programmed us without violence and oppression, just as He programmed His other creations to do what they were meant to do.

Allah (swt) has given great value and worth to human beings, He has left them free in their wills, and by creating human beings as equal creatures, He has willed that they should know the Essence of Allah (swt) through their own wills. In this respect, He sent Prophets to human beings from among human beings and put their will in their own hands. In this respect, if the polytheists and disbelievers were to believe, they would have believed in Prophets who came from human beings. These are the people who disbelieved in Allah when they made a covenant with Him in the Hereafter, before they came to this world. If Allah had sent them Prophets from angels, or even the Prophets they desired, they would still not have believed. In this respect, since Allah (swt) knows in His foreknowledge what people will do, Allah (swt) completes His mercy on people regardless of what people say. Those who receive this mercy will be saved, and those who turn their backs on Allah's mercy will be wasting their souls.

What is said in the video

We come to Surah Al-Furqan, verse 7. They also said this: What kind of prophet is this? He eats food like us, walks around in the markets; an angel should have been sent down to him, to be a warner together with him. Angels together. Yet Allah Almighty says in a verse: whatever you are, We send you prophets of your own kind.

Here it comes to light that many people have the meanings they wrongly understood, as superstition, in their minds settled as correct. When it says, We send to every people a prophet of their own kind, Gabriel to people, that is, as the Prophet's teacher, is what they send.

Gabriel is created from light; the Prophet was created from the spirit of Allah Almighty, and Gabriel was created from the light of the Prophet. Angels are created from light. And that light is of the Prophet (peace be upon him), who came as a mercy to the worlds: from his light. Allah Almighty creates the Prophet first from His light, then from His spirit. In this case Gabriel cannot teach the Prophet, created from the spirit of Allah, our Lord, who came as a mercy to the worlds. He only brings the revelation. He cannot reveal. Pay attention. He cannot reveal. He brings the revelation. Revealing belongs to Allah alone.

It is His conveying, from outside time and space, to the heart of the Prophet, who is within time and space, the verses by way of communication. It is His speaking with him. Bringing the revelation is the Holy Quran descending as a whole to Sidrat al-Muntaha, and from there, as far as Allah Almighty permitted, Jibril al-Amin taking the revelation and, to the Prophet (peace be upon him), reciting it. In this case Gabriel's reciting the revelation is not in the sense that he taught it. Because Allah Almighty had earlier, to the heart of the Prophet (peace be upon him), revealed it, made it known.

And He reinforced it by having Gabriel recite it.

Yes.

But when we tell people of Allah Almighty being free from deficient attributes, when we explain that the Prophet too will not commit errors against people, they come up with lame excuses: no, the Prophet too sins through slips and lapses, (?). The Prophet came as a mercy to the worlds. Muhammad (peace be upon him) came as a mercy to the worlds. Towards the worlds he is complete. He is without deficiency. Towards Allah Almighty he is deficient.

Only towards Allah Almighty is he deficient. In this case, regarding him no one can speak of slips and lapses.

That is how their nafs wants it. Then, for the sin he committed, he will say: the Prophet did it too, I did it, so what? Yes.

That is why no one can bring a flaw upon Allah and His Messenger. The polytheists and disbelievers said about the Prophet (peace be upon him): What kind of prophet is this, wandering the markets and bazaars, eating and drinking like us; if only an angel had come to confirm his prophethood, they said. Allah Almighty says: whatever you are, We send you a prophet of your kind. To angels He sent prophets from among the angels. And to people He sent prophets from among people. Had Allah, just so people would believe in His essence, sent them what they desired, He would have finished our business in the Hereafter.

As He did not program the other beings He created for the tasks they would do, us too, without using harsh pressure, He would have programmed. Yes, now people

said this about the Prophet: Of all people, did prophethood have to fall to Abu Talib's orphan?

If only it had come to one of two men from this city, one of the rich of Taif, one of the rich of Mecca. Anyway, had Allah Almighty sent a prophet from those rich men, a person, not for Allah and His Messenger but because he feared him, or because he trusted his wealth, would appear to believe in him and do what he said. Yet notice, all the prophets always came in poverty. Even if Moses was raised in Pharaoh's house, in the end he left it and, when he came back to Egypt in poverty, on the way to Pharaoh Allah Almighty appeared to Moses as fire: We entrust the truth to him. To his enemy —

having grown up beside Pharaoh, after Pharaoh died, as his heir, the people couldn't they have worshipped him? Couldn't he have called to the truth? But among all this I could not have separated the truth. That is why, as for the prophets, Allah Almighty, so that people could prove what kind of people they are, from material things, glory, fame and worldly goods (?), from modest people, brought the prophet. When I say modest, but these are glorious, honourable people. Glorious, honourable.

Wait, let me see. If I can find it for you in a verse here, if I can find that glorious, honourable verse, let me tell you.

Look what it says now. I found it, I found it.

Surah An-Nisa, verse 54. Or do they envy people for what Allah gave them of His grace? Yet We gave the lineage of Abraham the Book and wisdom, it says. To the lineage of Abraham. We gave the Book and wisdom, and granted them a great dominion, it says. (?) glory and fame, dominion. Isn't that so? And it gives the Book and wisdom to the lineage of Abraham. The Book to the prophets. And wisdom to the heirs of the prophets. How beautifully it says it. Yes.

Now, if I can find one more place here, I'll read that to you too.

Let's not waste our time now. So from whom does the Prophet's lineage come? It comes from Abraham Khalilullah. Because he said: My Lord, make my offspring imams. Those who rebel against Me I will never make imams, He said. What does this mean? I will make imams of those from your offspring who are obedient, He said. Yes. Then all the qutbs, the qutb al-azams, the qutb (?), the imams, come from the lineage of the Prophet (peace be upon him). And the Prophet (peace be upon him) is of the lineage of Abraham.

When asked, of whose community are you? — I am of the community of Abraham. What does Abraham's community mean?

What meaning comes out of this?

Abraham, from a young age, was a prophet who did not worship idols, a hanif. Hanif. And we are of that community. We are hanif. We have never worshipped any idol; we have known no god but Allah. Whose ummah are you? We are the ummah of Muhammad (peace be upon him). Yes.

What are you saying here? Allah Almighty: whatever you are, We send you a prophet of your kind, He says. To angels He sent prophets from among the angels. And to people He sent prophets from among people. Had Allah, just so people would believe in His essence, sent them what they desired, He would have finished our business in the Hereafter. As He did not program the other beings He created for the tasks they would do — as He programmed them, He would have, without harsh pressure, us too programmed. Yes. Allah Almighty, with the great worth and value He has given people, has left people free in their will and, by creating people as the noblest of creatures, has willed that people, by their own will, know Allah's essence.

In this case, man and I created man in the most beautiful form, He says. In the most beautiful form.

Now, since Allah Almighty gave people from the forms of His essence.

Ve lehü'l-esmâü'l-hüsnâ. With the most beautiful attribute He also distinguishes (?). Yes. That is, however many people will come into the world, those people's (?) forms, adorned with the forms of the essence: the most beautiful form belongs to our Lord.

In this case, some send us a written statement like this:

Written: will is of two kinds, it says. Correct. The universal will, Allah Almighty's. The partial will, man's. When you remove one of the wills, it says, that does not amount to denying the other, it says.

On what basis do you say this, wretched person?

On what basis did you say it? When you remove my will, you are not denying me, fine, but look, according to your reasoning, according to this statement, don't you realize that by attributing qualities to Allah you have fallen into kufr? When you remove my will from me, you are not denying me, fine, but when you use Allah Almighty's will over me, the verse Femen ya'mel miskâle zerretin hayran yerah, where did you hide that verse?

And the verse Ve men ya'mel miskâle zerretin şerran yerah — I will record even an atom's weight — where did you hide that verse? Today no one will be wronged, everyone will be given in full what he earned, the return of his own two hands — that verse, on the Day of Judgment, where did you hide it?

Come on, so you gave me my will and removed Allah's will from over us. If you remove Allah's will from over us, aren't you heading into denying Him? Even if you don't deny Him: had Allah Almighty, who created us helpless in darkness so deep we cannot see in front of us, not held a light before us, what would our state be?

Where are you hiding these? Without shame, without embarrassment: the scholars said so. There are two wills; if you remove one, it does not amount to denying it, he says. Well, look at you.

And these are people with doctorates, mind you. I mean, they are not just any riffraff. Yes. Alas, alas, alas, alas, alas. Shame on them.

Allah Almighty, with a great doom and — with the great worth and value He gave people, has left people free in their will; that's will: free — left them, and by creating people as the noblest of creatures, has willed that people, by their own will, know Allah's essence. How beautiful: in this case Allah Almighty made a covenant with people; every person's desire, wish and will He wrote for him as destiny. Had We wished, We would have destroyed you before the Quran. But you would have said this, it says: If only You had sent us a prophet and a book, so that we had not fallen into this (?) and disgrace.

So when we made the covenant, since our Lord knew what we are, Allah Almighty, free from deficient attributes, created these worlds. He placed us in the world we call the unseen realm, where His essence is not seen. Now, bring it on. Here is a prophet for you. Here is a book for you. Here is a scholar for you.

Now what you want, your own desire and wish, your will, what kind of person you are, you will prove here. What does He do? He has placed characters in you according to your desires and wishes. According to your own desire and wish. When the time comes and you desire it, Allah Almighty creates the causes. And when, within those causes, we carry out the deeds we desired, we receive reward and sin.

Yes. In this case, how can you, attributing qualities to Allah Almighty, say: removing one of the wills does not amount to denying it? Astonishing. Astonishing.

I mean, if He removed my will from over me and used His own will, the person is preparing the ground for himself. What ground? A man from Kayseri put it like this: Let me get a foothold, then see what I'll do to you, he says. Now this one removed His will from over himself and did not deny Him, but: You removed my will, You made me do this, what do You want from me? he will say, that's what this means. Is that so? Oh, wretched person, oh. The document is in my hand, the document. That document is in my hand. What other documents do I have?

Allah Almighty, with the great worth and value He gave people, left people free in their will and, by creating people as the noblest of creatures, willed that people, by their own will, know Allah's essence. For this reason He sent people prophets from among people and put people's will in their own hands. For this reason, had the polytheists and disbelievers been going to believe at all, they would have believed in the prophets who came from among people. These are people who, in the Hereafter realm, before even coming into the world, when they made the covenant with Allah Almighty, denied Allah.

Had Allah Almighty sent them prophets from the angels, or even sent the prophets they desired, they still would not have believed. For this reason, since Allah Almighty knows in His pre-eternal knowledge what people will do, regardless of what people say, Allah completes His mercy upon people. From this mercy, Allah — whoever takes from this mercy is saved. Those who turn their backs on Allah's mercy are the ones who ruin their own souls. Yes.
