Tafsir
Allah (swt) does not create any of His creations in vain. Every creation has a duty and a service. Allah (swt) says that He has created shadows for you; He has created clouds and trees and various kinds of vegetation for people to cool off in the sweltering heat by providing us with both water and shadows with clouds. He created caves in the mountains, underground rivers and fresh water sources for people. These are still being used and will be used until the Day of Judgment. Whether people retreat to caves in the mountains during warfare, or when they go up to the mountains for recreation, sightseeing or hunting, these caves provide shelter and serve as a home.
He created clothes to protect people from heat and cold, from animals or various kinds of plants, from things like cotton, nylon, silk, etc. Whatever Allah has created, He has also created various creatures and plants to fulfill the needs of that creation.
He has put hard materials such as iron into the earth. As we use iron in many places, we also protect ourselves by making armor in wars.
Allah (swt) gives examples from His creation so that people can use their intellect to understand that Allah (swt) is the unity of God, that He has no partners, that He provides for the needs of all creation, so that people can use their intellect to turn to Allah (swt). With these examples, they are saved from the crooked paths and enter Islam, the straight path of the truth, which is the straight path of the truth, i.e. there is no other god but Allah, and Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. The Holy Qur'an is the last Book sent by Allah, and if they believe and have faith, they will be saved. In this respect, Allah is completing His blessing on people so that they may return to Him. Thus God is inviting people to salvation.
What is said in the video
Surah An-Nahl, verse 81. Allah Almighty — that mankind, using its mind, the man He has created, has no creator but Allah, that there is no other god but Allah, and that towards His creatures He is (?) compassionate and merciful, and that if man uses his mind, there is surely one who created him — Allah Almighty, through His verses, giving people examples, lists His signs. Look what it says in this verse. Allah has made shades for you from what He created. In the mountains He created shelters for you. Now, when it says Allah has made shades for you from what He created, well, today shades we all more or less know.
For example, on a very hot day you look, a cloud comes. A person finds shade under that cloud. Then the cloud shades the person. Or a tree, in an oasis, even if it has no leafy fruit, still, under a tree one cools off a little. A person takes shade from that tree and escapes the sun. So, a person, a person who senses these things and sees they are a blessing his Lord has given people, could not fail to thank Allah — it is not possible. But people use their minds in the direction of evil. Well, is there no one using it for good? Very few. For good. Allah Almighty — the littleness of your mind that you use for good He makes known in this verse.
Before your eyes thousands — every day, it says, thousands — of miracles appear. You are blind, you don't see, it says. Yes. So, if a person used his mind, the mercy our Lord has given man, and all these blessings He created for man — that man can never thank Allah Almighty enough for them, he would realise. But come to man's nafs, ask it a question. It's right about everything. He should have done everything, He didn't. Allah willed injustice for him. With rebellious words like these, siding with his nafs, taking Satan as his guide, taking his place in Satan's ranks — these are the words he speaks.
What does it say now? Allah has made shades for you from what He created. In the mountains He created shelters for you. Aren't there caves in the mountains today? What caves there are! What beautiful places there are! For example, in the old days, when people travelled the roads, in snow and storm, in these caves in the mountains they took refuge together with their animals. Together with their animals. Even now, in the regions, here and there, those grazing their animals, shepherds — we make use of those places. Yes. He created garments to protect you from the heat and armour to protect you in battle.
Yes. He taught David to make armour. Allah Almighty. He put iron into the world. In iron there is hardness, it says. In it there are benefits for you, it says. That's how we build our houses. If there were no iron, iron, the buildings would come down on our heads along with the heap of concrete. As for iron, we hold it up with its hardness. Yes. Thus Allah completes His blessing upon you so that you may become Muslims, it says. Why does it say "so that you become Muslims"? There is no god but Allah — that's what it says: if you think with your minds, that there is no other god but Allah, it says, you will now say, and so you will become Muslims, it says.
That is, if you were to use your minds. So what does this mean? Allah Almighty has given us such a fine mind that every thinking person proves the existence of Allah. He proves it with his mind. Every person of reason already knows he was created by someone. Yes.
Allah Almighty creates none of His creatures in vain. Every created thing has a duty and a service. Allah Almighty's saying He created shades for you: with the clouds both water for us and also, with kinds of cloud, having shades made for us; (?) in the heat, clouds under which people cool off for their rest, and trees, various plants He created. For people He created caves in the mountains, underground rivers, freshwater springs. Yes. These are still being used, and until the Day of Judgement they will be used. Whether people withdraw to caves in the mountains in wars, or for leisure and outings or hunting they go up the mountains, these caves serve people as shelter and render services like a house.
From animals or various plants, from materials like cotton, like nylon, like silk, He created garments to protect people from heat and cold. Whatever Allah created, He also created various creatures and plants to meet the needs of what He created. Into the earth's crust hard materials like iron He has put. Just as we use iron in many places, in wars, by making armour, He has also allowed us to protect ourselves. So Allah Almighty — so that people, using their minds, Allah's oneness, that no partners are to be ascribed to Him, that He meets the needs of all creatures — so that people, using their minds, turn back to Allah, examples from what He created are given. By these examples they are saved from crooked paths, and on the path of friendship with the Truth, the sirat-i mustaqim, they enter Islam, so that — that is, there is no other god but Allah, Muhammad is His servant and messenger, the Holy Quran is the last book Allah sent, they say.
They believe, they have faith, and they reach salvation. Yes. So if people use their minds, they reach salvation. Therefore Allah, so that they turn to His Being, upon people completes His blessing. Thus Allah invites people to salvation. Yes.
