When those who associate partners (with Allah) see those partners, they say; “Oh Our Lord! These are our partners that We worshipped and for whom We left you.” And they (their idols) will argue back saying; “verily, you are liars.”
Tafsir
On the Day of Reckoning, when the disbelievers, those who associate partners with Allah, see their idols, they will say, 'Our Lord, these are our partners whom we worshipped besides You. However, the disbelievers have shaped these idols they made in the world, the Lord they imagined, with their hands. They have made their own gods. When they see the torment in the Hereafter, when there is no life, mind or soul in these idols they have made with their hands, they continue their lies and say, "These are our partners whom we had abandoned you", their excuse being greater than their misdemeanor. However, Allah (swt) brought them before them on the Day of Reckoning to show that these idols have no power, that they are the creations of Allah (swt), that He has not given them reason or life, and that they are not able to do them any harm or benefit.
When those who go as disbelievers talk about their idols in this way, Allah (swt) will make them address the disbelievers, and their idols will say in reply: You are surely liars.
In this way, after their idols have answered them, they will turn their backs and go away. So Allah will destroy them.
Allah (swt) so clearly and unambiguously displays the events that will take place in front of people by mentioning His Essence. Allah (swt) speaks of both the past and the future, revealing to people what will happen in the Hereafter. Despite the fact that He presents undeniable events to people with the acceptance of every mind, people are still cruelly oppressing their own souls by being caught up in their own self-stubbornness, pride and arrogance. The place of such people is eternal hell.
What is said in the video
Surah An-Nahl, verse 86. Those who associate partners with Allah, when the partners they associated they see, they say – where will they see them? When we are resurrected again in the hereafter and Allah Almighty at the Supreme Court calls us to account, they will see there too the partners they associated, those idols of theirs. Allah Almighty will gather there the idols they associated with Him. They say: our Lord, these are our partners whom we worshipped instead of You. If a person does not use his mind, does not reflect, he goes along with feelings of the nafs; if he is together with satanic thoughts, he commits error after error like this, and with their errors they prove what kind of people they are.
Now what do they say? Our Lord, these are, whom we worshipped instead of You, our partners. Things Allah created, which you carved with your hands – lifeless matter, matter without life – carving them with your hands and, according to your mind, (?) and worshipping it, then with what mind can you, about that lifeless, soulless matter Allah created, 'our Lord, these are our partners whom we worshipped instead of You' say? Error upon error – supposedly to clear his own self, the superstitions he utters. And they to these – Allah Almighty will now give them a language to speak. That is, just as the Prophet, through miracles, spoke with trees – the stump moaned, and in that mosque the stump on which he gave fatwas, when it began to moan, he asks it: Why are you moaning? A new mosque has been built now.
Because you will no longer give fatwas on me. That is why, it says, I am moaning in sorrow. Thereupon one of the Companions takes it and puts it in his own garden.
In this way Allah, Allah Almighty will create miracles, and to those lifeless, non-living objects He will grant speech. And they will retort to them: 'You are surely liars.' What is this? (?) What will those idols say? We did not even know that you worshipped me. We were not even aware of ourselves. We were in no state to give either harm or benefit to people or to ourselves – they say. Yes. On that Day of Reckoning, those who disbelieve, who associate partners with Allah, when they see the idols they associated, they say: our Lord, these are, whom we worshipped instead of You, our partners. Yet those who disbelieve, while in the world, made these idols – they imagined their Lord and shaped Him with their hands.
They made their own gods themselves. While there is no life, mind or soul in these idols they made with their hands, in the hereafter, when they see that punishment, with an excuse worse than their offence, continuing their lies: these, instead of You, are our partners, they say. Yet Allah Almighty, to show that these idols have no power, that they are Allah's creations, that He did not give them mind and life, that they are in no state to give themselves either harm or benefit, will bring the idols on the Day of Reckoning before them.
Those who go as disbelievers, that is, who go from the world to the hereafter as non-Muslims – when they talk about their idols in this way, Allah Almighty, giving these idols speech, will make them address the disbelievers, and in reply their idols, 'you are surely liars', will say. So, after their idols answer them in this way, they will turn their backs and go. That is, Allah Almighty will annihilate them. Allah Almighty, so clearly and plainly, speaking of His Essence, the events to come before people lays out. Allah Almighty, speaking of both the past and the future, spreads out before people's eyes what will happen in the hereafter.
Although He presents to people events that, by every mind's acceptance, cannot be denied, people still, carried away by the stubbornness of their nafs, their pride and arrogance, wrong their own selves unjustly. The place of such people is the eternal life of Hell. Yes.
