Tafsir
Eating halal and clean from the sustenance that Allah has given to people means two things. The first is to earn halal sustenance without mixing haram in one's earnings, and without violating anyone's rights and laws.
In the second sense, it is the sustenance that Allah has made lawful for human beings according to His Shari'ah ruling.
Be grateful to Allah alone for His favors, if indeed you worship Him alone and do not associate partners with Him. To be grateful to Allah is to know oneself in one's helplessness. It is to know that he is in need of his Lord and is being fed by his Lord. People of faith fulfill their debt of gratitude by thanking Allah for the blessings He has bestowed upon them.
What is said in the video
We have come to Surah An-Nahl, verse 114.
Our Lord gives us so many parables. He gives examples. After these examples, look, what does the verse say? So eat of the provision Allah has given you, lawful and pure. That is, now know your Lord, and know by whom these provisions given to you were given, He says. If you truly worship Allah alone, then be grateful for His blessing, He says.
Today non-Muslims, when non-Muslims do something, they say: I did this. This is my right, they say. But he does not know: for this provision Allah Almighty has given him, even though you strove and obtained it yourself, thank the One who offered it and gave it to you at least once. Say: My Lord, all praise and glory be to You, You found me worthy of this and gave it to me. Yes.
Even as we sip this tea, when we remember those who migrated and are left outside in this cold, those who cannot find water, those who long for a sip of something warm, it won't go down our throats. Our eyes fill with tears.
This is what gratitude is. This too is a form of gratitude. Yes.
Eating lawful and pure of the provision Allah has given people has two meanings. First: earning by lawful means without mixing anything unlawful into one's earnings, and without violating anyone's rights and entitlements, with the provisions one has earned lawfully, eating from what is lawful. Yes.
In the second sense, they are the provisions which, by Allah's religious ruling, He has made lawful for people. The provisions He has made lawful for people. If you truly worship that one Allah and do not associate partners with Him, then for the blessings Allah has given, thank Allah alone. Thanking Allah is for a person to know himself to be helpless. It is knowing that one is someone in need of his Lord and nourished by his Lord. People of faith, before the blessings Allah has given them, say, while thanking Allah and (?) their debt. Yes.
