Translation

Then, the ones who commit evil due to ignorance and repent thereafter and straighten their situation, your Lord certainly (will forgive them).

Tafsir

People can commit evil in times of ignorance. The period of ignorance means the times of evil committed by people who have not embraced Islam, and the times of evil committed by people who have embraced Islam but have not complied with its conditions and have acted like a kufr. This time of ignorance can be at a young age or in old age. There is no time for ignorance, just as there is no time for ignorance, just as there is no time for repentance. One can repent at any moment. Seeing the evil that one has done and repenting of it leads to salvation and salvation.

If a person does evil, realizes what he has done, wakes up, repents, returns to his Lord, embraces Islam, and repents, Allah will forgive such people. Because Allah's forgiveness is abundant. His creatures are His servants. Since there is no other God but Him, it is not in Allah's honor to forgive those who seek forgiveness from Him. Allah is kind and merciful to His servants, and most merciful to those who call on Allah and serve Him.

What is said in the video

We have come to Surah An-Nahl, verse 119.

Surah An-Nahl, verse 119. Then surely your Lord, to those who do evil out of ignorance, and then afterwards repent and set their state right, will forgive. How beautifully it says it. In the first verse we spoke of, we said Allah Almighty created us incomplete. He created us fallible. Because, we said, He gave a part of His essence. We said He made us addressees of His essence. Had He created us without fault, He would have created a being equal to His essence. And Allah Almighty says this in His verse: If you had not committed errors on earth, We would destroy you and create servants who err, He says.

The meaning here: all beings are in need of Allah, the absolute Owner of the universe, and people will err, (?), not knowingly, of course. They do it knowingly too. They do it knowingly too. They do it unknowingly too. One will err, then: it was the time of ignorance. He had followed his nafs. He saw there is no other door to go to but my Lord. There is no other god who will forgive me either. What will he say then? O my great Lord, Owner of the worlds, Master of all people, Owner of the doors of mercy, my Lord. I was ignorant. I erred in the time of ignorance. But now I have understood that I am a sinner.

There is no other door to go to. There is no god to love other than You. And You greatly love forgiveness and mercy. You forgive the sins of those who turn to You. O Lord, for their sake, I too (?). Did you say it? Did you affirm it with your tongue and confirm it with your heart? Then it is impossible that your Lord would not forgive you. And then that sin is committed once more. But out of habit you committed it once more. You did not want to commit it, but you followed it again. And you push yourself; because you made it a habit, you strain against that sin so as not to commit it, until you end it, that is, until you are completely free of it; for that sin you commit now and then Allah will still forgive you.

But He knows: your Lord knows your heart in the best way. He knows that you are refraining from it. You will refrain. You will break free. And you strive for that. But if you do it out of habit, you feel great remorse. And again you strive not to do it again. Just as you made it a habit and committed it, from that habit you will break free and turn to the habit of never committing it again; since your Lord knows this, He forgives you until you refrain from that habit. Allah is Most Forgiving. This is where it comes out. Most Forgiving. Yes. The meanings of the verses.

Yes. What does verse 119 tell you? Then surely your Lord, to those who do evil out of ignorance and then afterwards repent and set their state right, will forgive. For after they repent, your Lord is surely Most Forgiving, Most Merciful. People may want evil in a time of ignorance. A time of ignorance means the times lived, with the evils wanted by those who have not entered Islam, by people who accepted Islam but did not keep its conditions, and who acted like unbelievers. This time of ignorance may be in youth. It may also be in old age.

Alhamdulillah. Since I did not hear it from you, let me say yerhamükellah myself. And let me say yehdîkümullah ve yuslihu bâleküm myself too. Yes.

This time of ignorance may be in youth, it may be in old age. Ignorance has no set time. Just as one may live a time of ignorance with evils at any moment, repentance has no set time either. A person can repent at any moment. Seeing the evils he has done and repenting brings a person to salvation and deliverance. So, one does evil, becomes aware of the evil he did, wakes up, feels remorse for these evils, returns to his Lord, is honored with the religion of Islam, and if he holds to tawhid, Allah forgives such people. For Allah's forgiveness is abundant. Those He created are His servants. Since there is no other god besides Him, it is not befitting Allah's majesty not to forgive one who asks Him for pardon and forgiveness.

Allah is compassionate and merciful toward His servants, and to the one who says Allah, who serves Him, He is Most Merciful.
