Tafsir
Allah (swt) gives the example of the Prophet of the past, Hazrat Ibrahim 'alaihis-salâm', saying that he was indeed a leader who turned towards the Truth and obeyed it, and that if his people and his family worshipped idols, Hazrat Ibrahim 'alaihis-salâm' did not worship idols even as a child, and he knew that idols, which are inanimate beings that do not know themselves, cannot create this universe, that there is a God who created it, including the idols, and he regretted that people worshipped idols in ignorance.
Finally, one day he broke all the idols and left the axe next to the great idol. His people returning from the fair or entertainment see that the idols are broken. They said that Ibrahim could have done this and threw him into the fire with a catapult. But Ibrahim, who surrendered to Allah, never compromised Allah against their words and Allah (swt) commanded the fire to be cool and peaceful. The middle of the fire turns into a garden of roses.
Those who submit to Allah, those who do not associate partners with Allah, those who know Allah as the Creator, those who realize that people will one day be held to account by the Owner of the Day of Reckoning, those who submit to Allah believing that every soul will be punished or rewarded for what it has done, the world and the Hereafter will be prosperous. It is enough to be protected by the owner of the universe and to set an example for human beings for the rest of the world.
Then people! They should surrender to Allah (swt) by breaking their egoistic feelings through their behavior and obedience to Allah (swt), by taking lessons from the examples and parables presented by Allah (swt).
What is said in the video
Surah An-Nahl, verse 120: Truly, Abraham was a leader turned to the Truth, obedient to Allah; he was. He was not of those who associate partners with Allah.
Abraham (peace be upon him) is a Hanif. Hanif means one who, even at a young age, does not follow the polytheists, who worships the one Allah.
Allah Almighty, by giving as an example the past prophet Abraham (peace be upon him), and saying he was truly a leader turned to the Truth, obedient: while his people and family worshipped idols, Abraham (peace be upon him) did not worship idols even as a child; he knew that idols, lifeless things unaware of themselves, would not create this universe, that there is one Allah who created all these, the idols included, and he grieved that people worshipped idols out of ignorance. It is very powerful. Yes. There is also the story of Abraham (peace be upon him) breaking these idols. We will open it up with the verses, inshallah.
Let's not tell it now. We will tell it when the verses come, inshallah. During a fair, he takes an axe in hand, breaks all the idols and leaves the axe beside the big idol. When they ask who broke these idols, they say there is a young man who keeps going on about our idols. If anyone did it, he did. Who is he? Abraham. They summon him. Did you break them, he says. Look, he says. The axe is beside the big idol, he says. Maybe, he says, this big idol broke them, he says. Well, he says, how could this lifeless thing break it, he says. Well then, he says, what kind of god is this, he says. How can you not mind this, he says.
How beautifully it says it. Yes. Allah Almighty, by giving as an example Abraham (peace be upon him), a prophet in past times, and saying he was truly a leader turned to the Truth, obedient: while his people and family worshipped idols, Abraham (peace be upon him) did not worship idols even as a child; he knew that idols, lifeless things unaware of themselves, could not create this universe, that there is one Allah who created all these, the idols included, and he grieved that people worshipped idols out of ignorance. Finally one day he breaks all the idols and leaves the axe beside the big idol.
His people, returning from the fair or festivities, see that the idols are broken. If anyone did this, it was Abraham, they say. And they throw Abraham (peace be upon him) into the fire with a catapult. But Abraham, who had surrendered to Allah, never gives way on Allah in the face of their words. And Allah Almighty says to the fire: be cool and safe. The middle of the fire turns into a garden of roses. Yes. Had He said only be cool, the cold would burn too, like heat. When He says cool and safe, to human life (?). For example, at minus 50 to 60 degrees, when a person holds iron with his hand, his hand peels on that iron. The skin sticks there.
So when He says be cool, coolness has no limit.
When He says safe, it has a limit. It is (?) to the human setting, to living. Yes.
So, for those who surrender to Allah, who do not associate partners with Allah, who know Allah as Creator, who realize that people will one day be called to account by the Owner of the Day of Reckoning, believing that every soul will receive its punishment or reward for what it did, people who submit to Allah: that their world and their hereafter flourish, that they are protected by the Owner of the universe, that they serve as an example to people as long as the world stands, is enough for a person. Therefore, people, in the face of the parables and findings Allah Almighty has brought, these examples presented, taking lessons, taking lessons from these examples presented, through their conduct and their obedience to Allah, breaking the desires of their nafs, must surrender to Allah.
There is no salvation apart from this. Yes.
