Translation

(Oh offspring of) Those whom We carried with Noah (on the ship)! You shall know that, Noah was a grateful servant.

Tafsir

Allah (swt) destroyed the descendants after our father Adam with a flood that He gave to Hazrat Noah (peace be upon him). Noah (peace be upon him) took a couple from every creature on board his ship, and the ship, consisting of believing people, floated on the water with the grace of Allah. Every side became a sea. Then the waters receded and the ship settled on Mount Judi. Humans were fed and multiplied by the grace of Allah and today's human beings came into existence. Allah (swt) is addressing the people, reminding them of the flood of Noah and saying that the descendants of the people who were in the ark after the flood should know that Noah was a very grateful servant, and He is showing the situation of Noah (peace be upon him) as an example to the people.

Hadrat Noah 'alaihis-salâm' lived among his people for nine hundred and sixty years and no one believed in Noah 'alaihis-salâm'. Except a few people. However, Hadrat Noah never inclined towards his people who did not believe in him, and although he was alone among his people, he always remembered Allah and praised and thanked Him. In this respect, Hazrat Noah was a Prophet who was exalted in the sight of Allah and who attained the pleasure of Allah through his life, which set an example for people until the Day of Judgment.

What is said in the video

Those We carried in the ship with Noah, their descendants. Those We carried in the ship with Noah, their descendants. Why does it say this? O descendants of those We carried in the ship with Noah. Know that Noah was a most grateful servant. Now, people descended from Adam like this. Where did Noah come from? Where did he come from? Although people descended from Adam, in Noah's time, when those who did not believe in Noah multiplied, the earth, the earth was filled with rebellion. They did not recognize Allah. Noah lived among his people for 900 years. 900 years. From father to son, from son to son, about Noah: this man won't die; we have it as a testament from our father's father's father: never believe this man, they used to say.

Upon this, Allah Almighty has Noah build a ship, those who believe in him and a pair of each of the animals fill the ship, and the others He destroys. So after that, after Adam, the descent of people is from Noah. That's why Allah Almighty says: O descendants of those We carried in the ship with Noah. Look what a beautiful thing it says. The people who descended from that generation. Now know that Noah was a most grateful servant, it says. The generation that descended after our father Adam, Allah Almighty, with a flood He gave Noah (peace be upon him), destroyed. The ship, made up of a pair of every creature Noah (peace be upon him) took on board and of believing people, moved upon the water with the flood by Allah's grace. Everywhere became sea.

Then, as the waters receded, the ship settled on Mount Judi. As people were nourished by Allah's grace and multiplied, today's people came into being. So Allah Almighty, addressing people, recalling Noah, Noah's flood: the people descended from the offspring of those who were in the ship after that flood should know well that Noah was a most grateful servant; by declaring this, He holds up the state of Noah (peace be upon him) to people as an example. Noah (peace be upon him) lived among his people for 960 years, and no one believed in Noah (peace be upon him). Except a few; but Noah never, toward his people who did not believe in him, inclined; though left alone among his people, he was constantly in remembrance of Allah and in praise and glorification of Him.

Therefore Noah (peace be upon him) is, exalted in Allah's knowledge, and with a life that sets an example for people until the Day of Judgement, having attained Allah's good pleasure, a prophet. Yes. Noah (peace be upon him).

Yes.
