If you commit good, you will have done it for yourselves and if you commit evil, you will have committed it against yourselves. When the time for the other (punishment) comes, they will darken your faces, enter the Masjid (of Solomon) just as they did before, and they will destroy everything that they will touch (and be upon you).
Tafsir
Allah (swt) has left people free in their will. He has given the wills of people as their destiny. As the Creator, God does not need anything.
But the whole universe is Allah's creation, in need.
Whoever does good and avoids evil does it to himself, and whoever does evil and avoids good does it to his own soul. What people earn is the reward of their own two hands. Accordingly, whoever does an iota of good deeds will be written down and will be rewarded in the sight of Allah in His favor. And whoever commits an iota of evil, it will be written down and recorded as a crime against him in the sight of Allah.
Accordingly, every soul will surely be rewarded for what it has done. When the time comes for the other punishment, let them disgrace you. That is to say, humiliate you and make you despicable (We have put your enemies in your heads so that they may enter Al-Aqsa Mosque and destroy it as they did before). The people of Beni Israel became spoiled again and disobeyed Allah and martyred Zakariyya and Yahya (peace be upon them). Because of this second rebellion, Allah (swt) sent upon them a Babylonian ruler named (Hardun) or (Cerdus). They took revenge for the deaths of these distinguished Prophets. They destroyed the homes of the Children of Israel and left them in ruins.
According to another narration, Constantine, the Greek ruler, took revenge on them and defeated them.
(So when the time of the other punishment comes, they will make your faces black,) Allah (swt) says in His verse that Allah (swt) informs them of the time when they will suffer a third punishment. They suffered two punishments (two times they would violate the provisions of the Torah, the first time by slaughtering Sha'ya and imprisoning Jeremiah, who cursed the Children of Israel and asked Allah to punish them. The second was the murder of Zakariyya and Yahya (peace be upon them) and the assassination of Jesus (peace be upon him). (When the time of the next punishment comes, the time of the third punishment, which has not yet come. A people will come upon them and they will be humiliated and disgraced in the earth. The meaning of "their faces will be black" is that this will happen close to the Day of Judgment. They will die in that state without repenting from the defeat they suffered in their rebellion, and the Day of Resurrection will come before their faces turn to Allah, the Most Merciful, and they will pass on to the Hereafter with black faces.
What is said in the video
If you do good – Surah Al-Isra, verse 7 – if you do good, you do it for yourselves; if you do evil, you also do it against yourselves. Then, when the time of the other punishment comes, let them blacken your faces. Look, it says the second time of punishment. Look, what does it say now? Then, when the time of the other punishment comes, let them blacken your faces. Just as they entered before, they will again enter the mosque, the Temple of Solomon, and everything that falls into their hands they will utterly destroy. (?), they will be set upon you, it says. Again He will set a cruel people upon them.
Yes. Of course. A Muslim would not ravage Masjid al-Aqsa. Look, what does the verse say? They will enter the Mosque of Solomon, his temple, and everything that falls into their hands they will (?) destroy. They will be set upon you, it says.
Allah Almighty has left people free in their will. He has given people their own wishes as their destiny.
Allah, as the Creator, needs nothing. But the whole universe, being in need, is Allah's creation. One of the attributes of Allah Almighty is Al-Hayy. What is the attribute Hayy? He from whom all His creatures receive life, but who has no need of His creatures, and who is beyond time and place. The attribute Hayy. So whoever does good and guards against evil does it for himself. And whoever does evil and does not come near good does it against his own self. What people earn is the return of their own two hands. Accordingly, whoever does an atom's weight of good, it is recorded, and in his favor, in Allah's sight, he attains rewards. And whoever does an atom's weight of evil, that too is recorded.
In Allah's sight it is recorded against the person as an offense. Accordingly, every soul will surely see the recompense of what it has done. When the time of the other punishment comes, let them blacken your faces. That is, let them humiliate you. Let them bring you into a lowly state. So that they would enter Masjid al-Aqsa and scatter it as they went before, upon you We set your enemies. The Children of Israel grew arrogant again. They rebelled against Allah and martyred Zechariah and John (peace be upon them). Because of this second rebellion of theirs, Allah Almighty set upon them Hardun or Cerdüs, the ruler of Babylon.
They took revenge for these distinguished prophets whom they had killed. They laid waste the homeland of the Children of Israel and left. According to another report, Constantine, the Roman ruler, took revenge on them and defeated them. These are reports. We say that its time has not yet come. It will come. These are reports. And because they know this, they are building shelters underground. According to the verse that says, When the time of the other punishment comes, let them blacken your faces, Allah Almighty announces a time when they will suffer a third punishment, it says. Here the second, in one sense, is a third punishment they will suffer.
According to the verse it refers to, Allah Almighty announces the time when they will suffer a third punishment. They have suffered two punishments. That they would oppose the rulings of the Torah twice: the first, their killing Isaiah (peace be upon him) and imprisoning Jeremiah, who cursed the Children of Israel, asking Allah to punish them; the second, their killing Zechariah and John (peace be upon them) and their attempt on the life of Jesus (peace be upon him).
In return for these deeds, they were defeated twice. When the time of the other punishment comes (?) is this third time of punishment, which has not yet appeared. A people will be set upon them and will make them lowly and abased on earth. Their faces will be black. The meaning tells that this will be a time close to the Last Day. That this people, in their rebellion, without repenting of the defeat they suffered, in that state will die; without turning their faces to Allah, who accepts repentance again and again, the Last Day will come, and with black faces they will pass into the Hereafter. Yes.
