Translation

Those who have chosen the path of guidance have chosen it for their own good. Those who have chosen to go astray have gone astray against their benefit. No sinner will take on themselves the sins of someone else. We won’t punish (anyone) without sending a Prophet.

Tafsir

Allah (swt) has left people free in their will. Therefore, whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger, believes in the Hereafter, and chooses the path of guidance, the straight path, the path of mustaqim, which Allah has shown, has chosen it for his own soul. Such behavior of these people is good for their own souls. And whoever deviates from the truth, does not obey Allah and His Messenger and does not believe in the Hereafter, he has deviated to his own detriment. The good and evil deeds of men do not reach Allah (swt). That is, Allah does not need good deeds. Nor is there any harm done to Allah by bad behavior. What everyone does is for himself. He who does good will be rewarded and he who does evil will be punished. And no sinner bears the burden of another. In other words, if I am a sinner, I cannot sell my sin to someone else and go to paradise, nor can I buy paradise in exchange for material goods. Everyone will be sent to their rightful places in return for what they have earned in this world.

Allah does not hold anyone responsible for what He has not announced. He does not torment anyone unless He sends a Prophet to a town. Therefore, if people disobey Allah (swt) and deny His Prophets, even though Allah (swt) has revealed His commands to His creatures, they will be persecuted in this world and in the Hereafter and will suffer the consequences of their actions.

What is said in the video

Surah Al-Isra, verse 15: Whoever chooses the path of guidance — look how beautifully it says it. These superstitions — I speak about them with a burning heart. What does Allah Almighty say? Whoever chooses the path of guidance. It does not say: whomever I choose the path of guidance for. Look, pay attention. He leaves the person free in his own will. Whoever chooses the path of guidance chooses it only for his own good. And whoever strays from the right, strays to his own harm. Well, now I ask: where is Allah's willing left over these? Where is it?

These are people of such shallow thinking that the verses they don't even understand, and falsely, falsely, tying this to Allah's willing, they interpret the verse like this. Judgment belongs to Allah alone, they say. Why do they say it? You know, Allah will put whom He wills into paradise, whom He wills into hell. Judgment belongs to Allah alone, they say.

These wretched people who quote the verse only in part and mislead people on the right path, in the middle of the straight road, then make themselves believe this falsehood, this superstition they have spoken. And I say: the whole verse is not like that. According to what you say — judgment is not Allah's alone; as long as I live, judgment is mine alone. Only yours, the judgment of you living people. The reason: if I do not judge with my will, if I do not decide with my will and carry out deeds, if the rewards and sins I did with my own hand I do not shoulder myself but pin them on Allah, would that befit these verses?

Would I not be ascribing it to Allah? So when is judgment Allah's? The verse is like this: On that day judgment belongs to Allah alone. What does this mean? The Last Day will break out on earth. We will be resurrected in the realm of the hereafter. That Great Court will be set up. Eleysallâhu bi-ahkemi'l-hâkimîn — Allah, the Judge of judges, when He calls those people to account, now pay attention, on that day, it says, look, on that day judgment belongs to Allah alone. He has neither spouse nor partner. Nor is there anyone to judge in His place. So on that day judgment belongs to Allah alone. Don't quote it only in part and say judgment belongs to Allah alone.

Yes.

Do you understand that people speak falsely? Yes. That is, your (?) too, and your ulema too.

Whoever chooses the path of guidance chooses it only for his own good. And whoever strays from the right, strays to his own harm. No sinner bears the burden of another's sin. We will not punish anyone until We send a prophet. In another verse also: for a thing We have not (?), We call no one to account. The verses all confirm one another.

Allah Almighty has left people free in their own will. Therefore, whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger, believes in the hereafter, and the perfectly straight path that Allah shows, the path of guidance, the sırat-ı müstakim, chooses — he has chosen it for his own self. Such conduct of these people is, for their own selves, a good. And whoever strays from the right, does not obey Allah and His Messenger and does not believe in the hereafter, he too strays to his own harm. The good and evil people do do not reach Allah Almighty. What of ours reaches Him? What of ours reaches Him? Our going before our Lord with our rewards and sins — that reaches Him.

According to what? According to His verse: Every soul shall taste death, and your return is to Me.

Then, to the person who inclines toward the world and, as if he would never die, shoulders the world and turns his back on the hereafter, what does Allah Almighty say?

Every soul shall taste death. The inheritance of the heavens and the earth will remain with Allah. How beautifully He says it. Because Allah, the Creator, with what He created, will again remain to Himself. Or do you own a single atom of your world, it says. If it were so, it says, from your world not even (?) a seed, nothing at all would be given to you. If you had been able to create one atom, you would have created your other needs too, and I would have given you nothing from the world, it says. So we, who cannot grasp the secret of creation — I call out from here to the simple minds. Inventions do not mean creating.

So-and-so created so-and-so, so-and-so created such-and-such. These are inventions. It is their finding knowledge from the visible materials Allah created. Knowledge. What is creating? It is, in the universe, a matter apart from what Allah Almighty created being created. Here people cannot succeed. So in this case, since man cannot grasp the secret of creation, with the rewards and sins they have done, with the materials Allah created, they will be called to account. In this case, whoever turns his back on Allah and acts outside His command has wronged his own self.

And we say Allah Almighty has left people free in their own will. Therefore, whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger, believes in the hereafter, and the perfectly straight path that Allah shows, the path of guidance, the sırat-ı müstakim, chooses — for his own self he has chosen it. Such conduct of these people is, for their own selves, a good. And whoever strays from the right, does not obey Allah and His Messenger and does not believe in the hereafter, he too strays to his own harm. The good and evil people do do not reach Allah Almighty. That is, Allah neither needs good, nor can you harm Allah with a bad deed.

Yes.

What each one does is for himself. Whoever does good deserves reward; whoever does evil deserves (?) punishment. And no sinner bears another's burden. That is, if I am a sinner, if I am a sinner, by selling my sin to someone else, to paradise I cannot go. Nor can I buy paradise in exchange for material things. Not while in the world, though. This is in the hereafter. No sinner, it says, bears the burden of any sinner. Where? In the hereafter.

On what basis do we say this? What do we say here? And no sinner bears another's burden. That is, if I am a sinner, I cannot enter paradise by selling my sin to someone else, or buy paradise in exchange for material things. On what basis do we say it? They, it says — not one world's worth. If they had another world's worth, they would give it as ransom, give it to Allah as ransom, and want to be saved, it says. Yes. So with your goods in the world, your property, your children, your family — in the hereafter, you saying to your Lord, I had such goods, I had property, if I gave You these now could I enter Your paradise — there is no such claim.

The reason? The things in the world were not yours either; they were each a trust I had given you. Why did I give them? I sustained you in the world with this trust. The deeds you did and the rewards and sins you committed I wrote into your record, it says. In this case, who are you selling your goods to, and whose goods are you buying from whom?

Yes. Allah Almighty says: He holds no one responsible for (?). He punishes no one unless He has sent a prophet to a land. So, although Allah Almighty has made His commands known to those He created, if people oppose Allah and deny His prophets, in this world and the hereafter they will suffer wrong and pay for what they did. Yes.
