Translation

Verily, those who spend wastefully are the friends of the Shaytan. And Shaytan is ungrateful towards Allah, their Lord.

Tafsir

Those who are wasteful, who squander their wealth unnecessarily. They are ungrateful for the blessings Allah (swt) has bestowed upon them. However, when Allah (swt) bestows a blessing on a person, the person should praise Allah (swt) and say, "O Lord, you have not made me in need of a servant. You have bestowed upon me out of Your grace and kindness. Make me grateful to You for these favors You have given me and make me worthy of these favors, and do not make me accountable for them. One should be thankful to Allah (swt). If a person does not remember the giver of these blessings and wastes the blessings that Allah has given, it shows that such people are not thankful to Allah (swt).

Since Satan has been expelled from the presence of Allah, he is never grateful for Allah's blessings. He eats and drinks and wastes and wastes. Because he is rebellious against Allah and has demanded a lifetime until the Day of Judgment. In this respect, he thinks that he is taking revenge on Allah by not being grateful for His blessings, supposedly in spite of Allah. The poor man does not know that he will be held accountable for what he has done and will suffer eternal torment.

And whoever follows this way of Satan and wastes his wealth unnecessarily, these are the friends of the devils. Satan is very ungrateful to his Lord.

What is said in the video

We have come to Surah Al-Isra, verse 27.

For those who squander like this are friends of the devils. And the devil is very ungrateful to his Lord.

Those who waste, who needlessly squander what they have, act with ingratitude toward the blessings Allah Almighty has given these people. Yet if Allah Almighty has granted a person a blessing, the person should, giving praise and thanks to Allah Almighty, say: O Lord, You did not make me dependent on the unworthy; from Your essence and Your generosity You have been bountiful to me; for these blessings You have given me, make me thankful to You and worthy of these blessings, and do not call me to account for them. How well Abraham, too, took care of the blessings Allah had given. Yes. If a person scatters what is in his hand, in his palm, then, as if saying: I have no need of the blessings You gave, he falls into the state of an ingrate.

And then, holding out his palm to this one and that, he rebels against Allah.

One must give thanks to Allah Almighty. If a person does not remember who gives these blessings and squanders Allah's blessings to the winds, it shows that such people do not give thanks to Allah Almighty either. They fall into the state of rebels against Allah Almighty.

Because the devil was driven out of Allah's presence, he never gives thanks for the blessings Allah gives. He is constantly in bounty. He eats, drinks, squanders and wastes. Why? Because he asked Allah Almighty for a lifespan until the Day of Judgement, a lifespan. Anyway, I'll live until then, he says. He will feed me and give me drink, he says. so in this situation he squanders and wastes. And he commands people to do this too. Scatter and squander. What's the point? Are you everlasting in this world? Eat, drink, roam. Got it? Yes.

Because Allah — he is a rebel against Allah and has demanded a lifespan until the Day of Judgement. For this reason, supposedly spiting Allah by not giving thanks for the blessings He gives, he thinks he is taking revenge on Allah. The wretch does not know that, called to account for what he did, he will remain subject to eternal punishment. So whoever takes this path of the devil and squanders his wealth needlessly, these are friends of the devils. And the devil is very ungrateful to his Lord. Yes.
