Translation

All of these things are evil and are unwelcome in the sight of your Lord (Allah).

Tafsir

Allah (swt) has enumerated in the Qur'an what is good and bad and what people should and should not do. The bad ones are disliked in the sight of Allah (swt). From the twenty-second verse of this Surah to the thirty-eighth verse, Allah (swt) informs us about twenty-five traits and what to do and what not to do. Thirteen of these are commanded to be done and their observance is our salvation and bliss.

Twelve of these are forbidden. What is commanded:

1- To worship Allah alone.

2- To show kindness to parents.

3- Speaking good words.

4- Being humble towards parents.

5- Asking for mercy for parents.

6- Respecting people's rights.

7- Helping the needy.

8- Helping the helpless travelers.

9- If you are unable to help the needy, say a kind word to them.

10- Giving punishment to the parents of those who are killed unjustly.

11- Honoring one's covenant.

12- Observing the measurements.

13- Weighing with the right scales.

What is forbidden:

1- To have no gods other than Allah (swt).

2- Worshipping none but Allah (swt).

3- Not even saying 'Ouch' to parents.

4- Not to insult them by opposing what they say.

5- Not wasting wealth.

6- Not to be stingy.

7- Not wasting your hand too much.

8- Not killing children.

9- Not taking the lives of innocent people.

10- Not to go too far in retaliation against the murderer.

11- Do not pursue what you do not know about.

12- Not to walk around the earth boasting.

Allah (swt) says: "The evil of all these things is disliked in the sight of your Lord". If a person does something that Allah (swt) dislikes, he will surely earn sin. Allah does not love a person who earns sin.

What is said in the video

We have come to Surah Al-Isra, verse 38. All of these things listed – the bad ones among them are, in your Lord's sight, disliked.

How beautifully Allah Almighty speaks.

There is no open side toward people at all. The Word is so beautiful. Look what it says. This is what the Word is. All of these listed – the bad ones are disliked in your Lord's sight. As a Muslim, I may have these traits. As long as I have the light of faith in me, I am not a kafir. But as long as I have these traits, in my Lord's sight I become a disliked person. That is, I become a sinner. How beautifully it puts it. It does not make me a kafir, look. I mean, the words are so beautiful. One is simply filled with admiration. For the words. For Allah's Word. Yes. Allah Almighty has listed the good and the bad, what people are to do and not to do, in the clear Quran.

And the bad ones among these listed are disliked in the sight of Allah Almighty. Allah Almighty, from verse 22 of this surah up to verse 38, has given us information about 25 traits, about what is to be done and not done.

Thirteen of these are commanded to be done. Observing these is safety and happiness for us.

And twelve of them are forbidden. Now we list the commanded ones. 1. Worshipping Allah Almighty alone. 2. Doing good to mother and father. 3. Speaking with kind words. 4. Being humble toward mother and father. 5. Asking for mercy for mother and father. 6. Respecting people's rights. 7. Helping those in need. 8. Helping helpless travellers too. 9. If you are in no position to help those in need, speaking heart-winning words to them. 10. Giving the guardians of those killed wrongfully the right to punishment. 11. Keeping one's covenant. 12. Observing the measures. 13. Weighing with a true scale. The forbidden ones, we now list: 1. Not taking a god other than Allah Almighty. 2.

Not worshipping anyone other than Allah Almighty. 3. Not even saying "uff" to mother and father. 4. Not opposing what they say and insulting them. 5. Not squandering wealth. 6. Not being stingy. 7. Not opening the hand too wide and squandering. 8. Not killing children. 9. Not taking the lives of innocent people. 10. Not going too far in retribution against the killer. 11. Not pursuing that of which you have no knowledge. 12. Not walking on the earth in arrogance. So, Allah Almighty: all of these listed – the bad ones are a disliked (?) in your Lord's sight. If a person does something Allah Almighty does not love, he surely earns sin.

And Allah does not love a person who earns sin. Yes.
