These are wisdoms that your Lord has revealed to you. Do not adopt a deity other than Allah; otherwise, you will be thrown to hell, condemned and distanced (from Allah’s Mercy).
Tafsir
Allah (swt) revealed to the heart of the Prophet (s.a.w.), as we have explained in the previous verse, that people are commanded to keep accurate measurements, not to cheat in the scales, to spread justice in the land, to look after the property of the orphan, and to obey the commands and prohibitions of Allah (swt).
It has been declared since the time of Hazrat Adam (peace be upon him) that there is no other god but Allah (swt). Allah is the Creator of all these worlds and created them out of nothing. There is no other deity besides Him. Allah (swt) says in one of His verses, "If there were another deity besides Allah, He would take what He created and the other would take what He created and the world would be in chaos". Allah has neither children nor wives. He has no need for such things. He is one. He is the Self-subsistent. All creation is in need of Allah. Allah does not need anything.
So do not take other gods besides Allah. On the Day of Judgment, when Allah's mercy is removed from people on the Day of Reckoning, they will be left alone. They will find that the gods they worshipped will not benefit them. They will be left there alone and without an intercessor. Then, condemned, they will be addressed by men and angels, and did not the Prophets come to you and convey the Truth to you? Did you not hear of the existence and oneness of Allah? And they will say that they have heard. When they realize that there is no salvation, they will humble themselves before angels and people and become despondent. Such people are thrown into hell by the angels in charge.
What is said in the video
We have come to verse 39 of Surah Al-Isra. "These are the wisdoms your Lord has revealed to you," it says. We finished that part, right. These are the wisdoms your Lord has revealed to you.
Pay attention to the verses, gentlemen. What does it say? These are the wisdoms your Lord has revealed to you. What was revelation? We will open this up now. Some verses that are wrongly explained, we will now (?) open up.
Allah Almighty, who is beyond time and space, making the verses known to the one within time and space, our Lord's prophet, by way of communication. Verses. Making known the verses of the Quran. Am I the one saying it here? No. Look what it says. These are the wisdoms your Lord has revealed to you. What was revelation? That Allah Almighty, who is beyond time and space, makes known to the heart of the Prophet (peace be upon him), by way of communication, the verses – that is revelation. In that case, the Prophet – did Allah raise him? Did Allah teach him? Or did Gabriel teach him? With what conscience do you say that Gabriel taught him?
With what conscience do you say it? You knowingly deny the verses. If you do it knowingly, you are a kafir. If instead you say it without thinking, you are a sinner. Learn. Learn. "Gabriel taught him."
Gabriel only brings the revelation. If you understand the one who brings the revelation as the one who revealed it, you are like a bird flying with one wing. You are like a bird flying with one wing. Bringing the revelation is one thing. Revealing is another. Revealing belongs to Allah alone. The Quran is a revelation. At Sidrat al-Muntaha, to the place Qadr, it descended all at once on that 27th night of Ramadan. The revelation: Gabriel (peace be upon him), as far as our Lord permitted, would take the surah from there and recite it to the Prophet. What was it? The Quran is a revelation. From the Preserved Tablet, all together, at Sidrat al-Muntaha, to a station called Qadr it descended.
In that case, since the Quran is a revelation – is it, as far as our Lord permitted, Gabriel (peace be upon him) taking from there whatever of the surahs he was to recite and reciting it to the Prophet – is that revealing, you ignorant man?
Then if you ask me why he recites: the confirmation of the revelation He revealed came about by Gabriel (peace be upon him) reciting it to him. Confirmation. For this reason the Prophet says, "Gabriel's reciting pleased me very much." Yes, it does not mean that Gabriel taught him; these points must be sorted out very well, one must know them. "These are the wisdoms your Lord has revealed to you," it says. "Do not take another god along with Allah, or else you will be thrown into Hell, blamed and driven away from Allah's mercy," it says. Yes.
Allah Almighty, in what He revealed to the heart of the Prophet (peace be upon him), as we explained in the previous verse, has commanded people to keep the measure true, not to cheat on the scales, to spread justice on earth, to look after the orphan's property, and to comply with Allah Almighty's (?). That there is no other god besides Allah Almighty, He has been making known since Adam (peace be upon him). Allah is the one who created all these worlds, who brought them from nothing into being. There is no other god with Him. Allah Almighty says in a verse: "Had there been another god with Allah, the one would take what it created, the other would take what it created, and everything would sink into corruption," He states.
Allah Almighty has neither children nor wives. He has no need of such things. He is One, self-subsisting. All created things are in need of Allah. Whereas Allah needs nothing.
So do not take gods other than Allah. On the Day of Resurrection, on that day of reckoning, when Allah's mercy is lifted from people, a person is left alone there.
They see that the gods they worshipped are of no use to them either. There they are left both alone and without intercession. Then, in a state of blame, being addressed by people and angels: "Did prophets not come to you and deliver the truth? Did you not hear of Allah's existence and oneness?" they will say. And they will say, "We heard." When they realise there is no salvation either, abased before angels and people, they fall into despair. Such people are thrown into Hell by the angels in charge.
"They," He says, "will throw themselves face down on the ground." Their eyes will bulge out, sky blue. "And We," He says, "will call the guards of Hell. We will have them seized by their forelocks and thrown in through one of the gates of Hell," He says. There is no way out. Yes.
