We know their intention when they listen to you and that those oppressors whisper to each other, saying; “You are following none but a bewitched man”.
Tafsir
As Allah (swt) has programmed all beings, He has also programmed human beings according to His will. Therefore, He knows what people will do and for what purpose. When the polytheists listen to the Prophet (SAW), their aim is not to listen to the Prophet (SAW), but to malign him to the people, and since their ears are blocked against the word of the Truth and their hearts are closed against the Truth, they do not understand what the Prophet (SAW) is saying, and in this state they are ridiculous. Moreover, they distort the words of the Prophet (s.a.w.) and say to the people in front of them that you are doing nothing but following a bewitched person. When they talk in whispers amongst themselves, they do not hesitate to be arrogant towards them, giving themselves pride and greatness and belittling the believers. Allah (swt) is well aware of their behavior and knows what they will do, not only them, but also those who will come after them until the Day of Resurrection. If only people could know the attributes of Allah's Godhood. They would clean up their behavior when they sit and talk among themselves. When they are alone, they would know that Allah is aware of their situation, they would behave in a good manner, and they would be proud of Allah. By refraining from committing immoral acts, they would know that Allah sees them and the worlds at every moment, and they would submit to Allah and pay homage to Allah and His Creator.
But people who are the opposite of that. Those who do not believe in God, as if no one sees them, when they are alone, they make plans about people, especially about people whom they will turn against others. They set ambushes. They think that only they know what they are doing. They do not remember Allah (swt). They are unaware of Allah's existence. They act as if Allah does not see them. They live far away from Allah. These are in a state of great heedlessness. If they continue in this state and pass on to the Hereafter in this way, they will face a painful torment and become eternal inhabitants of Hell.

Surah Al-Isra, verse 47, the noble verse: When they listen to you, with what purpose they listen, and, as they whisper among themselves, that those wrongdoers say, "You follow none but a bewitched man" – We know this very well, it says.
What are they saying? Why do they call the Prophet a bewitched person? They say: Abu Talib's orphan, his uncle Abu Talib's orphan,
otherwise unlettered, he knows nothing. In this situation those deniers, those whose hearts are veiled, do not believe in Allah's verses. About us too they say the same thing: "What education? What education does he have?" they say. These people,
if they knew that the greatest seal of a diploma is a diploma given by Allah, and they would ask about the education of Ahmet and Mehmet. Then what would they ask? They would look at the word coming out of his mouth. At the word of the Truth. Yes. These are the ones with pride and arrogance in their hearts, who imagine they have knowledge and pass judgment with superstitions, who (?) the verses like this, who teach people superstitions and raise objections against Allah and His Messenger – now I am telling you the verse: Let them prepare their place in Hell, it says. Let them prepare their place in the Fire, it says.

Accordingly, those who say "I am a scholar" should listen well.
They need to learn. This matter is not solved with Arabic. If you solved this matter with Arabic, for 200 years, for 170 years, you would not have brought falsehoods into this Quran. If you solved this matter with Arabic, you would not ascribe attributes to Allah like this. So listen well.

We know very well with what purpose they listen when they listen to you, and that, as among themselves they whisper, those wrongdoers say, "You follow none but a bewitched man," it says. Just as Allah Almighty programmed all beings, He has also, according to their own wishes, programmed people. Therefore He knows what people will do and with what purpose people will undertake which deeds. When the polytheists listened to the Prophet (peace be upon him), their aim was not to listen to the Prophet (peace be upon him) but to disparage him to people; and since their ears are blocked to the word of the Truth and their hearts are closed to the truth, what the Prophet (peace be upon him) says they do not understand, and in this condition they fall into a noisy state. Moreover, distorting the words of the Prophet (peace be upon him), to the people before them, "You do nothing but follow a bewitched person" – they do not refrain from saying this too.
And when they talk whispering among themselves, giving themselves pride and grandeur, they look down on the believers.
They do not refrain from acting arrogantly toward them. But Allah Almighty knows these states of theirs very well, and not only theirs: He is the One who knows what the people coming after them until the Day of Judgment will do. If only people could know Allah's attributes of divinity! When sitting and talking with one another, they would put their conduct in order. And when alone, they know that Allah is aware of their states, they behave well; they are those who feel shame before Allah. Avoiding immoral acts, they know that Allah sees them and the worlds at every moment, they submit to Allah, and toward Allah, their Creator, they show reverence.
But the people who (?) this, those who do not believe in Allah, as if no one saw them, when they are alone, about people, and especially about others to whom they will be hostile, plans are prepared. They lay ambushes. They think only they themselves know these states of theirs. They do not remember Allah, the Most Glorious and Most Holy. They are unaware of Allah's existence. They behave as if Allah does not see them. They live far from Allah. These are in great heedlessness. Continuing in these states, when they pass on to the hereafter like this, they meet a painful punishment. They become eternal people of Hell.
