Translation

She had placed a veil between her and them. Then, We sent Our Spirit to her, and He appeared as a perfect man.

Tafsir

The altar that Zakariyya 'alaihis-salâm' had allocated to Hadrat Maryam was in a high place. It was in this place where she worshipped and which was reserved only for Maryam, away from people and her family, in a place of seclusion, that is, devoted to Allah and away from people. While she was in this state, Allah sent His spirit to Maryam. People perceive the spirit here as Jibril Amin. Jibril Amin is not a spirit, nor is Ruhullah. Jibril Amin is referred to as Jibril in the Holy Quran. If it were Jibril Amin, Allah says that men and women should not be together and if they are strangers to each other, they are mahrams. If it were Jibril Amin, it would also contradict Allah's verse on hijab. Because some people imagine angels as having a gender. However, angels have no gender.

Another meaning is that Gabriel comes to Prophets and brings revelation. Since there can be no Prophet from a woman, and since Jibril Amin came to Hadrat Maryam, is Hadrat Maryam a Prophet? Also another meaning; There are no questions that do not come to the human mind. Another question may come to mind here. Even though Gabriel brought Allah's command to Maryam, did he get pregnant after being together with her? Allah is free from imperfect attributes? It removes any questions that people may have. If Allah says, "We sent our spirit to Maryam and it appeared to her in the form of a human being," then Allah sent a spirit of His spirit to Maryam and gave her the good news that she would become pregnant. If a wise person can be seen in several places at once and be present at different banquets, this is not difficult for Allah. This is because Allah is the attribute of the totality and He is aware by means of the totality. The meaning of "completely" here is the appearance of Allah (swt) in His attribute of Jemal when He addresses the spirits as "I am your Lord" when they are in the state of spirits in the address (Elestu bi Rabbikum).

What is said in the video

We left off at verse 17 of Surah Maryam.

Verse 17 of Surah Maryam: Mary drew a screen between herself and them. That is, she separated and in the church, in the synagogue, to a place she withdrew. Then We sent her Our spirit, and it appeared to her in the form of a perfect human, it says.

Now, of Surah Maryam, of Surah Maryam, what were we saying from the book? Look at me. In the other one. Okay. First, let us look here at Surah Maryam.

Mary drew a screen between herself and them; then We sent her Our spirit, and it appeared to her in the form of a perfect human, it says. In its explanation it says this: According to the majority of the commentators here — commentators. That is, who are they? The translators. You know, those who know Arabic very well and say 'I am a scholar'.

They say the spirit in the verse means Gabriel (peace be upon him). Gabriel (peace be upon him).

Yet what did we say before? The word of Allah Almighty is founded on truths. Allah Almighty calls Gabriel Gabriel, and says to Gabriel and Michael and (?). Isn't that so? Whoever is an enemy to them, they are an enemy to Allah too, it says. They explained it wrongly like that anyway. Allah is an enemy to them, it says. In this case it has been interpreted as 'to the east side of Mary's house'. For this reason it is stated that the Christians turned to the east as their qibla. This is not important. What is important is that the spirit, to Gabriel (peace be upon him), sir, is attributed (?). Now, we said Allah Almighty is the universal spirit, and from within it He gave a part to man.

Man was created as the exact likeness of his Lord. And Allah Almighty created man honoured above the worlds. Because man too has a spirit, and He made man the one His essence addresses. As the other sophistries say, that the spirit is not in cats, dogs, animals, and that in this way the spirit called the holy spirit is only Allah Almighty, (?). Those who ask you about the spirits, say: it is a command of my Lord, it says. A command of my Lord. Pay attention to 'a command of my Lord'. A command of my Lord. So if the universal spirit, from the universal spirit, (?) created the Prophet, if from the Prophet's spirit, from the prophetic spirit, He created the spirits of the prophets, if from the prophets' spirits He created the spirits of their peoples, since the universal spirit is Allah Almighty, if the spirit is a command of His, then His own spirit, whenever He wishes, He sends His essence wherever He wishes.

As a part of His essence. As a part of His essence He sends it wherever He wishes. In this case. This is not Gabriel. It is Allah Almighty Himself. And what does it say? It appeared in the form of a perfect human. Now, does Gabriel change form? I am asking. Does Gabriel change form? If it appeared in the form of a perfect human, since the universal spirit is Allah Almighty, since He said 'however you know Me, I am a (?) of that, and a (?) of that, and a (?) of that', and since He changes shape through form, the spirit He sent here is, from the Lord's essence, His sending a command from Himself.

Every person performs the prayer. At the same moment millions of people perform the prayer. Isn't that so, Muslims? all of them in ascension, in the presence of their Lord, all of them; in this case, if Allah Almighty, as we imagine, is single in His essence, if He is only in one place, in one location, how does the governing of so many worlds and the standing of so many people in the presence of His essence happen? So when each person stands for prayer, that he is in the presence of Allah Almighty, even if as a part of His essence, that His essence, from His essence, is before people — how beautifully it expresses this to us. So if He sent a part of His essence to Mary, if it appeared in the form of a perfect human, and since Gabriel (peace be upon him) cannot change form — he cannot change form.

In this case it is Allah Almighty (?) Himself. This is the first. Second, if Gabriel (peace be upon him) had appeared to her as they say, although angels are beyond gender, as the Meccan polytheists said, 'the angels are His daughters', it says. Or they attribute gender to the angels. What would one say? Did Gabriel (peace be upon him) perhaps have contact with Mary?

Can that come to mind? It can. Third, he blew the spirit. Gabriel (peace be upon him) cannot blow a spirit.

This is certain.

Blowing the spirit belongs to Allah alone.

His blowing the spirit into Adam's body when He created him.

His blowing the spirit into Jesus in the mother's womb without a father. Allah Almighty Himself taking the spirit from the realm of barzakh, Himself. From the realm of barzakh. His (?) it with the realm of nearness that we call the realm of jabarut. That is, making it forget where it was taken from. He does not make it forget, rather He programs it. He closes that place off. Then His sending it to the realm of malakut. And from the realm of malakut, the bodily spirit. Its entering the mother's womb. Here, Allah Almighty Himself blowing the spirit into Mary. So no one but Allah can take the spirit.

Because spirits are created. That spirit, that created spirit, only from the realm of jabarut Allah Almighty takes and brings. He blows it outwardly into Mary's womb, places it there. Just as He blew the spirit into Adam, into the clay, and brought him to life. Yes. The proofs are plain to see. In this case, this is not Gabriel (peace be upon him) as the sophistries say. Mary drew a screen between herself and them; then We sent her Our spirit — We sent Our spirit. What was the spirit? Those who ask you about the spirits, say: it is a command of my Lord. A command of His essence. It is that simple.

That is, He sends a part of His essence wherever He wishes. He makes Himself, Himself, go wherever He wishes, whenever He wishes. Yes.

It appeared to her in the form of a perfect human. Allah Almighty, also when making a covenant with people in the address 'Alastu bi-Rabbikum', appeared in the form of a perfect human. In this case, when He said to you '(?) your Lord', the created spirits split into three groups and believed. The one who did not believe, because he was expecting the Lord of his own imagination, could not believe in his Lord whom he saw in human form. In this case: My Beloved, do not mind their denying you. In their time they (?) Me too, He says. They denied, that is, Allah Almighty. In His own essence, people expected the Lord that their own minds disposed of, imagined; that Lord they awaited. In this case Allah Almighty says, they will not see their Lord, He says. Because the Lord imagined in their minds does not exist.

There is no god but Allah. Yes.

Gentlemen, if you do not know the verses well, you make each verse contradict the other, and you also ascribe attributes to Allah. In this case they have made this Noble Quran contradictory and ascribed attributes. It needs to be written again. With proof. Now pay attention. The non-Muslim calls Jesus the son of God.

Does he? And he calls Mary His wife. God (?), he says.

In a way the deviants, the deviants, in a way are further ahead than us, having grasped Allah. Because if he calls Jesus the son of God, then he knows He is in human form, it seems. He knows. Since in a way he truly says He is Allah's son, since he says His wife, he can grasp that He is in human form. But come to our Muslims: God forbid, you have ascribed attributes to Allah, they say. Do you know how you ascribe attributes to Allah? You make a certain image and say this is Allah. You generalize an image you have seen and say this is Allah. That is where you ascribe attributes to Allah. Since Allah said 'however you know Me, I am a (?) of that, a (?) of that, a (?) of that', and since He changes attributes freely, in one fixed attribute you cannot confine Him.

You cannot. Yes. What else? What else? Allah Almighty says exactly this, again in His verse: However My servants imagine Me, I am in the form they imagine, He says. My servants. He says that Allah's servants imagine Him beautifully. Within those beautiful imagined attributes — 'lahul-asmaul-husna', the beautiful attributes are Mine — He says. Now people play word games here. Form is one thing, they say, attribute is another.

They thereby expose their ignorance. Either I am ignorant and do not know, or they are truly in ignorance. What is your attribute? What is your form? Your form is your own attribute. Isn't that so? Am I misunderstanding? In this case, with word games, people, claiming to know Arabic, both make the verses contradict and, although they are in contradiction with themselves, they do not want to learn the truth. Yes. That is enough. For opening up the verse. Now we continue with the verse.

The prayer niche that Zechariah (peace be upon him) had allotted to Mary was in a rather high place.

He made a place inside the church. A room, up high, reached by stairs. There, in a room belonging to Mary, dedicated to the church, she did her worship there.

Sir, in this place where she worshipped and which belonged to Mary alone, far from people and her family, in seclusion, that is, having devoted herself to Allah, she was in worship in a place far from people. While in this state, Allah sent to Mary from His spirit. People take the spirit here to be Gabriel the Trustworthy. Gabriel the Trustworthy is not a spirit. Nor is he Ruhullah. Look how beautiful: Ruhullah. A spirit from Allah.

They take this to be Gabriel the Trustworthy.

Nor is he Ruhullah. Gabriel the Trustworthy is mentioned in the Noble Quran as Gabriel. If this had been Gabriel the Trustworthy — Allah makes known, about a woman and a man being together and being strangers to each other, that they are mahram. If it had been Gabriel the Trustworthy, it would also run counter to Allah's verse on covering. Because some people imagine angels as having a gender. Whereas angels have no gender. This is one, this is one; the second: angels and Gabriel do not enter where a woman is. Then what did I say, can you say it again? I'll say it. Angels and Gabriel the Trustworthy, Jibril the Trustworthy, do not enter where a woman is.

They do. How do they? They can come to a woman who is covered. Where did you get this from, Hodja? Look where I got it from. When Gabriel first came to the Prophet (peace be upon him), our mother Khadija's uncle Waraqa was a very learned man. He says, Khadija comes to Waraqa: the Messenger of Allah, that is, the Prophet, says Gabriel came, she says. 'Could it be true?' she says, uncle (?), she asks her uncle; if he comes again and he says Gabriel has come, he says, you cover him, don't you, he says; yes; uncover your head, he says, and ask, he says, 'is Gabriel still there?'; cover your head, he says, and ask again 'is Gabriel still there?'; again, one day, when Gabriel (peace be upon him) brought revelation: 'O Khadija, cover me,' he says; she covers him.

Our mother Khadija uncovers her head. She says: O Messenger of Allah, is Gabriel the Trustworthy with you? No, he says. He has left, he says. Left. She covers her head. Has he come, she asks? Yes, he has come, he says. O Khadija, what are you doing there, he says. The Messenger of Allah. So may our ladies not misunderstand my words. While praying, while saying the tasbih, while their heads are covered, while they are covered, the angels are with them. But when their heads are uncovered, you will not find the noble angels beside them. Yes. In this case Gabriel (peace be upon him) would both load the spirit onto Mary and come to her.

What would our mother Mary be like in that situation? She is not mad. Every kind of question can come to the human mind. In this case, that this is not Gabriel the Trustworthy, Jibril the Trustworthy: although Allah Almighty's word is founded on truths, although He calls Gabriel Gabriel, if here He uses the word spirit, spirit is one thing, Gabriel is another. In our language, if Allah Almighty had spoken as if with our languages, people, just as they make even the devil wear his shoes backwards, would to Allah too ascribe attributes. Like what? I say 'gelin', I say. Gelin. It can mean a bride in veil and tinsel.

It can also mean 'come here'. I say 'çaldı'. A bell rings, too. It also means stealing, (?). If Allah Almighty's word had come to have such meanings like our words, the Quran would be turned upside down. Since Allah uses His word founded on truths, He called Gabriel Gabriel, and the spirit spirit. Every human has a spirit.

Every human.

No being other than man has a spirit. Its proof too is in the verses: We made man honoured above the worlds, it says. If you seek honour and glory, it says, it is with Allah. How beautiful.

So in this case how do you (?) the spirit as Gabriel? and you (?) the spirit to him. And then you spread yourself around as a scholar. Saying 'I know Arabic', you set out to write a Quran. Yes. As we always say, there is benefit in the Quran being written again. Not benefit — there is necessity. Necessity. Yes.

In another sense, Gabriel comes to the prophets and brings revelation. Since there will be no prophet from among women, and since Gabriel the Trustworthy came to Mary, is Mary a prophet? I am asking. How beautiful. In another sense. Gabriel brings revelation to the prophets.

So, since Gabriel came to Mary, is Mary (peace be upon her), our mother Mary, a prophet?

And is this revelation? And this brings a spirit, beyond revelation. Yes.

Since there will be no prophet from among women, since Gabriel the Trustworthy came to Mary, is Mary a prophet? Moreover, in another sense, there is no question that does not come to a person's mind. Here another question like this can come to mind: Although Gabriel brought Allah's command to our mother Mary, did he perhaps bring about union with our mother Mary, and she became pregnant? As I said a moment ago. Sir, such questions can come to people's minds. Allah Almighty is free from deficient attributes. He removes every kind of question that will come to people's minds. So, if here it says 'you sent my spirit', this, Gabriel (peace be upon him) (?), is the divine essence itself.

It is His essence itself appearing to Mary and giving the glad tidings that she would become pregnant. If a saint can be seen in several places at once and can make separate visits, this is not hard for Allah. Because Allah is all attributes and is (?) with the form of all beauty. What I said a moment ago is the closed form, in a limited sense. Yes. Is that so? Are these things I said correct? Correct. And the one from before is the opened form. Let us read that part again. Because Allah is all attributes and is (?) with the form of all beauty. The meaning of 'perfect' here: in the address 'Alastu bi-Rabbikum', while people were in the state of spirits, when Allah Almighty addressed the spirits saying 'I am your Lord', it is the attribute of beauty with which they saw Him.

Yes. The noble Companions too, to the Prophet: 'by the right of that Majestic Being', they say. What a beautiful oath they swear. How well they know.

They would tell it saying 'by the right of that honoured, Majestic Being'. So since they say 'that honoured Being', Allah Almighty, who is (?) with the attributes of essence, how beautifully they describe Him.

Every Companion was honoured with the manifestations of Allah Almighty. That is why they received the name of noble Companions.

I repeat. Every Companion was honoured with the beauty of Allah Almighty. Every Muslim who takes the hand of the Prophet and enters the religion of Islam, for the Prophet's sake, at that moment, that night, with the beauty of Allah Almighty is honoured. After that he would die, he would give his life, but he never leaves Islam. So in every age there are noble Companions. Being a Companion does not belong to the era of the Prophet (peace be upon him); those honoured with the beauty of Allah Almighty are in the position of Companions; if — there is a book called al-Ibriz, if you read it, you will understand this much better — if they were honoured with the beauty of Allah Almighty, in our time too there are people who, with Allah Almighty's form, with His attribute of beauty, look upon His manifestations — such people exist. These are the believers.

Back then they were called Companions; now this is called believer. They too are believers. The noble Companions are believers too. Let there be no misunderstanding. Those in the Prophet's time who saw the Prophet are not Companions in that sense. Those who saw the Prophet and entered Islam, because they came to know the manifestations of Allah Almighty, received the name of noble Companions. Yes. Indeed, to be a Companion, that is, to be a believer, you must rise to the tranquil nafs. Until you rise to the tranquil nafs, first, of the Prophet (peace be upon him), you must see the forms. You must be honoured with him.

People in worship say, oh, if only they could see the Prophet. Why? Because seeing the Prophet in this world is a sign that in the hereafter intercession becomes due to them. His intercession. That is why they strive: let us see something of the Prophet's forms, that is. Indeed, before becoming aware of the manifestations, you will first be honoured with the Prophet, and only after that become aware of the manifestations. After that you will become a believer. 'O tranquil self, your Lord pleased with you, you pleased with your Lord, enter among My servants, enter My Paradise' — you will come to be among the people of whom He says this.

Isn't it the same with the Companions? Differences here and there.

Yes. One must know the verses very well. And live the religion of Islam accordingly. (?) those who say 'I am a scholar', who (?) and distort the verses — by the lives of these people here, they prove what kind of people they themselves are. Yes. They have made people love neither Allah nor the Prophet. They have raised doubts in people's minds. In this case people have fallen into contradiction with themselves. Muslims have reached dead ends.

Yes.
