Translation

Birth pangs made her (rest) against a date tree. She said; “If only I had died before and was forgotten.”

Tafsir

When Hazrat Maryam went into labor, she did not know what to say to whom with the child in her hand, and in her shame she whimpered to Allah (swt) and said, "I wish I had died so that I would not appear before people with the child in my hand and become unchaste.

He wished he had died earlier so that he would have been forgotten. However, Allah will elevate those who say Allah and those who are with Allah. He will show such people as an example to people who believe in Allah and the Hereafter. He has chosen them as an example for all people, believers and non-believers. And He raised these people to His Essence through such miracles, and by creating miracles on them, He proved to people that His Essence is eternal and everlasting and that there is no other god but Allah.

What is said in the video

Verse 23 of Surah Maryam: The pains of labor drove her to lean against a date palm. Now pay attention here.

In this verse, pay attention to the next one too. How nicely we will prove that it was not Gabriel.

The pains of labor drove her to lean against a date palm. She said: I wish I had died before this and been forgotten, it says. Why does she say that? Even though she brought forth a miraculous child, even though she is the mother of a prophet, she feels modesty before people. Modesty. She fears they will accuse her of unchastity.

When the pains of labor seized Mary, with the child in her arms, at a loss as to whom she should say what, out of shame, lamenting to Allah Almighty: I wish I had died, she said. If only I had died and not appeared before people with the child in my arms and fallen into the position of an unchaste woman. I wish I had (?) died and been forgotten, she said. Yet Allah Almighty, in His sight, those who say Allah, those who are with Allah, raises up. To people who believe in Allah and the hereafter, He will show such people as an example. For believing men and women, for all people, He has chosen these as an example.

And He raised these people to His Essence with such miracles, and by creating miracles upon them that His Essence is without beginning and without end, that there is no other god besides Allah, He has proven to people.
