Translation
Then, while Abraham had distanced himself from them and from what they were worshipping other than Allah, We bestowed upon him Isaac and Jacob and made both of them Prophets.
Tafsir
Finally, Hazrat Abraham 'alaihis-salâm' went away from his idolatrous father Azer, his relatives and his people, and everything that was worshipped other than Allah. In Damascus, he goes to the Holy Land.
This attitude of Hazrat Ibrahim was not unrequited in the eyes of Allah. Allah gives Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) two sons. One of them is Isaac and the other is Jacob. Allah (swt) also made these two sons of Hazrat Ibrahim into Prophets. Isaac and Ya'qub were already Prophets as a result of the covenant they had made while they were in the spirit world. Allah gave these two Prophets as sons to Hadrat Ibrahim 'alaihis-salâm' in order to glorify the glory of Hadrat Ibrahim 'alaihis-salâm'.
What is said in the video
Finally, when Abraham withdrew from them and from what they worshipped besides Allah and went aside, We granted him Isaac and Jacob and made each of them a prophet. Abraham (peace be upon him) withdraws from his idolater father Azar, from his relatives and dependents and from his people, from what they worship besides Allah, goes aside, and in Damascus goes to the Holy Land. In Damascus. This attitude of Abraham does not go unrewarded in Allah's sight. Allah gives Abraham (peace be upon him) two children. Now, of course, there is a jump in time here. Before going to the Holy Land in Damascus, he first breaks the idols.
They throw him into the fire. it becomes a rose garden. After that, from there, Lot too, his uncle's son, goes to Damascus. So in Damascus Allah Almighty bestows two children on him. Lot too is sent to his people as a prophet. We will explain it when the verses come, inshallah.
This attitude of Abraham does not go unrewarded in Allah's sight. Allah gives Abraham (peace be upon him) two children.
One of them is Isaac, the other is Jacob. Allah Almighty made both of these children He had given Abraham prophets. Isaac and Jacob (peace be upon them) were already prophets before, in the world of spirits, as a result of the covenant they gave. Allah had already taken a covenant from the prophets before. And together with them He bore witness for them. That is, one who was not a prophet in the realm of the Hereafter, He did not make a prophet while in this world. Shouldn't it be Isaac and Ishmael, sir? What does it say here? It says Isaac and Jacob. You are right. Ishmael is Abraham's son, but why does it say Jacob here?
Because the verse says so. "We granted Isaac and Jacob," it says. It probably refers to the lineage coming from the Children of Israel. Of course, of course, that. After that, that Jacob; because here in the verse it is so too. Surah Maryam, verse 49.
Surah Maryam, verse 49 Finally, Abraham withdrew from them and from what they worshipped besides Allah. When he went aside, We granted him Isaac and Jacob and made each of them a prophet, it says. Here in its explanation, it is narrated that the land to which Abraham emigrated, withdrawing from his people, was Damascus and Palestine, and according to what (?) reports, when Abraham set out heading for Damascus, he first went to Harran, then married Sarah, and from this marriage Isaac was born. Jacob is the son of Isaac and the grandson of Abraham. So Jacob was Isaac's son. That's how it all goes, I mean, like that.
Allah Almighty made both of these children that He had given Abraham prophets. Isaac and Jacob (peace be upon them) were already, before, in the world of spirits, as a result of the covenant they gave, prophets. Allah giving these two prophets to Abraham (peace be upon him) as children was to exalt the honor of Abraham (peace be upon him). Also, to have Abraham (peace be upon him) remembered until the Day of Judgment, in the prayer, in the tahiyyat, the Salli and Barik (?). This was to exalt Abraham's honor until the Day of Judgment. He loves Abraham that much. For his being compassionate and merciful.
