Translation

(Oh My Messenger!) And mention Moses in the Book. Verily, he was sincere, and he was a Prophet and a Messenger.

Tafsir

Allah (swt) reminded the Prophet (s.a.w.) of the Holy Qur'an in its entirety by reminding the Prophet (s.a.w.) to recite the Holy Qur'an in its entirety, which came to the Prophet (s.a.w.) gradually and by revelation.

Hadrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' also had ihraq. In fact, all the Prophets have beautiful virtues and good deeds. Had they not been so, they would not have had superhuman understanding and would not have gained the closeness of Allah. Hadrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' saved the people of Israel from the oppression of Pharaoh with Allah's permission and crossed the Red Sea by splitting it in two with Allah's miracle. Pharaoh, on the other hand, entered the Red Sea and perished there with his army.

Hazrat Musa was both a Messenger and a Prophet. A Messenger; he was given the Book. He was a Prophet; apart from the Book, Allah (swt) revealed to Hazrat Musa through revelation. He would inform his people of Allah's commands. In addition, Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' used to ascend Mount Tur and talk to Allah (swt). In this respect, Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' is the Word of Allah.

What is said in the video

In verse 51 of Surah Maryam, Allah Almighty says: My Messenger, mention Moses too in the Book. Mention Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) too. Indeed he was sincere, and both a Rasul and a Nabi. Nabi. Now Rasul: Allah's envoys, His Rasul. Nabi: the one who receives revelation, that is, given a book through revelation, well, having been honoured with Allah Almighty's verses, to people who conveys, also from the hereafter, and who also speaks with our Lord, apart from the envoy who speaks, the Rasul. The envoy is the Rasul. I mean, Rasul means envoy anyway. Like the prophethood of the Prophet (peace be upon him).

That is, he came to people as a Rasul, as an envoy. At the same time the Prophet, Muhammad (peace be upon him), is both a Rasul and a Nabi. Nabiullah. Well, Allah's Nabi, that is, who, under (?) of the verses, to people conveys our Lord's verses. And besides, as with the hadith qudsi for example, the Prophet, with Allah Almighty, being granted to speak. Yes. My Messenger, mention Moses too in the Book. Indeed he was sincere, and both a Rasul and a Nabi. When does Prophet Moses appear, anyway? At a time when Pharaoh was killing the boy children and letting the girl children go free, his mother is told in a dream at night that when she gives birth to the child, as it is a boy, she should leave it in the Nile.

In the Nile, Prophet Moses himself, in a basket, to Pharaoh's palace, into his garden, the Nile brings. Actually in the Nile is our Lord's mercy; who, I wonder, brings him there? Then one of his wives takes him. She says: he will be of help to us. They raise him. They raise him in the palace. Prophet Moses (peace be upon him). Allah Almighty here proves the greatness of His essence too. He has him raise with his own hand the person who will be his enemy. Yes.

Allah Almighty, by saying to the Prophet (peace be upon him): "Mention Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) too", the whole of the Quran, to the Prophet (peace be upon him), reminding him, has been given in full. (?) and it is His having the Quran that came by revelation recited in full to the Prophet (peace be upon him). The Prophet comes, you see; now it says mention Moses too. The Prophet (peace be upon him); Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) was (?) a man of sincerity. Prophet Jonah (peace be upon him) was also sincere. Indeed all the prophets have virtues and sincerity, each more beautiful than the other.

Otherwise one could not be a prophet anyway. Because the first created and these are pure and clean. With their feelings toward Allah Almighty, within those feelings, well, our Lord engraving their characters into those prophets. In that case they are all in great love and affection toward Allah Almighty and (?), so that, had it not been so, Allah Almighty would not have said this verse about them. Well, for any prophet to call his people to himself cannot be, it says. It is not possible, it says. For any prophet to call his people to himself. That is, things like "I am your Lord".

In that case, since He knows very well what they are, all the prophets truly have virtues each superior to the other.

Yes.

Indeed all the prophets have virtues and sincerity, each more beautiful than the other. Had they not been so, they could not have had a superhuman understanding nor have gained nearness to Allah. What does a superhuman understanding mean? They are human too. When Allah Almighty guided His prophets with His verses, He would teach them the meanings and wisdoms of those verses too. Then their minds develop; in a way that you, I, we cannot understand, they know which verse points to which branch, which way it shows, which verse it supports. In this way, through their minds developing very beautifully, they have an intelligence above ours.

Prophet Moses (peace be upon him), with Allah's permission, saved the Children of Israel from Pharaoh's oppression, and by Allah's miracle split the Red Sea in two and crossed over. Pharaoh, well, entering the path that opened in the Red Sea, perished there together with his army. Yes. There, when he perished, when he was about to, he says: I believe in the Lord of Moses. Yes. And Allah Almighty says in the verse: Now you believe? I mean, the moment of death has come. Well. Look now, of Surah Yunus well, I will leave you today, it says, for the worlds, as a lesson. O Pharaoh! So that you may be a lesson for those who come after you, today We will save your body lifeless. And indeed many people are heedless of Our signs, it says.

This is verse 92 of Surah Yunus. Prophet Moses is both a Rasul and a Nabi. He is a Rasul. A book was given to him. That is, verses were given. A book was given. He is a Nabi. Apart from the book, Allah Almighty would reveal to Prophet Moses (peace be upon him). And he would convey Allah's commands to his people. Also, Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) goes up Mount Tur. He would speak with Allah Almighty. For this reason Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) is Kalimullah. Here one should put it like this. Prophet Moses was both a Rasul; a Rasul receives a book, receives a book through revelation.

He was both a Rasul and a Nabi. He is a Rasul: one given a book, that is, revealed to, sent as an envoy. Nabi: one revealed to. Both together, Rasul and Nabi. Yes.
