We have elevated him to a high status.

Tafsir

Idris 'alaihis-salâm' was praised even by the angels because he remembered his Lord so much.

There is a narration about Idris 'alaihis-salâm'. Ridwan, the guardian of Paradise, begged Allah (swt). O my Lord, you love your servant Idris 'alaihis-salâm'. I would also like to see this Prophet, your servant. If you allow me, I would like to meet him. I will show him the heavenly procession and deliver him back to his home in the world. Allah (swt) permits it.

Ridwan, the guardian of Paradise, comes in human form and invites Idris 'alaihis-salâm'. The wife of Idris 'alaihis-salâm' became suspicious of this stranger. Ridwan, disguised as a human, tells her not to worry, I will return your husband back to you and bring him back. Thereupon, Idris 'alaihis-salâm' came to Paradise with Ridwan. After visiting and seeing Paradise, the time came to return to the earth. At that time, Idris 'alaihis-salâm's life will also come to an end. Azrael 'alaihis-salâm' wants to take the life of Idris 'alaihis-salâm'. Then Ridwan tries to prevent it. He says to Azrael, "I promised his wife that I will take this back and deliver it to her. Azrael (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, "I am also obliged to take the souls of people whose time has expired" and took the life of Idris (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). Meanwhile, Ridwan begged Allah (swt). He says, 'O my Lord, since I am an angel, let me take the trust to its place so that I will not be a liar. Then Allah (swt) tells Azrael to return the life of Idris 'alaihis-salâm'. When Idris 'alaihis-salâm' was standing and his life was taken from him and he fell to the ground, his life was returned to him and he stood up again. Then Ridwan said to Idris 'alaihis-salâm, 'Come on, we are going to the world. I have entrusted you to the care of your wife, I will return the trust to you. Idris 'alaihis-salâm' said, "If it means dying, I have died; if it means resurrecting, I have resurrected; if it means paradise, I have come to paradise; I will never leave here and go to the world again. Then Ridwan became helpless. He appeals to Allah (swt) and explains his problem. Allah (swt) says to Idris 'alaihis-salâm', 'Let that servant of mine stay there and cut clothes for the angels. So Idris 'alaihis-salâm' remained in Paradise.

That is what Allah (swt) means when He says that We raised him to a superior position is that Idris 'alaihis-salâm' is in Paradise.

Idris 'alaihis-salâm' means the great grandfather of Noah 'alaihis-salâm'. He was given Prophethood after Prophet Shit, and thirty scriptures were revealed to Idris 'alaihis-salâm'. It is said that his real name was Unnuh. He was named Idris because he read many books. Hazrat Idris was the first to write with a pen, to deal with the sciences of calculation and numerology, to make weapons and to sew clothes.

What is said in the video

We raised him to a lofty station, it says — that is, to paradise; well, about Idris (peace be upon him) there is such a narration, we say here; we have told it, look: Ridwan, the guardian of paradise, pleads with Allah Almighty: O my Lord, You love Your servant Idris (peace be upon him); I, Your servant, also wish to see this prophet; if You permit, well, let me see him, he says. here which page are we on?

Let me show him the highest paradise and hand him back to the world, to his home, he says. Allah permits only this. You know his story, but let me tell you here a story of Idris the nabi. They tell it like this.

One of the angels — and this one they say is the guardian of paradise, Ridwan. He says to Allah Almighty: O my Lord, this servant of Yours, Idris, has received much praise. Permit me to seek him out and show him around paradise, he says. All right, He says, go, take him and bring him. He comes, he knocks on the door of Idris (peace be upon him), in human form. Well, his wife of course opens the door. He says: I am to meet Idris (peace be upon him). Idris (peace be upon him) comes, he says: you and I are going on a trip, he says. Where to, brother, he says? A journey, he says. Paradise — he introduces himself.

His wife, the wife of Idris (peace be upon him), not wanting to let Idris (peace be upon him) go, he gives his word to the wife. The angel: I will bring your husband, madam, he says, right back and hand him over to you, he says. Thereupon they go to the highest paradise. While he is showing him around there, the decree of the Truth comes to pass. The angel of death comes. Azrael (peace be upon him) is to take the soul of Idris (peace be upon him). At once Ridwan remembers. You can't take it. Let me get permission from my Lord. After I take him to his wife and hand him over, do what you will. Among us, he says, (?).

I gave my word, he says.

In particular he says: I too, as one charged with a duty by my Lord, he says, once his time is up, I hold it back not a moment, nor bring it forward a moment, he says. I take his soul, he says. He takes his soul. As he is still falling to the ground, Ridwan says to Allah Almighty: O my Lord, he says. My trust (?), he says. Then let him do whatever he will, he says. And Allah Almighty says: the soul return it, He says. While Ridwan (peace be upon him), I mean Idris (peace be upon him), is still falling to the ground, up he gets. Come on then, brother, he says. I will hand you over to your wife, he says.

I won't go, he says. How can you not go? I pleaded with Allah. You died. Your soul was given back to you. Let me put it this way: I gave your wife my word. Don't make me a liar. Oh brother, he says. Is death true? he says. It is true, he says. Did I die? he says. I died. Is resurrection true too, he says? It is true. Did I come back to life, he says? I came back to life. Is paradise true too, he says? It is true. And am I in paradise, he says? Why should I leave paradise, he would say. I'm not going, he would say.

Thereupon Allah Almighty says: leave him, let him cut robes, that is, let him cut garments; he would cut garments for the angels. There. Alive, that is. Yes. Idris (peace be upon him) has such a story.
